I believe to make life you need a speical arragement of elements and chemicals, like how to make a pencil, how to make a computer, a forumla really, just that it isn't known yet. Some occations, when you die your "soul" (the chemicals to make life) does not die with the rest of your body. Because this "soul" still has your DNA, it can make a "copy" of your body. This might take time though, and eventully it is the form when the person just died. Then I dont know what ghosts do, so thats the end.
