While I've seen suggestions like this before I must say it's only because it's really needed. The chat system is in need of an overhaul. I really wish they would skip a weekly update or three and focus on some gameplay issues such as bank organization or the chat interface. Anyway, nice suggestion and pics. The only extra thing I could think of is a way it would allow you to continue talking to someone via pm without having to re-click on them after each sentence.

There was a very detailed post about the GP cap that I remembered reading. It was quite interesting. Here's two links to specific posts within that topic. Mostly haven't been in game a lot lately, otherwise I'd have less logs in my bank. When I have been on it's stealth mode so I can burn while I'm able. Hope the mining's going well. :wink:

Decided to burn some logs due to the extreme log overstock I currently have. I can't seem to stay ahead of the Misc. log income. -.- Got 85 firemaking the other day, updated the first post with lvl pic.

Yes, that item you can get from the Void Knights also has the ability to let you cast the Guthix god spell. If I'm not mistaken it can autocast it. Next time please use Help & Advice for questions related to RS. This forum is to discuss features of the game and make suggestions regarding gameplay.

Thanks dragax100 and ElCusco. Got lvl 72 rc the other day and I'm working on 73 now. I'm short 2500 ess so I'll have to go buy some more...which I hate doing. :wall: Down to 270 dueling rings.

While my idea isn't exactly the most useful for a really high level potion, I've been waiting for player made super compost potions. We got them from the Garden of Tranquility quest I believe but have no way of obtaining more. Using a fruit as a second ingredient seems plausible but the limited supply of obtainable strange fruits would be annoying for a potion such as that.

A better way to handle this is just to ask him why these would be useful instead of declaring them pointless. It helps a discussion when you respond with questions or rational arguments. So... What benefit would these provide compared to the two types of helms we currently have?

I wouldn't mind this for stackable items - notes, gp, arrows and the like. And although a part of me would like it for mining I can't see it being implented. Jagex would see that as making it too easy I'm sure.

I must say I was hesitant to read this topic based on the title but it's quite different from what I thought it would be. I rather like the "making things from scratch" aspect of it. This would be a nice alternative to most minigames and make it useful to have skills other than combat alone. You might consider spawns for all the basic items: tinder boxes, fishing rods, etc. Also, and this is just me, but I'd prefer that the potion man wasn't there. Instead provide the stuff needed for mixing pots and people can only make what potions they have the level for. Unless I misunderstood that part entirely. :wink: I think maybe the rewards need to be altered or else this would not be a minigame people would use. I'd say maybe some xp rewards. Nothing that would vastly upset the game but something that would provide an equal amount of xp compared to training that skill for 20 minutes. It would be cool to see a minigame that gave xp other than xp related to combat skills. All in all, one of the more unique ideas I've seen.

You also might try the Tech and Computers board. I'm sure someone there would know what the problem is. Just make sure to check the FAQ sticky first. :wink:

So much for constructive feedback in most of this thread. Anyway.... What makes the game better doesn't always make it easier and what makes it easier doesn't always make it better. Simply put this would cause more problems than the benefit it would provide. Even if this staff drop were exceedingly rare they eventually would become common place. Not as much need for natures hinders the runecrafting market - mage xp is too easily obtainable - it would only dump more gp into the game than already comes into it. You can see the effects. Jagex seems to want to combat inflation not release an item that would hasten it. The same thing for other various combo staves that would give an amazing advantage. Too many things are incredibly easy to lvl as it is, especially combat ones. Making them easier only lowers the satisfaction you get upon attaining a higher level.

Nice layout in your first post btw. Here's my two cents: The locking/deleting your own post would be a nightmare for Jagex if implemented I would imagine. Not so much post locking as the deletion part. An important part of a forum is the ability to determine what's happening when a problem arises. If people were allowed to delete their own posts they would be able to post nearly anything and delete it before a mod got a chance to look at it. Furthermore there would be no proof of what had happened. I wouldn't mind some emotes for some of the "older" randoms. Though I'd rather have my freaky forester "yodel" emote before anything to do with the drill demon. : The activity messages are one of the most annoying things when you're trying to carry on a conversation while crafting 5k coifs for example. Scrolling up every time you finish an inventory just to see what someone has said I could do without. As a suitable alternative, I'd settle for one message when you start an activity and one when it's done. No need to have the fact that I smelted a bar of iron written 28 times. Less is more. :mrgreen:

I thought the same thing about the lock picks. "I won't need this many." I only took maybe a dozen just in case. I ended up having to bank 2 times just to get that chest open. What was my thieving lvl you ask, just a mere 85. My friend who did the quest with me had 53 thieving and got it in less than 5 tries. So either it's completely random and lvl isn't a factor on the chest or lvl 53 is a charmed lvl. I'm voting for random.

Think I'm back more or less. I've been sick for the last 5 days so I would get online when I got to the point I couldn't stand being in the bed anymore. I ended up with 2 firemaking lvls and finally that rc lvl that I've been 7k from lvling for months. The rc lvl got me in the mood to rc again so I'm currently burning through a few hundred duel rings making fire runes.
