  1. It was an exclusive rare item when it was released (except for the fact that you can buy them in the shop after the quest), as there were not many people with 99 smithing.
  2. Well I think addy and rune dragons are going to win easy anyway :p But that one seems like kind of a big project, so I am glad that we get a smaller one next to the dragons.
  3. I personally hope the GE thingy doesn't win, but that is because I am ironman :p (why would I want something I cannot use ;) ) but personally I think that is more of a bug fix that should be done anyway. I hope the two dragons win and I would like to say my second choice, but all other options are things I want (shame that they cannot do them all) I wonder if the losing ideas will win next time, and I honestly wonder what great ideas will come next time. The biggest idea I would like to see win in runelabs is the smithing rework, they keep promising it will come for like forever, but it never comes.
  4. A bit strange that we cannot view the amount of supports anymore...
  5. Imo better do something in a less efficient way and have fun, than make yourself do the more efficient way and have no fun (not saying that efficiency cannot be fun, but that people should go for the fun things :P ). So yes, go do solo dungeoneering. I was even doing it before the boost, as I wanted to do it my own way (which was not efficient at all and would slow down other people)
  6. How would 100x the chance work. Because if (for example) getting a pet has 1% chance, your suggestion would cause it to be 100% chance at kill 100. While to create the normal situation would mean you would get 100 rolls of 1%. I don't remember the calculation of how many % chance you have after 100 rolls of 1%, but I am sure it is less high :P
  7. Be sure to use to authenticator from now on, it works like a charm :)
  8. There is an anvill in yanille but varrock anvill is closer than yanille
  9. I am not even efficient with revolution lol, it may be because I am new to EOC, but full manual would be horrible for me.

There still is some storyline though, the book.

Don't worry, the original maker of all those quests left jagex. Though that worries me, becuase I want that really old quest line to finish somehow :p
  12. Still hoping it works for ironman... Which I am not to sure of :|
  13. I think they are called races in runescape and other games because they are able to communicate with a (mostly human-like) language, thus the "races" seem much more like humans than animals seem to be.
  14. I wonder how many f2p-ers oldscape will have. Maybe it will make more members in oldscape as people might be willing to try oldscape now (instead of first paying membership to try if they like it)
  15. I didn't know that being a god lost your original race also, fail! Would you class things like dragonkin non-race due to not being able to reproduce? Or just when lack of numbers cause this? Dragonkin are a weird case. I think I'd need to know more about how many of them there are before deciding whether they qualify as a race or not - if there's just a handful, then probably not; if there's a few hundred, then maybe. It's complicated by the fact that in sci-fi and fantasy, we often use "race" as a combination of "species" and "civilization". They're clearly a species, albeit a sort-of manufactured one, but I'm not sure I'd call them a culture or civilization. (If you're asking about my "dead race" comment, the question would be whether or not I'd call them a dead race, not whether or not I'd call them a race at all. I'd hesitate to call them a dead race without more information about them.) Like you said, they are not a race but might be a species. A race would mean that they can reproduce with other races (like african people and european people can get children) In real life something is considered a species when it is or was able to reproduce (or multiply), I know nothing of the dragonkin but it depends on how they came into being if they are a race. For example in real life a Mule is not considered a species, as they are not able to reproduce. However as this is a game, one might consider something a species if it was able to reproduce or multiply in the past, but somehow lost that ability. If they came into existence from nothing (or from an elder god), than that is something not comparable to real life, which would make it more difficult. All life in the Runescape world came into being from nothing or from an elder god. Heck all life irl came into being from nothing - whether you believe in creationism via religion or science and evolution we all became from nothing. As for the Dragonkin all we know of them is they lived in the previous universe, hid in the abyss when it ended then pleaded with Jas for salvation resulting in them being enslaved to the Stone. Nowhere do we have lore that says Dragonkin cannot reproduce - all we know for certain is to date we are only aware of males of the species surviving. The ones who lost the ability to reproduce are the Dragon Riders. In regards to the race/species thing I think most fantasy worlds call all civilised humanoid beings races with the implication that they can indeed cross breed. There's certainly stuff floating around the game the implies as much for most humanoid species we know of - The dwarf in love with the human at gunnar's grun, the apparent romance between rhiannon the elf and dharmorac the human, Moia being a half-breed of mahjaratt and human, the myreque guy who seems to be part icyene. Plus your notion of race meaning different parts of same species and species being separate things doesn't exactly hold true. Horses and Donkeys are separate species, not breeds of the same one, yet they can produce Mules. Lions and Tigers are independent species yet can produce Ligers and Tigons. What can interbreed is rather a messy thing and often being in the same genus but different species is enough, but then on other occasions different breeds within the same species have issue with interbreeding. Yes you are right, let me state it differently. Something is part of a species if it is able to reproduce with an other member of that species and its offsprings can also reproduce (therefore horses and donkeys are not the same species). And of course if it is able to multiply itself (bee's, plants etc.). There are still exceptions (crows for example, which is complicated), but not to many. About our life coming from nothing, you are also correct (it is debatable, but that would be to much off-topic). I meant that we don't have any species that came from nothing and were not able to reproduce/multiply.
  16. I am sorry to say, but they already said no on this idea. As it isn't as easy as it seems. It would take a lot of time per quest to make it replayable. This is because by playing quest you change the game, you get rewards, items, other quests and access to areas you otherwise would not have, and thus for you to be able to replay the quest you would need to be restricted to all those things that could interfere with it. They said that if they would make older quest repayable they would look at each quest individually.

  18. Still a no update month for me (kind of like the last three months), But it is always nice to see a new quest, even if it is one I still have to do a lot of quests for, so I am not really complaining :P
  19. Just searched for it, seems to be a conspiracy theory of evil dave and oziach... not sure what to think of that :P
  20. True, but I find it a bit cheap, and to turn two cities into a tutorial is kind of stupid imo :P
  21. If your motherboard melts from runescape shouldn't you fix your computer? Because a computer should imo shut itself down before something possibly could melt. I think macs have such a safety thing in them to do that. Although I agree runescape eats CPU, and I hope that the new client (may it ever come) will solve that issue...
  22. Why barrows dragon and a (g) dragon? Those two do not really fit in the lore. The third age dragon would be a white dragon I suppose (for third age ranger armour). I also wonder if a crystal dragon would be logical? I think they should continue the trend with those dragons not being bosses, although that would be hard with the current level of the mith dragon.
  23. I consider myself practically "new" to those areas, as they were made F2P a while ago but I don't run through them often, and I can certainly agree with this assessment - no real border is apparent. I just looked on the runescape wikia to see how it looked before the update. It looks so much more like a village/city than it is now. Now it is more like a market. Also why did they make all those icons different from anywhere else in the world? Seems just like a cheap prolonged tutorial imo. maps:
  24. Also they should have added an addy dragon long ago, as they have been even hinting to a dragon dragon for ages.
  25. Agreed, bruthope/taverly is poorly done imo. They should rename them into one city (or if I am honest, go back to the old lay-out with the new graphics), there is no space between taverly and bruthope, a new player would not be able to say where one starts and the other stops.
