Well as some might recall, there were several of us, me included, that have liked the idea but the Staff as a whole could not reach consensus and the arguments against it were understandable, as noted the last time this was suggested. Despite what some might think (:P) we've discussed this multiple times privately since then and steadily have been leaning more towards allowing them. We've relaxed several things around the forum, the censor for example, and this seemed a natural extension to it. One of the Staff (I won't single them out but they can come forward if they like) had the idea to do this as a holiday gift to the forum and I think everyone decided this seemed like a perfect time to finally do it. We hope everyone enjoys the new changes and that everyone can abide by the few remaining restrictions on pictures.

No, you didn't misread. As a holiday present for the whole community, we've adjusted the rules to allow real life personal pictures. In light of the new rule change, we're creating this topic for people to post their real life pictures. This is here to help with any initial rush of picture posting that might happen so OT doesn't drown in picture topics. This doesn't mean you can't post picture where appropriate in other topics, but please don't create new topics specifically for RL pictures at least until the newness wears off. MY XP! *smacks away with a rolled up newspaper* I kept it above 750k except for one of twice when it dipped below that. Most of the time I had a few mill sitting in the coffers. Overall I spent 15.525M. I calced it to be over 107k xp just from iding the herbs. Making the potions should get me lvl 85. I've bought most of the 2nds that I need so I'm going to be making unfinished pots for the next while. Once I get all the unfinished pots made I'm going to see how much xp and how many levels I can get in a day.

Thanks guys. I decided to empty out everything I had in Miscellenia last night with a little convincing from Saidin. It's been gathering resources uninterrupted since May 11, 2007 and it was collected last night on December 5, 2007 - 207 days. I had it set to 100% herbs, 50% coal. The herbs and seeds are listed in order in the chat.

In response to a few comments and questions. "First group" wasn't a slip. There will be a few. To preclude the comments about too many mods, I'll refer you to the comments about "keyloggers not being removed for hours". The people who think there aren't enough mods and the ones who think this will be too many can fight it out amongst themselves. I don't have the desire or the patience to even attempt it. If you haven't received a decline PM similar to the one Uga posted, then that means you'll be hearing from us shortly. Everyone will get a reply one way or the other. In this case, no news has been good news. Not everyone that gets chosen (now and in the future) is going to be the most well known in the forum. Because this is where it was decided we'd put them when everyone complained about leaving the Announcements board open for replies. That decision was mentioned in Forum Suggestions I believe... which goes to show that putting this thread there would mean it wouldn't get read just like that decision didn't. :P This here is a perfect example of how you can't please everyone all the time.

We know it's been a long time coming, but we haven't forgotten about the applications we received a while back. We had a great response with nearly 300 applications sent in. Since then, we've sorted through those and narrowed it down some more. We've been going through those left, and we now have a group of Moderator Trainees ready to be announced. Please join me in welcoming Abelmisi, archimage_a, Mamong, Necromagus, runemetsa, and Shazarabbit as the first group of Trainees. They have shown great initiative thus far, and I'm sure they'll all do a wonderful job. You can all wish them congratulations in this topic here.
