Damnit I lost the game... :wall: Anyway...today I started playing Jak 2 again for kicks, and I forgot how fun it is driving around trying to hit as many Krimson Guards as possible. And right now I'm trying to make Source SDK program work...a interesting little software that'll let me do Team Fortress 2 machinima if I can figure out how to work it.
  2. Im guessing your Christian and other other religions are wrong right? Yes. Some aspects of religions are wrong. Condemning your daughter if she got raped, condemning homosexuals, killing all infidels, cut the hand off a thief, stoning to death a man who spoke against God. We can't use religion as an excuse. Because if that was the case, I'll make my own religion saying I can do whatever I want and (by your logic) the cops can't stop me.
  3. Wow this thread got big fast. \ But on to business: I like the idea of ruralization. One problem real-life Argentina faces is that we rely too much on imports. We export cheap leather in return for expensive leather-goods. Now in Argentina, we produce the leather from the Pampas, make something out of it in the factories in cities, and export it around the world for massive profit. To create more jobs, we set up multiple tunneling companies along the Andes to create fast-traffic railroads and roads to transport goods and the military. Two super-highways through the Amazon rainforest are being built right now as well, connecting eastern-populated Brazil with Peru and Equator, and Argentina and Bolivia with Venezuela and Columbia to the north.
  4. District 9 has segeration symbolism? Obvious clue is obvious!
  5. I never got into reality TV shows. I tend to switch channels one on of them comes on, even if its the slightest bit of "reality". Another one is drugs. Say what you want, I think its pointless.
  6. Argentina?
  7. That quote just deals with revenge outside the courtroom. What's the difference between outside and inside the courtroom? Why don't the executioners in Death Row get killed too? Because we don't let them; because "an eye for an eye leads the guilty man blind". The 9 and 10 year olds should be inspected, as said before. But the 13 and 14 year olds should definitely go to jail. They KNOW what rape is and they willingly did it. Other than that, I agree with all in Barbaric's post minus the blame the parents part. But the girl's parents need to be dealed with too. Not letting the girl return because she got raped? I probably would of beat the crap out of them if they told me (as a cop) that.
  8. [hide=] Well, Bolivia and Peru should be the first step. The Bolivian military is weak, they spend about as much a year on their army as the US does on a single raptor. Also, 40% of their army is under 18. They also have no air force to speak of. Peru on the other hand has a strong military. Not as strong as Brazil, or Greater Argentina, but it would be smarter to assimilate them rather than fight them. The best way to do this would be to allow their leader sovereignty, but still answer to us, but we would mostly stay out of his business, and in exchange he would get cheaper energy from us, and our assistance if needed. Bolivia has a very weak military as I said, but it would still probably be good to assimilate them as well, rather than fight them. Ecuador would probably follow Peru, especially if we imposed an ultimatum on them, for example, any country that doesn't join us will be blocked from trading to any of our countries. Assuming that all went according to plan, All that would be left would be Columbia, Venezuela and all the northern countries. According to the internets, brazil has 1.4 soldiers, including reserve, with several hundred thousand on active duty. Columbia also has a large army, with 400,000 on active duty. I would rather not have to expend a huge amount of manpower to fight columbia. It would either be in our best interests to have them join us, in exchange for our help with ending their drug wars. Then all that's left is venezuela, because the northeastern countries border me, and could easily be conquered or assimilated. I think we could have venezuela join through a mutual trade agreement, plus, joining us would bring them more power, and I'm sure chavez would want that. [/hide] Just assasinate Chavez. He'll be all against this "New World Order" "American" type deal anyways. I wanted Argentina but Lent took it...maybe I'll just be 2nd in command while I'll handle the internal problems while Lent works on the external expansion.
  9. Letting him die though is......somewhat inhumane? He brought it upon himself, but that doesn't mean they essentially let him die. Exactly. Why should we feel guilty?
  10. From what you've said, it sounds like they haven't adapted after these 200 years. And I still don't get why it was okay to force them to adapt, but I'll just leave it at that. Because they're not being like their ancestors. If they give a damn about their culture, they wouldn't be in the city.
  11. Then we can set apart the asskissers and not. sorry for going off-topic on your thread hawkxs. How will we do that ? You know, seperating the asskissers from the non-asskissers ? There's a more specific word for it, but I don't remember. Basically: Poster is a Girl: Oh great idea, you're smart! Poster is a Guy: Lame, you fail.
