  1. Having that would be interesting, but the logistics of people keeping daily track of thousands of items is a stretch at best. So, since this seems more to be a suggestion (and an unfeasible one for us) it's best this is locked. If you feel strongly about it you can try posting in Website Discussion but don't count on it happening.
  2. I haven't seen many (of what I would call) skillers jump for joy over the duel arena changes. Then again I don't pay attention to whether these idiots who are happy are skillers; I just brand them as idiots and skip their posts. :P The problem isn't elitist skillers; it's snobs in general. Anyone who wants something just because it spites another group is a problem. It sort of puts you a step lower on the psychological development ladder in that you can't see something from another's perspective. Staking didn't affect me as it was so I had no problem with it. People arguing which is better of the three (skilling, staking, and pking) is stupid and pointless. It's like arguing ice cream flavors. If you're not bothering me I don't care what you do, which leads into RC pking since someone brought it up. You have the right to attack me when I rc. Likewise I reserve the right to call you an idiot for wasting my time and yours since I'll just tele and switch worlds. Moral of the post: 1) think about things from the other's perspective (re: being a snob) and 2) expect the same courtesy back that you extend (re: attacking me).
  3. It's common when people are packed together. Attend a party at the nature altar with 50 people and you see a random every couple minutes. The same thing happened when they first released the Master Farmer in Draynor. There were so many people there; randoms were popping up constantly. So yes, a lot of randoms but nothing out of the "ordinary".
  4. It defies logic that all blackmarks regardless of offense stay forever. Even bankruptcy gets expunged eventually. And for those who say they deserved the blackmark so deal with it. No, plenty of people get them and have no clue whatsoever how or why. -.-
  5. Seems I can now make Sara Brews. Wasn't planning on that yesterday. My thanks to the Exchange for providing a ton of herb seconds yesterday and quite a few seeds.
  6. Way to divert, your claim it's anonymous isn't true. That aside. We're not obtuse, we get what your point is. Everyone who's disagreeing with you just thinks you're completely wrong. So gold farmers can now sell smaller quantities from multiple accounts because they couldn't do that before... :-s Everyone really needs to stop complaining about how gold farmers can abuse this and how many other ways still exist. Doing this only fuels the fire. Jagex won't be stopping here I have the feeling. So how badly do goldfarmers affect your gameplay on a day to day level? I'd say that stakers were affected far more by the duel arena changes than they ever were by goldfarmers. I'll be far more affected by them continually removing aspects of the game (like 1 to 1 trading) than I currently am by goldfarmers. So yeah, let's complain some more about them so we can enjoy the game completely devoid of goldfarming... and also devoid of any enjoyment. It's always the case: perceived safety > freedom/enjoyment.
  7. Nearly everything I checked a couple hours ago has changed from what I was buying and selling at yesterday...
  8. Good call on me being wrong. Glad to see I'm the only one here using faulty reasoning...
  9. We have two completely different directions we approached this update from. You were hoping for a free trading system. I was just hoping they wouldn't remove 1 to 1 trading with this update. I'm understandably happy it didn't happen, at least not yet. For you, disappointment. For me, relief. Not saying it's perfect, but it could have been far worse.
  10. Ugh... if they're able to calculate price ranges and change them per day and coordinate the sale the hundreds of thousands of goods, I would think they would notice who's selling mass amounts of what. Did Jagex suddenly remove their tracking of trades now? I mean, we're assuming they did it before, why would they stop. Considering these updates seem to be at least partially about RL trading I think they have the tracking angle covered. Besides, when did people not buy from bots before? I'm sure I have before when buying pure ess. I don't check out each person I buy from prior to hitting accept. :?
  11. I find this to be a bit quick in publication considering the update hasn't been out even 12 hours yet. :? I went past the first paragraph on the assumption the article was proportional to the time we've had to dabble with the Exchange. I'm not knocking the quality of the article or saying the update's perfect but Jesus, give it a day to at least see how the pricing update works, not argue about its existence right away. How often do you have an operation and have no recovery period whatsoever, give it a week then test the waters.
  12. As you mentioned, it gives two opposite results from the same change. Low levels die, they race back, they don't lose their life savings of 30k worth of stuff, and they continue playing. More eventual members. High levels die, they play more to get back the millions they lost. Personally I'm for anything that makes death more of a penalty. Low level dies fighting a rat. They learn to not be so stupid again. High level dies fighting boss monster, they did risk for reward.
