1. I see your point about not everyone living in the US. Unfortunately there are people that can't grasp the 5 day rule when it's essentially the only important rule that's specific to that board. If they can't follow a rule that's stated in the announcement, in the board description and in the board guidelines I shudder to think how well a rule about posting the times in GMT would be. I agree it would be nice but I honestly can't see it happening with the lack of reading some users display.
2. Locking since this event did not satisfy the main rule this board is based on. Everyone please be sure the event is at least 5 days away from the date of the post. I know it might seem trivial but it's done so this board isn't overrun with last minute events that no one will have a chance to attend. If you want to have an event that takes place sooner then just use the F2P or P2P General boards.
3. Moving this to Help & Advice.
4. Cleaned the last several replies from this thread. If you have something you need to speak with the author about please pm him. I'd rather not lock this as Leesters hasn't taken part in it so even if you're sticking up in defense of him don't flame.
5. Thanks for posting again Blackeagle and at least doing it on your usual account. It really shows how much you like this topic since this would be the second time you've posted recently. Just to save you the trouble of being repetitious there's no need to post a third since you have nothing of value to say. My closing comment to you is I'm glad to have merited the amount of scorn you have for me. I don't think I could stand being liked by someone as contemptuous as you seem to be. Cheers. To all the rest, thanks for the good wishes. Sorry to say Odd that the cloth is on loan at the moment. :P First page was updated yesterday with some new pictures after getting 2 levels.
6. I added a sticky on the board that has links to 3 different time zone conversion sites. Hopefully if anyone has trouble using one they might have better luck with the others. I don't think GMT times would end up actually being used by everyone. There's also the matter of daylight savings/summer time in various parts of the world that shifts the number of hours a location is off GMT. In any case the time zone convertors should be enough.
7. It would not be unjust to compare the cleaning of this thread to removing a growth. LP & apinagez: Find a better way to carry out your argument with each other. Hijacking a thread to have your argument will not be tolerated. It's not fair to the person who started the topic and it's childish. Everyone please keep their posts on topic.
8. The following links can help you figure out when an event will be. Just follow the instructions you find on the page. www.timeanddate.com www.timezoneconverter.com www.worldtimeserver.com
9. Cleaned the topic of excessive bumps. In the future please do not bump your own topic within minutes and hours of your last post. If you need to make an additional comment right after you posted then please edit your last post. Bumping if it has gone to the 2nd and 3rd page is acceptable so long as there is still discussing happening in the topic. Continually bumping a dead topic will result in it being locked.
10. Good idea. This is something I have been thinking about. We're still seeing how the board is working over all so we can figure out where any sticking points and problems might be. Once we give it a bit more time I'm sure a few adjustments will probably need to be made to make the board run as smoothly as possible.
11. My bad, havent been on these forums for a while and didnt notice it. No harm done. I'm moving it back however since it does not fall within the 5 day advance posting rule. Good luck with your party. :)
12. Could be... :-w It was the second topic I had seen in about a one or two month period and figured after seeing yours we should look into it again. Hope you like how it turned out. :
13. About This Forum This forum is a place for you to advertise your events or search for a group or team. Examples include looking for a monster hunting partner, looking for a mini-game group, or looking for someone to complete any kind of activity with you. However, if you're looking for a PKing partner you should post in the Graveyard forum instead. Tip.Iters Events Guidelines So you think you're a good party host? You might think it's easy but there are a few things you need to know to ensure your event is a success and that everyone has a great time. So before you run off to write your own event topic make sure you read all the information below. If you violate any of these event rules your post will spontaneously combust...or possibly just get locked or removed. Either way it's not a pretty sight so pay attention. Additional Rules: Deliberately not showing up for your own event is very aggravating to the guests. We understand that real life things happen so make sure you post in your topic before the time of the event if you can't make it. Creating fake events is not allowed. So if you're planning a drop party post a screen shot of what you're dropping so there are no false claims of dropping party hats and other expensive items. There can be no admission fees or payments to attend any event on this board. The purpose of these events is to have fun, not to profit. Don't complain if your event gets crashed. Since so many people will read the events here there are bound to be people that show up that you might not want. After your event is complete edit the title and put [OVER] at the end. Certain topics may be stickied based on the quality of the event and the time and effort put forth in planning it. Don't ask to have your event stickied, that will almost guarantee that it will not be. All other forum rules apply. Post Format: Every event MUST have the following information at the beginning of the post. Make sure you include the time zone. You can post and pictures, maps and any additional information after this. Copy & paste this into your reply, then add your information: Description: Date: Time: World: Location: RSN: Contact info: Example: Last edited on September 24, 2011
14. I'm moving this to Help & Advice. In the future make sure you post topics in the appropriate board. All RS related questions belong in H&A.
15. Welcome to the Tip.It Forums. Please make sure you give the forum rules a read so you make sure you're following the general guidelines around here. Also please use the proper board when making a post so that it won't be locked in the future. I'll be moving this to Help & Advice where all RS relate questions should go.
16. Just a little something to add here. Although this post does not exactly conform to the common Rate This style post it's being left here since it was novel and had a fun discussion going as well as the fact that the basic concept was not so far removed from what goes on here. However, please don't take this as an endorsement to post tons of threads which are similarly related somewhat to Rate This. That being said we are keeping on eye on it since it isn't a commonplace topic to be found here.
17. As Devilsdragon showed there are quite a few topics about this. Please use one of those so we can keep the discussions contained to just a few topics. EDIT: After speaking to the author I'm unlocking this topic and he'll clarify the intent of this topic in the first post.
18. What is the current limit? In all my posts I've never run into that problem and that's with having to lock and comment on multiple threads in a row. Personally I say the limit is fine the way it is. If you ever saw how much keylog spammers can post as it is now I'd hate to see what a decrease in that time would do. They never seem to have trouble posting dozens of messages in a short time. :?
19. Happy birthday and congrats on the level as well. :
20. Pretty much what rickau said. Make sure you're logged out and go through the registration procedure again. The button to register will be at the top of the screen once you log out.
21. We know that there are some changes that might need to be made in the Archive of Wisdom. It's something we're looking into at the moment and trying to decide how best to do. :)
22. Congrats on the level. Hope you enjoyed castlewars...but not too much. Lvl 91 :notalk:
23. Got 93 fm, first page is updated. Also was ranked 750 when I stopped. 42k maples to go.
24. I make an effort to sign every edit and post a reason for locking but there are times when you need to do something quickly before real life calls and you have to go. I'd rather have a problem topic stopped or a spam post removed quickly than leave it to sit there for an hour longer since I didn't have time to comment. There really are quite a bit of posts that need removal for whatever reason and if we wrote a pm or post for all of those too I can't imagine how much time we would spend. It's not always as simple as just removing the post, there's backend stuff that goes along with that too.
25. This has been discussed before and from what I remember it didn't really go anywhere. Having a user based system for reputation/karma would get into the area of people attacking those they didn't like and boosting their friends as well as the possibility of posting any and everything for the sake of reputation (not that they don't do it now with post count). I'm sure Albosky can be more informative about the technical side of this.
