  1. I realized this yesterday without going to the drags myself. I went to world 2 to buy hides and noticed that there were only 4 or 5 sellers, each with several thousand hides, and they were all selling for 1700 ea. Unlike the yew autoers before them (which dropped yew prices a staggering amount) all the green autoers managed to do was to make crafting only slightly bank breaking. Now it's back to crafting at a significant loss. (Yes I know of cheaper methods but you try 1m+ xp to lvl and then tell me about the cheaper methods. :P) I'm glad autoers were stopped but I can't help being aggravated that it will now cost me a couple million more than I had planned now.
  2. This topic is also discussing pretty much the same thing. No action seems to be the way it's going.
  3. To both above: I'm not trying to say it was one or the other but the fact is it won't be considered for removal anytime soon after the cluster that poll became so my statement was true. Having it left visible is a good thing so at least people can see that we aren't just brushing them off and that some thoughts and opinions were discussed in the past.
  4. Out of curiosity how does the amount of users compare between then and now? I can't possibly imagine that there aren't more people posting now.
  5. What the hell is wrong with you? The fact that people are still guessing makes for a fun topic but get over yourself if you have to post stuff like that ^^ over something this trivial. I think this forum could use a few more people like her and a few less who write such unneeded and slightly worrisome things (read that as weird stalker comments) like the above. Way to throw a tantrum like a petulant child who didn't get their way. -.-
  6. These things go in cycles. We get a lot of blogs next we get events from there we have pointless this or that posts. Now we have videos. There will be another fad topic to post shortly and these will die down. While these may be annoying the posts are staying visible because someone is replying. That either means one of two things: People actually care to read the post and have replied OR the post is pure spam and people can't resist the flaming wreckage. If there's discussion going on then I don't see a problem. General includes a variety of things and may include more in the future. I've seen complaints before about how general doesn't have many good discussions. This can't be blamed on junk topics because there will always be junk topics. You can blame the lack of good topics on people not creating them, not on junk pushing them onto the second page. If it's spam (but still enough within the rules to stay unlocked) then the users of General need to learn how to let junk topics die instead of being 'clever' and posting needless opinions about how bad something is or how spammy. If they don't care they shouldn't reply. There are countless topics that would die on their own if people didn't appear out of thin air to say why it shouldn't have been posted. I don't foresee a subforum coming out of this regardless of the ease to create one. Maybe a sticky would work, but as another topic on this board pointed out all stickies do is kill any good discussions that could happen because they're crammed into one long topic with a bunch of junk. Best to leave them alone and let what people like stay on top and let what people dislike sink.
  7. After seeing another topic about this I just went ahead and dug the old poll out and moved it back to this board. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=492438 It's staying locked but you can at least read through and see why post count will not be considered for removal any time soon.
  8. I think you're somehow running on the premise that this forum operates under the principle of free speech. I believe you agree to rules whenever you use any sort of service or any facility. How do you figure that is any different here?
  9. Wow, you actually believe that. Your argument in general holds about as much weight as wet tissue paper. Jagex has more than once fixed major "bugs" months and months after they were originally released with no prior comment from them that it was even a bug. I don't doubt they could decide one day within the next year, "Oh by the way, the flag holding has been a bug since its release and we've fixed it." Flag holding is the number one reason why I will not play Cws. It made me hate the game. No, I'm not some whiny kid who thinks he should win all the time nor am I unable to plan a strategy. The simple fact is a capture the flag game does NOT involve holding your flag indefinitely. Some of you said that flag holding is the only thing keeping Cws alive. Have any of you actually considered it crippled it to start? I know so many people who refuse to play it for this very reason. I've left more games when my team was winning due to flag holding than when we were losing. Here's a part of the Knowledge Database Cws guide. Jagex obviously meant this to be a CTF style game and not the current abomination it is. How obtuse do you have to be not to see that just because it hasn't been changed that it won't be changed and called a bug? They do have the history of this as I mentioned. Bottom line, it's not cheating in the sense that Jagex should take action against you but it certainly is cheating in the true sense of what CTF really is. At this point I couldn't care less if Jagex napalmed Cws off the map so long as they leave the bank chest intact. That is the only saving grace left of that complete waste of world map space.
  10. Copycat :-w Grats on the halfway mark.
  11. Thank you for the replies guys. I'm surprised this topic hasn't been removed from my custody because of my neglect. I'm feeling talkative so a little background on what I was doing while I let my topic and goal stagnate. I got extremely bored with crafting so I basically gave it up for a while and decided I'd thieve HAMs for clues. I did 70-100 and got a nice assortment of stuff to fill out my costume room. I've also been keeping Miscellania up while not doing my goal *cough* procrastinating. I collected the first one on Dec 28 after 29 days and the second one on Feb 12 after 46 days. It's helped pay for the hides enough that I haven't really been nature crafting. And finally here's the level I got today. I was only 6k from it when I logged in so it didn't take too long. I ended up picking up a few strays in Al Kharid for the picture, enjoyed you coming guys. : (First post has been updated with all the crafting and miscellaneous levels I've gotten since the last update.)
  12. Hmm, I'm pretty sure it has always been that way and that it's also the default orientation for it in phpBB forums.
  13. Thanks Albosky, you do indeed rock. :
  14. And back to Gen P2P it goes.
  15. Good luck on your goal. :D He's right about that, I didn't pace myself as much as I should have and now I could live for quite a while without doing fm again. -.-
  16. Go Ard! Now quickly get it done before 3 more quests come out this month.
  17. Right you are. The rule only covers the public boards. Private communication and private boards such as the ones you listed are not included in the new amended rules for personal information since they are not accessible to the general public. However, users are still reminded of the potential risks of doing so even within the relative seclusion that the private boards offer.
  18. Topic cleaned. If you're going to pose counter arguments to this bank suggestion at least do so in a way that is intelligible and hasn't been addressed several times in the last 50 pages.
  19. The signature also contained a religious reference which was why it was removed. Your sig in its entirety will be removed when a violation is found so it would be prudent of you to keep a copy of the sig and all BBCode it contains somewhere on your computer if you don't want to lose the parts that don't violate the rules.
  20. Ok everyone, after much discussion we have the decision. The rules now state the following: Feel free to post any questions or comments. The Administrative Team
  21. Figured I'd toss my 2 cents in here. Is it acceptable? No. I really dislike the whole concept and I'd rather not have to bother or associate with anyone who would actually do it. Is it legal? That depends on Jagex's enforcement of the rule about deceiving other players for personal gain. I made a post about this in a topic in Gen P2P but my personal perspective is that this would be a huge headache for Jagex if they tried to enforce this and were explicit about it in their rules. I think they leave it in a gray area in this regard so that they don't have to side either way. The acceptability and legality of luring (the item scamming kind) on TIF is no on both counts. It's not viewed as any different from item scamming and it's something that is not conducive to a friendly community.
  22. "Nice" :P Seriously though, I'm glad to see you've accomplished so many goals you've had. Good luck. Oh I almost forgot, Netherlands
  23. You're doing amazing. : I haven't been on much and even less with chat on but wanted to say hey. By the way, that guthans picture is the best. Rubber Chicken Keep up the good work and I hope work is going well too.
