  1. I remember the time when dying meant that probably someone else picked up your stuff, except if you were really quick, ofc there was no PvM except for KQ & KBD around then. What they should do is make a short timer (not as long as gravestones), so you won't get penalized by getting killed in an easy access area, and do something like that for PvM as well, then I see nothing wrong with this idea.
  2. Hey, be glad that leveling up is not luck based. I once played a RPG where you had a chance to level up a skill per action (so per fish caught for example). The higher the skill level the less chance you had to level up. The worst thing of all, if you did not do a skill for a while your skill level would slowly drop :P
  3. I don't see much problems with this new system, except for PvM. Couldn't they just make exceptions for cases in which this system would be really harsh? Also I don't see the problem in using junk items in order to pay less for your items. In fact it would be one of the greatest thing of this update, a junk item sink :P edit: Also what is with the current love for gravestones? Back when they were released everyone hated them, because they ruined the penalty of dying.
  4. But that is not every pickaxe though. He doesn't sell dragon. That is because dragon and for this matter crystal things are considered special, and many can only be gotten in a different way than normal. The fact that the guy who sells halberds in Tyras Camp also sells dragon halberds totally breaks your argument. erm no, first notice the "many" I said in my sentence. Secondly all those halberts can only be gotten in a different way than other weapons, you need multiple quests for them.
  5. If you have time for it, why not? At later levels you won't have time for it, so don't do it then :P
  6. But that is not every pickaxe though. He doesn't sell dragon. That is because dragon and for this matter crystal things are considered special, and many can only be gotten in a different way than normal.
  7. What also doesn't make sense is a quest unlocking the ability to make all pickaxes, when you probably already have bought the rune pickaxe already anyway. Also what is so special about pickaxes that they cannot be made without extra knowledge? :P
  8. Still makes sense for ironman though, as rune plate is a lot easier to get than a dragon plate (except from diango) :P
  9. I did many quests on my previous 2 accounts (this one is an ironman), and I don't seem to remember the plot. If you did quests years ago you might forget how the plot goes.
  10. ^Except for the fact that you cannot visit crandor without doing the quest, and you cannot finish 4 task sets (lumbridge, karamja, varrock, desert). You can also not start Heroes Quest which is required for Legends quest and Throne of Miscellania (so you cannot do MTK). Do I need to continue? :P
  11. You do? I learn new stuff everyday.
  12. Consistency? Crazy, I know, but still. Really, it's the F2P endgame. Makes sense with that in mind, just that they should probably work all three styles into it. Ranged is worked into it as well (green dragonhide body), just not magic.

You don't need to leave the desert, as you can buy one in nardah I think?
  14. It was an exclusive rare item when it was released (except for the fact that you can buy them in the shop after the quest), as there were not many people with 99 smithing. Personally I think the requirement should be removed since this doesn't apply anymore. I mean heck, rune platebodies are extremely easy to get now. They are extremely common loot from hard clues and the crystal chest, so even if you don't have finished the quest, or 99 smithing, you will still be able to get these very easily. But why remove the requirement as the quest is extremely easy.
  15. Oh crap I need to check that again. Might have lost my save oops.Same for Clicker Heros. Wait a while, he is working on an update, which does set most people on the same level again as new players. Nevermind the while though, because he has been working on it for a year now, so no clue when the update will be live, if it will be live ever.
  16. This is what I was thinking as well. Although there is no real definition of "endgame". Most of the games seem to use endgame as something you can do after you finish most of the game (like with pokemon after beating the elite four, zelda after you have finished the main story line, mario galaxy after you have beaten the end boss). Endgame can be small or large (e.g. some zelda games and mario galaxy has a huge endgame as you have to repeat the whole game again). Dungeoneering kind of fits in that, especially after 99, because you kind of need to beat most of the game (at least level-wise) to do dungeoneering, it wouldn't make sense to go dungeoneering with all stats at level 1 does it?
  17. No it is not out of date, I just meant to say that you just don't need smoking kills. The lowest does not give points indeed (I guess with "lowest two" you mean Turael and Spria, which only one is available as lowest slayer master at any time). All others give points. All of them don't give points until the 5th task. But you don't really need to use the lowest slayer master. With a bit of combat training (or quests) you can use Vannaka in no-time.
  18. ^Well it was being called endgame when it was released... seems like people changed their minds with what "endgame" is.
  19. This has been updated, you can earn them without doing smoking kills (smoking kills doubles the amount though). I was surprised that I earned points on my new account ;)
  20. 99-120 dungeoneering is no endgame? Also there already was endgame, even if it wasn't fun endgame (castle wars, chompy birds, livid farm)
  21. 30 Slayer is so quickly gotten that there is no price that is logical. I did a few (maybe more than a few) quests and did 7 tasks and am already above 30.
  22. I doubt there is a problem with it if you cite the source of the dialogue, and if it is free. If you are making money with it, then there might be a problem.
  23. Except for things like the handcannon, jagex will (and have repeatable said) not release guns. And imo they do not really fit into runescape.
  24. ^ so how does this work? I am a VIP member and I got that, but I thought we only got the items at the time we bought the deal?
  25. Like Ring World tried to explain (or at least I think he did), if you try to do the first quest in the sea slug series (assuming you have completed the series), you end up getting in parts of the last quest in the series because the game doesn't recognize you not completing the other quests. Thus a developer would have to make sure that all the "triggers" have been found and that there are no glitches whatsoever. Which is a ton of work, it is not as simple as just allowing us to do quests again.
