The conquest of Latin America has begun! The Super aircraft carrier San Martin has gone around Cape Horn and stationed outside the Chiliean port of La Serena Coquimbo, north of it's capital, Santiago. 35,000 troops has been detached alongside the 2200 mile border between Chile and Argentina to protect it's narrow passes from Chile. A 30,000 troop advancement alongside 50 tanks have crossed the San Francisco mountain pass into Chile's northern provinces. The San Martin will provide air cover for the invading forces. The other 40,000 troops have entered Uruguay with 75 TA64 tanks and other heavy assault tanks to form a Blitzkrieg invasion, and captured the town of Mercedes, near the border. We expect Montevideo to fall in a few weeks, then haul the 40,000 troops back to Chile for the main assault. 40,000 of our 240,000 reserves is being prepared for the Chiliean War. Military recruitment has been greatly increasing the last year, with 30,000 new recruits training at the moment. Tank production has been steadily increasing with an average of 10 tanks per month. Bombers, fighters, and another Super aircraft carrier are being produced as we speak. Greater Argentina will be re-created!

Good morning fellow rulers of the world! I bring you the updated map! [hide=][/hide] And because somebody suggested it, here's the previous maps with roughly the time they were made. All times are PST (Pacific Coast, -8 GMT) [hide=]Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:38 pm Tue Jul 28, 2009 6:11 pm Tue Jul 28, 2009 9:54 pm Wed Jul 29, 2009 11:47 am http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/9449/map004.jpg Wed Jul 29, 2009 6:38 pm Thu Jul 30, 2009 12:20 pm(CURRENT) [/hide] -- Argentina can sell you uranium; with the conquest of Gabon we have an excess quantity of it. Have you thought of nuclear power? Nuclear facilities are a bit expensive, but with an constant influx of uranium (which Argentina can sell to you) it's a lot of cheap power after the facilities are completed. Talking about nuclear power, two nuclear power plants have been completed back home. Already, they power 30% of Argentina. Two more are being created in the providence of La Pampa, and should be finished in two years. Our uranium extraction in Gabon is expected to increase by 30% this year. Secondary school graduation percentages are rising to 81%, thanks to the nation's support of education. Another 20 million dollars has been given to schools throughout the country to improve their education. 10 million has been sent overseas to improve the education of the Gabonese and Congoese people. Also, 21 million dollars has been used to set up hospitals and other medical facilities in our African countries. The super aircraft carrier, El San Martin, has been completed! It weighs roughly 740,000 tons and can carry 80 aircraft and transport 5400 troops and 98,000 tons of cargo. 12 new TA64 tanks have been produced, along with 15 self-propelled artillery vehicles. Our military has 170,000 troops worldwide with 30,000 in Africa, with 10,000 of those specifically guarding Congo from the crimelords and Rebels in the jungle. The other 105,000 (35,000 in Luxemburg's possession) are stationed back home, awaiting for the next assault.

Argentine forces captured Brazzaville, capital of Congo, and secured 75% of the country, the rest of the land is thick rainforest mostly unhabitable. The offical government has officially surrendered and gave over the country. But some loyalist fighters, corrupt officials, and crimelords are hiding in the forest. 10,000 Argentine troops are going to be left behind specifically to guard the country from the rebels and criminals. Argentine logging companies are starting up large-scale operations in the edge of the rainforest under the protection of the Forest Guards. Another twenty new TA64 tanks have been produced and another 7 submarines have been repaired and created. The Verde Soylante seed has been correctly engineered and mass produced thanks to piecing together the information gathered from Lent's old laboratories. Another 10 IR64 Pampas Airfigters have been created and 10,000 new recruits have joined our military: 1000 to the airforce, 2200 to the navy, and the rest in the army. The whole country is preparing to go into a massive military build up. Unemployment is at an all time low, 5.97%! Tanks, aircraft, and guns are being created at a very, very fast rate. The Verde Soylante seed will support the increased military personnel in Argentina and abroad. UPDATED MAP: [hide=][/hide]

The Argentine conquest of Congo has been half-way completed. Pointe-Noire (main port of Congo) has been taken off-guard and was easily captured by our army. Heavy fighting is taking place in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo. A large group of my best forces has gone ahead, past the capital to hold Ngo, a major junction between the north and south of the country. Further north is thick rainforest and won't go ahead until the capital has been secured. Our bombers are constantly being used in several bombing runs in Congoese military points. Resistance in the capital is tough, but if they are allowed to flee into the rain forest, we're going to face a very tough guerrilla war in the African jungle. The Super aircraft carrier is half-way built and 25 new IA64 Pampas (The next generation of the IA63 Pampa for the Congoese fight.) are built. Two nuclear power plants are nearing completion in Rio Negro and Cordoba back home. -- UPDATED MAP: [hide=][/hide]

I tried that today but I got wrenched. -.- After every fresh sapper whip out revolver and give him a shot or two. Usually i only the sapper spam technique when the engy is turtling in a corner, so they can't dodge the revolver shot and they die after 2 or 3 sappers. I haven't thought of shooting them. I'll have to try that next time. Talking about wrenches, is it me or are they usually a one-hit kill on spies?

