As to if you should take the accumulator or not, you will definitely want to wear it. The ammo-retrieval effect is essential unless you want to risk death picking up your shots all the time (not reccomended :P ), and you only lose a few defense points. On the bolts, the type that "shines" depends on the wave. For most of the caves you will want to do as thekiller308 already pointed out, using the enchanted emeralds on high-risk monsters and using plain bolts on the rest. Once you get to Jad, I've found that it is best to start the fight with the enchanted emerald bolts until you poison him and then switch to an enchanted adamant or rune type. The higher bolts hit Jad much more frequently than mithril bolts, and their effects can do massive damage. Remember to distract the healers with poisoned ones though - the poison damage can build up enough that they start healing themselves instead of attacking you. Finally, remember that when using several types of bolt, take them in a bolt pouch! It saves a lot of inventory room. Thanks : I was wondering if anyone has tried using the blood forfeit bolts on Jad (the ones that have a chance to drain 10% of your health and 20% of the victim's health). Sounds like it would be quite nice.... And the dragonfire one sounds nice too... anyone tried that?

I'd say 3 or 5 for most expensive (depends on whether herblore can outweight firemaking, crafting, and prayer). 7 is the most profitable IF you do things the slow way. Power skilling makes it expensive too :-k

How do you know the 126s don't have level 1 magic? How do you know they've done dt? Even giving the level 3s armor and weapons, they'd still hardly hit the 126s. I'd also like to point out that being level 126 and not being able to use prayer defeats the point of being level 126 :P.

I'm waiting until the next update to see if they make it so monsters quit moving diagonally (doubtful) Well maybe they'll do it just for the caves... doubt it though, as this update does seem to hurt pures quite a bit. Also, if using a rune crossbow, would you recommend using ava's accumulator instead of a god/trimmed 99 cloak? Finally, does one bolt type (/enchanted subtype) shine far, far above the others? I was just wondering, as otherwise I'll probably just use plain mithril ones :P

I went to p2p :twisted: I won't be doing terribly much firemaking this summer - I'll focus more on gathering supplies to quickly buy it once summer is over. 3 more days, and Miscellania will have accumulated enough maples for me to get 94 firemaking though :D. And speaking of gathering resources... I was just doing some barrows :D. I got a dharok plate the run before this, but it wasn't terribly special so I didn't screeny. However, this incredibly scary event was worth screenying... Karil tunnel + lag ftl :( And what happened shortly after... First double drop ftw though :)

How would a rune xbow compare with a dark bow (using the same type of ammunition)?

pures are created for the general purpose of pking, puting millions of gp into training them to make about 100k gp by pking, when you could just as easily make much more money in less time picking flax or doing skills. another arguement for pures is that pking is fun, if so then do it on your main. there's no reason to make a pure besides crushing those who play fair, well balancing their skills and combat stats. pures are nothing but asn excuse to kill lower leveled and inexperienced players, because they have no chance of winning. if you pk on your main then there is a chance of being killed, thus pures are just cowards, and that's why they are undeserving of even a chance at a fire cape. What the hell is "unfair" about pures? Is there a rule against leaving your defense at level 1? All you are doing here is proving that you know absolutely nothing about the wilderness. Pures die all the time. Pures don't just fight ignorant new players like you, they fight other pures most of the time. Besides, a level 70 with balanced stats wouldn't be able to get pks even if there weren't any pures. :roll: Finally, it is very possible to make money pking. If you're really good, you can expect to walk out with a set of full rune each time you walk in. And a whip if you're lucky :pray: . Ontopic, I'm now really angry that I got members 3 days ago but wanted to get my range higher before I tried :evil: . Maybe Jagex will listen and make monsters stupid again in the caves? I think muggi should create a topic on the RSOF (in case he hasn't already). Except for slayer, but that one's still quite hard :lol:. You can say "ur teh pc nub," but all you're doing is proving you're ignorant. It has already been said that even with the game, getting 99s is very hard, but that doesn't seem to sink in...