  13. Which would include all web browsers too if you want to take this rule to extremes. Listen, I appreciate your stance on the matter. I personally don't use it because I'm perfectly fine with waiting for my turn to enter a full world, HOWEVER... We didn't just arbitrarily choose to allow this. We got clarification from Jagex on multiple things when the rules were updated this year. I'd list them but that would be a bit repetitive at this point since people refuse to take what I say at face value. :? So unless Andrew Gower personally contacts you contradicting what has been told to us previously, please stop reporting this topic.
  14. Oh I'm around, I'm just a master at the art of camouflage. That shrub you passed on the way in the bank, that's me. That odd-looking sheep you can't quite shear, that's me. So be looking over your shoulder. *insert shifty eye emote* Oh and Ard still plays here and there. She got some levels a week or two ago and updated her blogscape post at the time too I think.
  15. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Small update, got 85 farming a couple days ago. Should be another 5-6 days to 86. In answer to some of the questions: I'll be farming dwarf weeds, limpwurts, poison ivy bushes, wildblood hops, jade vines, oak trees, cacti, and pineapple trees. Basically any and everything I can reasonably do per day. Me either. With the way I'm doing it I'm actually profiting quite a few million from the endeavor, otherwise I wouldn't have even attempted it. Estimates put a profit of 23M and completed in 167 more days. Of course, this is assuming the Exchange doesn't cripple the ability to buy seeds and doesn't change the prices greatly.
  16. I enjoy pure speculation as much as the next person.. well maybe that's stretching it, but there are enough existing topics on summoning that I think something of this limited of a scope could fit into instead. It's a tad premature to attempt this as its own discussion. Sorry, guys.
  17. The "view your own posts" link (also called an ego search) will always bring up every topic you've ever posted in. Of course, it will be sorted with the most recent topics at the top, so that is a bit of a help with seeing if there have been any new replies. If you want to only see if certain topics have gotten replies the only other way I can think of is to "watch" the topic. (You can do this by editing your post and checking "Notify me when a reply is posted" or do it when you make a post that you want to keep track of. You can undo it by editing the post on the topic) This will send you an email notification whenever someone has posted on that topic. Also, you can watch a topic that you have not posted on by clicking "Watch this topic for replies" which is located under "post reply" at the bottom left corner of the topic page. It's not the exact solution you were looking for but hopefully it will be of some help.
  18. Needle, a stack of thread, a pile of gp and the rest hides. I wore nothing but a glory, boots of lightness, and a spottier cape to help with energy. You click on the minimap in the tannery and run there. I used the ctrl method where you hold ctrl when you click on the map so I wouldn't have to constantly toggle menus to run. After you exchange the hides you click the minimap to walk back to the bank and craft the hides on the way. By the time you get to the bank you should have an inventory of bodies done (or a decent amount of vambs) and it allows your energy to restore.
  19. This is a good example of why not to ban evade on the forums. If you ever see someone you know is doing it like our friend Skili here, please report the post or PM a mod or administrator and you will notice the new account will be banned. So besides wasting my time banning a new account, it also lengthens the ban on the original one. So, since he's no longer here to use this topic there's no reason to keep it opened.
  20. You finally have a question about something other than slaying AND one I could answer, the irony. :P I found it to be around 1k per hour also with tanning and crafting if I recall. I highly recommend you craft on the walk back to the bank if you're going to be tanning yourself. It's a time savings (or was to me). I wouldn't get your hopes up of buying leathers for 1.6k ea. I usually saw them at 1.7k at the lowest when I was buying hides. An alternative to tanning yourself or buying leathers is to hire people to tan for you. Alternatively you can abuse your friends as slave labor and see if they'll do some for you... but good luck with that. Most of my friends wouldn't. *cough*
  21. Moving to H&A. Please remember to post all questions and requests for advice there.
  22. So... my point was do whichever you want. None of us disagreed with allowing this, so it's pretty much up to the leader(s) of the Tip.It team as to whether this will happen or not. He's not prohibited from doing whichever he chooses: going along with this or not.
  23. 2k posts, nearly 2 years as a user, I would think you would know better. Locked.
  24. Just posting since I didn't see any admin post in this topic. We got the PM regarding this and no one voiced any objections (which I assume was relayed to the topic starter since it shows as "signed"). I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that whatever method you decide to do, it will ultimately be based on whatever the majority of those attending want to do, since we have no way to control what people do in game, especially for events of this scale. If you don't agree with how something is done, be persuasive as to why it shouldn't be done so others will take your side, or likewise, don't participate. In any case, I hope everyone who participates in whatever method has a good time.