Gabon has surrendered a month ago (2 hours irl time) due to the the unavailability of resisting Argentine quarantine and nonsupport from the populace. Both sides lost relatively small troop casualties, roughly 700 Argentines and 900 Gabonese. The fighting was mostly skirmishes in urban and rural fields. The time spent was primarily dealing with securing area and providing care and control of it. The surrender went smoothly and peacefully, done so after the first few days of fighting in the capital. Now our troop number is roughly 27,000 and the planes still have most of its bombs. I have decided to invade the Republic of the Congo as well and await a reinforcement of another 30,000 fresh troops from the homeland to assist for the invasion. Congo has more military might than Gabon but it has an unstable government with several groups who would love to topple it. The navy has blocked Pointe-Noire, Congo's major Atlantic port. Like Gabon, Congo also relies heavily on imports. Our army is moving southward from Libreville to the Congoese capital; they'll arrive in a few days. In other non-military related news, Gabon is one of the world's largest uranium extractors and exporters in the world. Due to this, the Argentine nuclear energy development is increasing at lighting speeds. We predict to have a fully functioning, mass-power producing power plant in three, four years time. Anybody who wishes to trade mass amounts of uranium, along with Argentine nuclear energy knowledge, in exchange for leather/meat trade opportunities, tanks, or aircraft, please reply. Gabon also exports lots of manganese. Like uranium, its one of the world's largest exporters. This element is great for the creation of stainless steel, a vital element in construction. So if a nation needs lots of steel for a massive construction project, we can make some sort of deal. 71% of our secondary school students are graduating school, thanks to the special emphasis of education set in Argentina. More and more students are becoming engineers, doctors, and other specialized professionals. The University of Buenos Aires is getting a 10 million dollar expansion to provide more books, computers, and educational teaching needs. Another 15 million is going to improve primary and secondary schools throughout the country, and plan to pass this policy to Gabon in the near future. Medical care is slightly improving, with the government adding 25 million dollars to open new free-public hospital for the lower classes. So, Doom, does that mean Argentina and Brazil are allies? Or some sort of neutrality-stance? -- UPDATED MAP! Now with Alliances! Connecting names and countries in the right-hand side key shows whos allied with who. Red stands for non-agreesive groups and green for alliances. I still need to know whos in the European Confederacy though...Oh, and Japan has the right color font. :P The satilite icon is for nations particpating in the international space program. Oh and the slashed nations are being invaded/almost in control of another country. Again, if there's any problems, please post or PM. [hide="UPDATED MAP; 10][/hide]

I agree to the non-aggression pact, but will require another visit from the Pope. This time in Gabon, once we captured the country and calmed the citizens. With 60% of Gabon's citizens being Catholic, it's invaders inviting the Pope will ease relations between loyalists and the new government. Already, Port Gentil (2nd largest port of the city) has been captured and the army is fighting in the nation's capital: Libreville. Victory is near; the government is loosing support and resources due to our naval blockcade and their heavy reliance of imports. The lack of resources will force the people support the end of the invasion. Back home, Argentine scientists and engineers are working on a modern, heavy assault tank: the TA64 (Tanque Argentino 64). This tank will support our troops occupying Gabon and national security. Our imports to relation of exports has increased to 47%, a staggering increase for a few months. Several new leatherworking and meat packaging companies are being set up due to the increasing economic status. Three more submarines have been repaired from Lent's reign and are on route to Gabon.

They were depatched in my update. Crossing the Atlantic took a few days (minutes) and we just landed. Most of the campaign was the plan and not yet completed. It would take more weeks (hours) until we captured both Port Gentil and Libreville. Er, you wouldn't mind being that colour until the next update? I don't want to re-save and resize the map again. :( Yeah, I don't like the idea of a country being completely wiped out. *cough*Mexico*cough*. I think when somebody quits the game, the country goes back to it's real life status with some things from the old regime until somebody else wants to play that country (coup, a government rose from the anarchy, etc) or gets conquered.

Another good tactic, and a funny one, is keep sapping the sentry. As soon as the engie wacks it off, sap it again. If you do it correctly, the engie won't have time to repair his sentry and the continuous sapping will drain the sentry's health. The key to this is moving quickly and avoiding his fire, and make sure there aren't many other enemies in the area. Doesn't work all the time, but its worth a shot if the engie is well placed.

