  1. ^As far as I know our character is not able to use a boat (see the Dragon Slayer quest). So good luck in getting there ;) Also it would probably mean would get into a lot of trouble if we would kill all the monks on entrana.
  2. So now we need an adblock for our operating systems :3
  3. But these caves look huge and seem to have big room. The Brimhaven dungeon for example really looks like a cave where the ceiling is way up, so I don't see how steel dragons couldn't fly there. depends on the type of flight, I could be totally wrong but i'm sure a hummingbird was the only type of bird which can actually hover, without undercurrents it couldn't glide, without either it'd need to fly constantly which i doubt would work with it's mass and the size of the cave, even if it was high. can the regular dragons in game actually fly though? wouldn't be the first creature with wings that lacks the ability to an extent/entirely Elvarg could if I remember correctly. Also you are correct, in most lore dragons cannot fly on one spot like the vyrewatch can.
  4. Great to hear :D I hope you crewbies will be able to fix all those outdated pre-EOC stuff :) But don't worry, jagex hasn't updated everything in game that has to do with EOC themselves either :P (Worse of all, bugs in quests, where you kill a NPC with an ability over and over again, or it clicks away the chat so you have to fight it again). Also Arcues for president! :3
  5. It probably was something they weren't able to do, or had no budget for :P And they thought of such a silly excuse.
  6. Because of what ElysianWolf said, Jagex updates categories, like the elemental-category. So if they are going to update the drop tables of dragons, the red dragons will get an update as well.
  7. ^Well most of them are in caves (probably because of humans), but yeah it doesn't make sense for those that are not in caves (for example the wildy) to not fly.
  8. ^I don't think the crew makes drop logs as they don't give % chance of getting drops. Thus if you come across a new drop and it gets confirmed (or if you are crew yourself) it gets added to the drop list.
  9. LOL, that is just silly, the only time that would happen now would be by a bug (not teleporting you to lumby).
  10. ^Just saying, could have been a third age piece ;) But if you find your bank space more important than the possibility of better rewards then that is your choice, not mine, to make :)
  11. I liked their old business model better, although it probably didn't work enough at least it didn't hurt the game, the way they are going now is shortly breaking apart the game. They turn the intrinsically motivated people into extrinsic motivated people, you get your fun not by playing the game, but by looking for rewards from bonus XP weekends, spins, bonus XP etc. For that to work you need to give people a constant source of those things (or make it random like a casino), which can only mean we will see more and more of that stuff... You can take holiday events as an example, at first it was all for the intrinsic value, a fun little mini-quest with a lot of jokes and a silly reward (still rather have a permanent update though). Now you got to earn XP with it (extrinsic rewards) otherwise people won't do it.
  12. ^You don't know if they are interfering with better rewards, because you didn't get those rewards because you got the cookies. If you have max cookies you get other rewards, which might be better. Assuming you find the cookies to be worthless, they will always be better.
  13. They should just release these updates alongside other updates, getting tiny updates each week is more frustrating than no updates in a week.
  14. ^Erm, pretty sure in most forms of entertainment we cannot even see ghosts, neither hear them ;) (as ghosts are meant to be transparent or invisible). And since ghosts do not exists anywhere (just like dragons and such) there are no rules bound to them :) Clearly the ghosts in runescape have speech we cannot understand.
  15. They could I guess but it's hard to see what it would drop aside from a bunch of rune stuff. I mean we already have cockroach soldiers so to compete with that and to be an actual boss, they would need to drop ~10K worth of stuff every kill and require some level of skill to take down. If they did everyone would probably go farm the living daylight out of it . I don't know what other f2p creatures drop, but it could drop stuff that only members can make, but non-members need. Like a nice stack of nature runes, law runes, arrows, high level food etc. For example they could use that boss so that ironman on f2p would be more of a possibility :)
  16. ^They could design a boss specially for f2p, that drops many f2p items. But of course they won't because of money reasons.
  17. ^so the cowman jokes are now changed to stev jokes? XD
  18. ^Imo you are better off without Java (one reason being security flaws, the other being that it is an very oldated slow piece of software).. And my guess is that when the new client comes out they will stop using java at all, as they would need to update two systems all the time. But yeah it would not be wise to ask for payments for the client.
  19. Kudos for trying though, I personally wouldn't even try and I love doing quests without guide (except for things like this and Elemental workshop).
  20. They should steal the DLC principle from Nintendo, who actually understood how to implement DLC. For those of you who don't know about that, Nintendo released mario kart (a full game, compared to their other games), then afterwards they released a DLC package which was priced accordingly to the content it gave (more tracks and characters). And to be honest, I don't mind paying for the client, as long as it means I don't have to have loading issues, and the client is actually good, also it would have to be a one-time pay.
  21. Great idea :D I personally would rather code than gather ;) and I would if the days were twice as long (not much free time for me). Just one small suggestion, make a redirect in the website corrections forum to this post, (non active) people rarely visit the announcement forum more than once... (If they do at all)
  22. ^To add to that: It is an update that improves the "fun" for two skills. Also the first construction update since ages ;)
  23. A bit sad that the only real update is the aquarium (real, in that the others are not really new content, or content that we cannot actually use). But well at least it is a fun big update :) I would just like if we had a small fun update to go with it.
  24. ^I don't have much knowledge of these things, but if what you are saying is true I still don't get why macs would be worse of than windows (really worse of), with better specs. I would assume that it is the software (Java) being incompatible with mac, or at least that Java asks different things from a mac than from a windows.
  25. Nearly everyone can download the client, people will choose not to have an unfair advantage. It just seems like an excuse to not to work on it. They had the same excuse when Runescape only was about 800x600, not wanting to give fullscreen because it will give better computers an unfair advantage (I don't see the advantage, in fact I see many pro efficient people work with small windows because of less mouse travel). You could use that argument if, for example a whole operating system would not be able to download it, or if only computers with high specs could download it.