  12. This is so true O___o Also, my Asian parents are strict and they are also controlling and manipulative. And we eat a lot of rice... Instead of grounding they hit you. Or maybe that's just us xP Haha what does eating alot of rice have to do with getting in trouble? They put something in the rice.
  13. The rules mention religion but we still "harass" that as well without anybody saying a word.
  14. If the aboriginals are like the blacks here in the US, pulling the whole "It's their culture" card is pretty stupid. Ask any black guy what their ancestors did back in Africa. 99 out of 100 won't know. So if they don't know their ancestor's culture, they can't say that they want to be in it. They have to follow the culture of the land, which is Western. Besides, with all the things I'm reading on this thread, all the help the aboriginals are getting, when one of them don't want to work its because they don't want to. They can think themselves as failures, I don't care. But they have to contribute to society if they take from society. Else they need to be locked up.
  15. Then we can set apart the asskissers and not.
  16. I love all the sailing jokes! Said before, Lumbridge. First town that came to my mind too.
  17. Need I say, Falcon Punched ? I thought you were above memes, Adrenal.
  18. Russia. I was looking forward to reading things to do in Russia, too. Anyway, if you're ever in Fontana, get the [bleep] out and get the 10 Freeway west. Head to Los Angeles and visit Hollywood or something. *Edit: Who could ever forget Disneyland?
  19. Refusing service to a overly-drinking teenager? My kind of hospital.
  20. God damn, why does OT have a strange obsession over PETA? I haven't seen PETA change anything around enough to cause chaos.
  21. No [cabbage] Sherlock, society would only care if its one of their heros who did something wrong. But replace "Vick" in my post with any other criminal and it would still fit according to me. So he shouldn't be allowed to ever do the whole American dream thing ever again... because he killed dogs. :wall: Either way it's still stupid as hell to not allow someone to go back to work after paying his dues. No he shouldn't. Along with all other criminals who comitted horrible acts willingly. He had a chance to save himself, but he didn't take it. He wanted to cross the line, knew what would happen on the other side, and crossed it anyway. Humans control themselves so they DON'T cross the line. People who can't control themselves, can't function in this world. Simple. And again, "It isn't "killing a few dogs", it makes it sound so insignificant when you say it like that. He made dogs fight for no reason at all (it isn't like he was going to eat them afterwards, right?0 made them suffer for no reason at all, then electrocuted them afterwards. I'm no animal lover, but we should at least be decent with these creatures.". Oh, I see. Maybe saying "We're above natural instincts" would be better?
  22. He WAS punished. With 2 years in jail and 70 million in fines. If that isn't enough for killing a few dogs then that's your opinion but apparently the opinion of the judge and jury is that he is now a free man. 2 years is hardly enough. That's my point. And jail, lets be honest folks, its a joke. TV, exercise, socializing with inmates...the only "hardship" you might have is with gangs, but that's what you get anyway. And isn't "killing a few dogs", it makes it sound so insignificant when you say it like that. He made dogs fight for no reason at all (it isn't like he was going to eat them afterwards, right?0 made them suffer for no reason at all, then electrocuted them afterwards. I'm no animal lover, but we should at least be decent with these creatures. If Vick was a dog-eater, then kill the dogs quickly. Not force them to fight and suffer for who knows how long. No [cabbage] Sherlock, society would only care if its one of their heros who did something wrong. But replace "Vick" in my post with any other criminal and it would still fit according to me.
  23. How can he of screwed up!? I really don't get that. Not just Vick, but any other criminals. If he willingly committed the crime, how can we say it was a mistake. He knew it was wrong and and still did it. It's not a mistake, he didn't screw up, he willingly committed the crime. What I absolutely hate about this whole debate is that people wouldn't give a rat's distended anus if he wanted to be a garbageman, but since he's going to be making millions every year, he is opposed. I think it's jealousy. What...? It could be Vick the Football player of Vick the garbage man for all I care, if you willingly committed a crime you should be punished. It's not a mistake, its not a screw up, its your illogical desire to do unnecessary harm. I really don't know where you got the money factor from...maybe read, next time? :? FAILFAILFAILFAILFAILFAILFAILFAILFAILFAIL.... What, you think we should be allowed to kill and to fall into our savage instincts? As humans, we are a special part of this world, something of a higher level of complexity. At that higher level we shouldn't be relying on things animals do. We should be responsible for our crimes, but ultimately not commit them. I'm pretty sure you'll agree, in which case please ask what I mean rather than use RSOF debate tactics.
  24. So those things do exist! Both creepy though. :?