Argentina has shipped off 30,000 troops, 30 tanks, and 50 jeeps and other quick-military transports over to Gabon, Africa. One of our aircraft carriers, two submarines, and three battleships escorted this army. We intend to set up a naval blockcade of the capital (Libreville) as our troops land south and move their way north to the capital. The landing went according to plan and our forces should capture the city of Port Gentil in a few days. I have promised the government fair and equal rights under no discrimination of political, national, or racial background if they surrender to my forces. We are still awaiting a response. -- UPDATED MAP [hide=][/hide]

I have excess uranium which I could sell to you, in return I could do with some of the rarer minerals(Lithium, platinum, Iridium etc.) I'll pass. I have my own plans to secure some uranium. -- And for easier convience, I'll try to make an updated map and keep it updated as much as possible.

This half of the year, Argentina's nuclear energy program is slowly moving onward to success. Uranium is running low at the moment though, which will cause some cutbacks. Argentina's Military is now at roughly 165,000 active troops with roughly 240,000 on reserves. 150 slightly modernized TAM tanks are available for military use. Five bombers and sixteen fighters are the main assault force of our airforce. Three submarines have been saved and added into the military. Crime has been reduced 30% and education has been vastly spread. Ruralization has been going sucessfully well, and leather, meat, and corn production has increased 30%. The natural gas facilities are continuing to be built. In more international news, our outdated battleships are being turned into massive transport ships. We're also building normal transport ships to transport tanks and infantry across seas for future expansion.

When Lent controlled Argentina, he was doubling and then tripling the navy. After the coup, we still used them. Not all of it of course, some ships were lost or purposely sunk by the loyalists; such as our submarines have been damaged and are being repaired as we speak. The battleships are used to patrol and engage pirates south of Tierra del Feugo and off our coasts. Better than nothing though, right? At least until we build up our navy. So roughly 7 months have gone by from the start of the recovery of Argentina. Exports have increased from 30% (in relations to imports) to 38%. Several natural gas mines are being built and will be ready in a few years. Our mass natural gas reserves will bring us wealth when we begin to export it. Argentina's small nuclear research and nuclear power is starting to grow. I wish to acquire nuclear power to rely less on oil, coal (one of the worlds largest users), and natural gas. Argentina's one of the highest countries with crime. Our police are being upgraded and maintain a stricter control and surveillance. Jail sentencing are harsher, strict, and more merciless.

I agree to your terms, on the promise that the Pope will be protected by not only my best troops, but your own best catholic troops as well. I control how long he stays (I'll give you two months on this particular visit)I will require you to pick us up, my plane is doing other business. Of course, transportation will be provided and maximum protection will be issued. I can send 35,000 of my troops to your choosing. Indy, Nopec is a oil economic agreement, correct? What is it's purpose?

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Lent's offer still applies from me. Although in one condition. Since you do control the Pope, I will require for the Pope to make regular visits and participate in church-related activities here in Argentina. It's citizens are mostly Catholic and would feel most grateful if their religious leader came to town; a heightened moral and patriotic feeling. Also some funding to create charities for the poor. In which, our military still consists mostly of the equipment from the last regime. 12 Battleships and 2 aircraft carriers. We're planning on building a super-aircraft carrier soon enough. Our army consists on a good number of battle tanks, APCs and heavy infantry. Roughly 150,000 active troops and gaining many more due to the calmer times after the coup. We will also start exporting several leather-goods, such as car seats and clothing. Particular countries with several car manufacturers or fashion companies might be interested with a trade. Last but not least, the Royal Palace has been 1/3 finished. This palace includes living quarters for the King (me), a public park, a outdoor shopping plaza, and historical and scientific museums. The police force has been heavily updated and will continue to be so; Argentina was and is a dangerous and crime-fulled place and I wish to change that. Old laws have been changed in choice of more correct ones for the good of the people. (Can you believe that a minor cannot be charged of a crime? A 16 year old can murder his parents and he won't get in trouble :wall: ) Once we get our full balance on the swing, we will start creating super highways throughout the countryside, making transportation of goods easier.

Aww come on Lent, don't ruin Argentina like that. :P Okay, instead of an earthquake, the reign of Lent's government collapsed by a violent coup led by Nick El Sesenta Cuatro in front of the Casa Rosa earlier this year. Paraguay and Uruguay, taking advantage of the instability of the crisis, seperated from Greater Argentina back to their original nations (this means 2 new counties are up for grabs). After many weeks fighting the Loyalists, my forces secured most the country but some loyalists still may be hiding in the countryside. The central valley and the Pampas are under my control. Most of the loyalists fled to either the northern dry regions near the Bolivian border or to the cold Patagonia down south. The chaos weakened the Argentine economy and destroyed some exports, including the Verde Soylante seed. This seed is no more until our scientists can re-engineer it. The ex-Argentine military equipment is being used to protect against Loyalist attacks as we try to bring the country under control.
