    Cars

I'm driving a Ford 500 now. Real nice mid-level family sedan. Miss my Camaro but with gas prices over $4.00 a gallon here in the US I just can't have a big V8 anymore.
  2. Awesome track is Shovel Knockout, Roundtrip to Hell and Back, and Was it Worth it?
  3. New Bodom album is growing on me.
  4. I've always been a regular at The Chaos Druid Tower to gather herbs. Whilst training there over the past few days I noticed eerily similar characters training together and not speaking a word. Watching their activities over the last few days confirmed my suspicions that they are bots. Maybe I'm ignorant, maybe I just hoped that bots were relegated to more obvious areas, such as Runecrafting or Woodcutting. Seeing bots in such an obscure area really cut deep for me, and proved that the crisis is as bad as it's been since 2007. I report so many but it seems like they just keep pouring in. It's hard for me to keep myself motivated knowing that most players are passing me up by cheating. And when we have no reason to play anymore, we won't.

    Today...

I have what appears to be a brown recluse spider bite on my neck. This thing is enormous.
  6. I remember first seeing somebody play it in a computer class back in 2001. Two days later we had the entire class playing it.
  7. It's possible it was being talked about on other sites, but it couldn't have been Miniclip.
  8. Even though you signed up in 05? New account? Are we talking Runescape or Tip.It? I meant Runescape. Maybe I misunderstood.
  9. I'm still around, my account is 10 years old now.
  10. Sup man, I remember your name. Yep, makes us all feel/look like old men. I consider my wisdom a blessing though.
  11. For me, it is this month. For some it has already passed back in January. For even more, it is coming up in the next few months. For a whole decade Runescape has played a part of the lives of some of us to some degree. For me, it bridged my life from a fecal-obsessed 13-year old (hence the name) to an adult. To some of us, that means a lot, and it hurts seeing the game suffering from some of the seemingly ever-enduring problems that never seem to totally go away, and come back every few years when the powers of good mysteriously begin to weaken.(jk this isn't a script for a movie trailer) but sarcasm aside, and disregarding the botting crisis, let us take a moment to remember the simpler times. :ugeek:
  12. I don't understand why you guys hate the idea of changing so much. You say that as if it meant undertaking a herculean task out of which no good could come out for you. Those personality traits are traits that women find attractive, but also men. Literally, everyone likes that type of person, and I don't mean toolbags, I mean people who are friendly, funny, attractive in general; being a douche is a side effect of being attractive, not a part of it. You can have one without the other. Now, I understand your goal here isn't to please others, and I think that's respectable. But changing yourself, though it may take effort at first, is worth it because having more friends is more fun; girlfriends are a bonus. Let's put it this way: you can't count fun the same way you count pocket change. You don't generate dollars (or if you do, hit me up ;) ). You can generate fun. And when you do, you make people around you have fun, including you. The more fun you generate, the more people will surround you; the more friends. The more friends you have, the more sources of fun, and the the higher odds of being happy at any given moment. I hope that was clear, it took a lot of thinking. Sorry this took so long to respond. I was always brought up being told that everybody is unique in their own way and you shouldn't change the way you are no matter what people say to you. When I am implored to change the way I am to please a higher number of people I can't help but feel it's all just a charade to help make me fit in. Mainstream society says that I must have interest in X music style, X TV shows/movies, and possess the same cookie-cutter traits in order to be deemed normal (i.e. acceptable) by society. I believe I am a rare case in that I I have nearly none of these traits, I am the anti-conformist. As I type this I realize that my frustration isn't necessarily towards individuals themselves, but the unfair way that people that are "unusual" are slowly excluded and forgotten by society. Maybe things will change? That's what I told myself 5 years ago as I was nearing the end of high school. So far, nothing has changed. Females are just as immature and as I grow up I see that is carries well into adulthood; the [bleep] <edited for censor evasion~Romy> shield, everything remains. These are the reasons I have no interest in them. Some might call me lazy for not changing into what people want to see, but I would consider that the biggest cop-out imaginable.
  13. If you're accused of botting, simply say something; quickest way of shutting the person up. Right now I'm at the fishing guild and I find it hard to believe that all of the 30+ silent players have all turned their public chat off; especially as they are all moving in a unified "train" to follow the same fishing spot even when there are closer spots nearby. It accounts for some of the quiet players, but for me to accept that the bot problem is non-existent due to people with chat turned off is ludicrous.
