As you're aware, posts that are serious enough to receive a warning via pm are ones that are removed from public view. There really shoudn't be an entire post which is edited completely out and left in the topic. If it needs to be hidden the post should be removed. It is however not uncommon to leave a warning edited in the person's post to explain to them what is and isn't appropriate. If the comment was not that severe the post as a whole can remain. On that note, things such as naming names, giving out personal info, or the like are noted for what was removed. All reasons should be clear and listed if content was removed. The same goes for locked topics, there should be a comment left about why it was locked.

There are more changes than could probably be listed easily but a really good way to get a feel for what has changed is to read through the old News Items on the RuneScape website. That will be kind of a highlight reel of everything that has been done in the last 2+ years. After that you might try skimming the Beginner's Guide on this site. As for the community aspects I'll leave that up to others to give better answers. :mrgreen:

I had to laugh when I read that, so true. I'd say that more guys are skillers (from looking at rate this and the ones I know) but that's most likely just because of the huge difference in the ratio of males to females that play. Oh, and to answer your question anton, yes you are paranoid. :P

Not quite sure I understand your question. Do you mean a cancel button for when you're in the middle of writing a post to get out of that screen?

A big thanks to everyone for the congrats, bumps and also coming to see it happen for those who were there. azielgoh: Yeah I thought it was kinda cool and unusual to have 3 of us get it the same night. The reactions from passers by at seeing 3 people wearing the firemaking cape was pretty interesting too. Lhn_Kills: Best tip ever. Do like Uular and burn yews. Take the time you save and make natures. You'll come out ahead at the end and will be glad for the time you saved. Jorus: thanks for the bump. The insanely easy skills I still want to wait on. I'm really considering 99 crafting, which is by no means the most difficult but neither the most easy. On the crafting note I got 90 crafting a couple days ago. I'd like to get it to at least 92 so I can be half way to 99 xp-wise. I'm somewhat hoping that Hunting doesn't cause a huge increase in the number of people wanting to craft so dhides don't make a staggering jump in price.

Sidenote: I'm not quoting you to single you out specifically but more the mentality behind this. Referencing what Sluggy said, why does one go into a channel and never say a word. I really don't grasp what the prupose of loitering in a channel for days and weeks on end is when the person never participates in the discussion. For me personally I will kick in excess of 24 hours, or at least that was my procedure before the server switch. I see little point in a channel being packed with 50 people if only half of them have spoken in the last 5 hours. I can understand people wanting to leave for work or school and leaving it on but you have to have a better excuse than it's a pain to log back in. Like Sluggy I log out if I'm going to be away for any length of time since me staying in the channel serves no purpose and hinders me in no way with getting contacted by someone. I'm sure between messengers, email and pms (amongst other things) a person cannot be that hard to get a hold of.

I agree with you about the locked threads cluttering up the first few pages of a board. I know that for the general boards at least the locked topics are cleaned off after they hit the second page. The reasoning is that the poster will need a bit of time to check back and see that the topic has been locked so they won't post again thinking it just disappeared. As far as some of the other boards are concerned I think this would best be directed to the moderators assigned to those boards, but generally the locked topics should be removed after a certain period in order to reduce the clutter.

I got 98 fm yesterday. :D I'm hoping to get up to 99 in the next few days. I can't explain how glad I'll be after finishing this goal, this has got to be one of the most boring ones I've attempted yet. Next step is to figure out what will match a blindingly orange cape. I should con[bleep] with Spooferfish I think. :XD:
