  1. You know what I did? I wrote down "Jagex are releasing updates that make the game easier. Such as skill capes..." then added the " but not all of them are geared to it.." later on the post. As you can notice by the two periods...lol. My bad.
  2. Which is better, Scattergun or Force-a-Nature?
  3. Well either the Russian chick is "Juicy!" :D or "Juicy..." :?
  4. "Only implement updates"? Stop twisting my words. Jagex are releasing updates that make the game easier but not all of them are geared to it.. Such as skill capes, the quest-helper thing, grand exchange, Make X, and other easier methods of skilling. Of course, whatever floats their boats, but I can't stop to think that what the grinders do is a tad routine and boring. If everybody does the same thing, it's not exciting you know what I mean?
  5. [hide=] Again, nothing has really changed. The people who act the way you describe probably aren't indicative of any larger pattern in Runescape culture. There are still plenty of people who like to explore and figure things out for themselves; you just aren't noticing them. The majority of Runescape updates are not geared towards people who grind endlessly. Those people don't need updates, because they'll just accept the status quo and grind away with whatever method they think is the best. Quests and minigames in particular make up a large part of the developers' efforts, and their target audience falls squarely in the "explorer" group. If the game loses its "unknown excitement" for you, it's because you know now; nothing has changed but your attitude. To a new player, it's still unknown. [/hide] We're not discussing the lack of explorers, but the overpopulous amount of "quicker" people. Folks who want to get everything done fast and now. Which eventually will make the game into a routine and unoriginal. The point I'm trying to make is that if people continue doing everything quickly, you're not going to have an enjoyable time playing the game. Since your concern, your only concern, is to efficiently train to be the best. Which, with a game over 10 million people, you're going to be working for a very long time. An this isn't work, its a game. And to avoid more stupid posts, I am not saying everybody is like this but there is a large number.
  6. Like legit newbies like myself and many others. But there seems to be a rise in the number of players just playing to get the most 99s. They make the game into a grind and when they finally quit they badmouth the game saying its the worst piece of crap ever with too much grinding, when they only put themselves into that situation. Eh, if you're calling yourself a noob, you're probably not that new to the game. Also I don't know many people who enter members then immediately grind to a 99. I guess I don't hang out with the people your refering to because I don't see many of them. I'm not calling you out or anything; it just seems like your trying to make something very serious that really isn't. About every RuneScaper I see wants to get quick 99s. Or something way out there (like Godswords) the fastest possible way. This thread is about exploring on the surface, but deeper in it's about the lack of relaxing and having fun. When you explore, you're not grinding away rapidly but at peace in your own pace. And it is a serious problem (to me at least) because this makes the game developers create updates to please the grinders, helping them get a level faster, making the game loose it's "unknown excitement". I've stop playing 2 MMOs due to that.

  8. Just pick a race and class that interests you most. Please. Don't ask for the easiest class, most pimp race, there's enough unoriginal "80" grinders in the game.
  9. Cuz they no share sandvich. Seriously, I don't know. If Stalin and Hitler went to high school together, they'll be the school's toughest bullies. Until they go into Economics 101.
  10. Couldn't have said it better myself. Also, I hate it when brothers 'own' their own food. Your father bought the groceries to share with everyone, what makes you think the icecream belonged to you? If you weren't in such a difficult time in your life I'd slug you in the back of the head. Don't be so hard on him. His parents (that's right she's your MOM now) are newly weds and probably have loud sex late into the night, directly above his bedroom. Well no, she isn't. If my parents got divorced and I got a new step-mother/father, I would not consider them as such. That' doesn't mean I'll be disrespectful, but don't say they're my mother/father now.
  11. Before I purchased members, I always read the RuneScape world map. I imagined how Ardougne would look like or what the hell was "Castle Wars". When I first got members I went off exploring, instantly. I always do that when I get a new game. I went to Ardougne and some other places, amazed or disapointed to what I pictured of it. But it was all good, since I was finally there. Even throughout my gaming experience I never really "grinded" or aimed so much for levels rather than fun. I did some quests for fun, I did others for new items which will bring me fun (particually dragon weapons for Castle Wars). I did some skills for fun, others to save money. (Fishing my own food, but farming for enjoyment. I never got 1 coin profit from farming and I went up to the lvl 50s without buying anything neither.) I did a couple of Barrows runs until it got boring instead of doing constantly until I got a drop. And exploring was my fun. Unfortunately RuneScape has become GoalScape, and many people are so focused on getting goals they begin to think the game as stupid and pointless. It's only as pointless as you make it go. And for some, that's pretty far. Heh, I kinda wanna play RuneScape again. :D
  12. My bottle of rum knocks down any Heavy.
  13. I thought people were smarter than this. :wall:
  14. I don't know what's more funnier. OP's story or having a woman talk to you in a thick-Russian accent. Maybe if you give her sandvich she'll go away.
  15. It's a game. It's purpose is to entertain. So if you think having fun is worth it, go ahead.
  16. Anon = Anonymous = 4chan, etc
  17. Hack the Iranian internal network to launch their nukes upon themselves. Go Anon!
  18. Vonage...when I first heard one of their commericals I had it stuck in my head all day. Doo do dododo dododo dodo do dodo... Not that it's bad, its a bit catchy.
  19. I'll rather buy a board of wood with 4 wheels and an engine than drive a mini-van. -- I'm surprised how many spoiled kids are in my school. A quarter of the parking lot is filled with BMWs and Mercedes. -.-
  20. I think there should be such a thing as "neutral" karma. For example, an executioner wouldn't get bad karma for removing someone who is a threat to humanity but also wouldn't get good karma. I'm not into the whole Karma thing, but you're right. "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind...unless you only do it to guilty people."
  21. It's about suffering, innocent, and guilty. If Person A made Person B suffer, whom did not cause suffering to Person A at all, then Person A is "bad" for suffering an innocent person. It's who ever throws the first punch. If you know it will bring suffering to those who did not commit suffering to you, and you willingly did it, you're guilty. And guilty is "bad". It isn't rocket science.
  22. It would be awesome if heaven was...awesome. I can't really describe it in words, but...it'll be like it is now but without the negative stuff. Hanging out with friends, having fun, not worrying about it, but x10 better. Instead of visiting a couple of places each day (park, movie theater, restaurant, hiking trip, etc) they'd be millions of options for us. We'll still sleep and eat, but we wouldn't work. We'd have hobbies and goals to pursue, but they'd be no major worries at all. Well maybe that your date won't like you. But it's not going to be like that and instead nothingness.
  23. No, I'll have fun watching movies from talented filmmakers who are passionate about making movies, regardless of what kind of budget they have and what kind of money it makes. If movies stop making as much money because of piracy (which is not the case, piracy doesn't affect movie sales at all) the only difference is we will see less big budget movies to safe franchises. I wouldn't pirate recently released movies, which are still in the movie theaters for a few weeks. I find that disrespectful. But after that, once its out on DVD and on TV, pirate away. $150M to make a movie? Either get your priorities straight or stop hiring over-used actors. Sheesh.
  24. What...? I'll rather the US bomb down government buildings than me with a shovel. Whatever gets the job done.
