23rd April 2009 - Rest and Musicians
It will be interesting to see the uses and impacts of this update, I'm also grateful Jagex let us in on how it was being implementing. I now have this alongside the Zanaris update to look forward to. :)

My special runescape Idea for the summer =)
Heh, I started something extremely similar to this a few days ago. I was bored of playing conventionally, and I'm finding that completing seemingly smaller goals can be quite rewarding. Take a look at my blog if you like. :uhh:

SKULLY'S BLOG - 85 SLAYER/90 STRENGTH.
Wanna fight? No thanks, I heard midgets can be quite vicious when provoked.

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
[hide=Diary Entry #1]With the start of a new goal always comes a hint of indecision, at least that is how I've always experienced things. Thankfully, this time around, my anxiety was revolving around how to actually begin. Not being one to waste time, I decided just to mine some pure essence while I gathered my thoughts. Two terrorbirds and 1.2K essence later, I'd made a decision. It was time to get my whip back. Now, as I'm sure you were aware, my recent activities had left my combat attire somewhat drained. The only thing I had relatively easy access to was some proselyte armour that Sir Tiffy kindly sold me, alongside some of the accessories I wasn't happy to discard (namely my firecape, rune defender and barrows gloves.) So, I trundled to the alternative Abyss with my unicorn and Enchanted Excalibur. I was just about maintaining a steady HP level. One hour later, I returned to Zanaris whipless but by no means empty handed. I had amassed some runes, herbs and a level 3 clue. Thirty minutes later, and I had achieved some better fighting equipment. Not being one to give up, I returned later to get my whip. Needless to say, I got it; I also got another clue. Thus far has been productive, and I am hoping that I can continue a good run of fortune in the hope of getting somewhere fast. I want to see myself Barrowsing in the near future, so I need to stock up on useful resources like runes, arrows and food. I may start off welfaring, but it is how I did it three years ago and I don't see why it should fail me now. For those that are interested, my latest loot: [/hide]

Spiritual mages -- a little luck, maybe, possibly
Rate This! - where voicing your opinion can often lead to ostracization because you're MEAN! Congrats on the boots, hopefully your luck continues in the future.

WTF is up with FARMING? Watermelons..... then what?
If you can get a steady supply of watermelon seeds and have white lilies planted in the flower spot, then watermelons become awesome xp. I started growing watermelons again during my push to 99 because of lilies; they helped me get my cape a lot quicker. Not knowing exactly what average yields are, just guessing 10 for the sake of easy math: 10 melons * 5 = 50 melons per run (2725 xp per run). How many runs can you do a day: 5? 8? More? Cheap watermelon seeds are as good as planting trees. Any higher allotment seeds would have to have longer growing times in order to prevent them from displacing trees. Maybe that would be a good thing; I won't speculate. Average yield is over 15, I've had over 30 watermelons from one patch multiple times as well.

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
Heh, funny you should say that as the first thing I did was mine some 1K essence. I decided that I am allowed to buy things from NPCs and stores, otherwise I'd be unable to get things like the dragon scim and shards for Summoning.

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
In the future definitely, can't see myself owning Zil just yet though. My combat gear consists of a spottier cape and a rune pickaxe right now! :P Thanks for the posts guys, I'll make my first diary entry later. Things are going well so far, I'm enjoying it as well. 8-)

Cannoning Ice Trolls
With a Geyser Titan, broad bolts and the 5% Prayer I was getting just under 100k exp/hr whilst breaking even.

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
The armour is Statius' armour, only to be worn when skilling or just hanging around as it degrades in combat. :P I think the first thing on my agenda is to work myself up to some armour and a weapon, and get myself a whip back. I might also try to get myself some rune from a clue scroll. Wait so you can where it for ever but it will degrade in battle like barrows? Not quite, if something attacks you whilst you are wearing it then it will disappear in an hour. It looks great, but I need to be in a safe environment when I'm wearing it because if I get hit then it will disintegrate after an hour is up. It is PvP armour by the way.

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
New blog is up guys, take a look and flame away. I'll post my starting bank later when the last of my things sell. :) EDIT: 90 farming is still on the agenda, not going to throw away 10M worth of planted trees lol. I will do a run now and again when I feel like it I guess.

99 #8, Slayer
10/10, nice one Col! You inspired me to get 85 Slayer and then 90, it's great to see you hit 99. Wear your cape with pride, you deserve it! :D

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
The way I see, missing those drops is actually a good thing! The elixirs are essentially junk as well as regen bracelets, and my chance of getting a drop has increased now so I'm more likely to be on the receiving end of a sigil next time around (albeit this is still a very small increase.) ;)

Riff's Road to Taskmaster
Today I tried out Corp LS for the first time, thought it was great fun! It managed to keep me online for one and a half hours at any rate, which is pretty good! I missed three elixirs, a few onyx bolt drops and a regen bracelet so my LSP has gone up a bit. I might go again soon. ;)

Call of Duty: World at War
Overgrown, pipeline, creek, bog, bloc and downpour. Ambush, Chinatown, Countdown, Crash, Crossfire, Strike. There are so many good maps for sniping on COD4, if you are going to blindly criticise a game you haven't even played don't complain when the majority of other people disagree. Ok, we get that you prefer WAW (as if you haven't made it clear enough)! However, most people here seem to agree that COD4 is better and the sniping is better on COD4.