  14. Yup, and soon everything will me "meh". All of you goals...pointless. Once we get there, what will the point in playing even be?
  15. Again, the game is not a race to 99. Stop judging people solely on the number/type of skill capes they have. Start judging by a player's actions and demeanor. Our culture is so twisted backwards nowadays it is unbelievable. This coupled with the tolerance towards blatant bot usage has spelled the end of honestly playability for any of us. Soon all 99s won't be worth a damn because so many will have attained it.
  16. prove to me that each one of those people are a bot. prove. you can't. /thread. more importantly his name is poopingman therefor i really wouldnt even care to hear his childish arguments as to why you would assume their bots at all. Protip: i turned off chat when i was fishing sharks for a month, i got sick of hearing all the 11 year olds with poop in their name shout their stupidity all day Your opinion is invalid because you make ignorant assumptions about others without even considering their viewpoint. Continue to play with your chat turned off, it'll save the rest of us a lot of grief.
  17. Sickening how everyone is turning a blind eye when it comes to how widespread bot usage has become in the past few months. The more time I spend at the Fishing Guild the more I lose hope. When a fishing spot moves the entire group all follows it in a "Bot Train" instead of going to a closer adjacent spot. Multiple players are stuck behind the guild bank because the bot programs get hung up for some reason. A couple of years back we had a bot problem but it was different. For starters the bots were all obvious level 3s with the default appearance; easily reported and dealt with. Now the problem has grown to the point that people aren't afraid to do it on their mains, and in this sense it becomes much harder to track by the casual player. I estimate that 3 out of every 4 players at the Fishing Guild are botting at any given time, and it's no better elsewhere. A common excuse to the widespread silence is that most players just don't want to talk. Most non-responsive "players" don't react at all even to you calling them a bot to their face; an action that usually at least elicits a "lol" out of real-live players to prove they are legit. It appears that proponents' main argument is that bots keep the prices of raw goods down. Well how about the people that used to make money off of said raw goods? I'm making over 500 less per shark mainly due to bots. I'm not happy about that. Furthermore, what point is there to level any skill in this game if having even a 99 carries virtually no weight? We are getting closer every day, your "goals" will not be perceived at all by others because bots are watering down the hiscores for nearly every skill. Nothing will matter anymore, there will be no point in playing fair when nobody else is.
  18. Not sure what point the OP is going for here, but it does somewhat segway into another obvious point I've noticed. As the game continues to get easier and Jagex finds new ways to hold our collective hand, the disparity between the ambiguous level 50 and level 130+ continues to blur. Going back wow, at least 6, 7 years at this point there was an expectation of maturity, not so much intellect, from higher level players. Sure they were at times difficult to snare into conversation, but you always knew what to expect, and it made sense on most levels. Now, anyone's guess is as good as mine. Just one example was a level 110 begging for 100gp at a sparsely-occupied bank. Times are definitely changin'
  19. Since everyone at the fishing guild is botting/unresponsive I'm trying here. Not sure how new this animation is, but I just noticed it today and my first reaction was a burst of laughter. It. just. looks. hilariously. bad. the way the character unnaturally snaps back and forth and how quickly it happens. I just can't stand looking at it without at least smirking. Take a look for yourselves! I swear the developers just never cease to amaze me with how awkward they can make things seem, even when it is supposedly an update.
  20. It's bad. I'm at the mining guild right now; have been for the last 2 hours. I can tell you with 90% certainty that I am the only person here not botting. There are about 7 others, all following the same patterns at the same speed. Consistently going after others' rocks (generally a no-no amongst miners), and not responding at all. Most of these players are mid-leveled as well. We have a problem.
  21. I'm just laughing at all these stupid kids rioting in Falador right now. Most of them don't even know what for. The community is mostly morons nowadays, I'm convinced.
  22. I've since realized that I don't have the personality traits females find attractive. I refuse to change the way I am in order to attract a higher number of potential suitors. I accept that I had my one good chance and for whatever reason it didn't pan out. I'm constantly being berated by my friends to be louder and more friendly. I am friendly, but I am not a toolbag. It appears that hinders my chances the most.
