Celestial surgebox
It's more that it's a glitch (likely), which means this problem shouldn't even exist. I know that it's a glich, but it's nothing major really. If you want one, you'll have to deal with it, and it doesn't look like dealing with it is anything major. Some time in the near future jagex will fix this, but until then, i don't see the reason to complain.

Celestial surgebox
I don't understand why binding the surgebox is such a big problem- it's dropped by one of the most common monsters in daemonheim, and all implications are that it's not even rare. Having to rebind one after 100 dg and 120 dg shouldn't at all be anything major. From what i've heard, it's much easier to replace a surgebox than a primal bind(prim plate or baxe, for example).

Celestial surgebox
As far as i've heard, the charges work like any other ammo bind- you can bind however many you want, but if it's above 125, you will have 125 at the start of any dungeon. 125 wind surges seems more than enough, though it's a pity you have to make fires/staff for fire surge.

Magic boosts work differently in daemonheim than they do in normal runescape- it's 1% per level.

Celestial surgebox
I don't see that being a big problem- they are dropped by celestial mages, from whom, even if it's a rare drop(~1/30), you are bound to get one per large dungeon. I see the surgebox being much better in daemonheim than anywhere else, and the question now becomes- which is best, sagit(p++), laws or the surgebox? Not an easy choice, really. Also, how much mage attack bonus would you need to not miss too much on forgotten warriors- the surgebox+hood are +13, with sagit body/prim chain it's -2, -17 with prim plate...

This is a quote from the runewiki page on the blastbox: So it activates on the fifth CAST, not HIT. So if you hit a 0 on the fifth cast, you don't get extra damage, at all. I'm going to assume that the CSB has the exact same effect, which is more useful, seeing as you can hit twice as much with surge spells as you can with blast spells. This means it would in fact be useful for killing Frost dragons, your Ice strykewyrms tasks, possibly Abbysal demon camping, Iron and Steel dragons, bursting? That is, if it's worth the 65k tokens? Well, if you want to be pedantic, yes, you are right, although i don't think many people got confused because of that. And while we are on the subject of pedantics, hitting a 0 with magic is infact a hit, as missing with magic means splashing, thus you will get 25% bonus when you hit a 0. As for being useful for frost dragons- it's rare to be able to hit one dragons for times thus there is almost no extra damage at all, and coupled with a -8/-13 attack bonus(which is crucial), not very useful. The same goes, in a smaller way, for abyssals and strykes, where the average hits to kill is somewhere very close to 5.

I think jagex thought they weren't useful enough and scrapped them....which is ironic.

Celestial surgebox
From runewiki, the special should work on every 5th hit on every different monster, so, because p2p max hits are so high, it will be very rare to activate for most monsters, but as none of the other shield slots add damage, it could be useful assuming you don't need the extra mage attack bonus.

Safe PvP is the only place where real tribriding takes place. good safe-pvp tribrids demolish mage/melee hybrids And no, soul split absolutely DEMOLISHES in hybriding. Even if moderns could beat leeches (which they usually don't), the fact that you're losing SS makes a huge difference. And it's only 8 ranged attack difference. ^ Disappointing surgebox stats. I have no doubt in your knowledge of safe pvp, but for that it seems pretty pointless to me, and I don't see the ammy bonus(which is slight, at best) being worth it. And umm, it's a 13 ranged attack difference, go look at the stats(since you are talking about amulet switching anyway). Seconded on the surgebox stats though, i thought it would atleast be above 10, losing 13 mage attack bonus is a huge difference(coupled with 3 prayer and alot of defense)...

your PvMness is showing through :P no good hybrid uses modern prayers... unless the following person is right: WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT thank god i didnt buy one then. Well yeah, i've always sort of considered safe PvP sort of childish and at the time real pking still existed, the only hybriding that was done was mage+melee. In any case, as leeches don't usually even grant you the full 10%, i can see normal prayers being quite potent for hybriding, and i don't see the AOZ being much better than anything else(it can only be good for range, depending on if the extra 13 range attack makes a difference or not).

Meh, even when you consider no str bonus, low att bonus, no def bonus, and -8 prayer? If it is better, it won't be by much. For hybriding with ranged, the only thing you care about is -15 defense and -8 ranged. Prayer bonus is pretty irrelevant. But I'd think that a 5% boost to defense and ranged attack is worth much more than that. And a good hybrid would obviously carry other amulets to switch to, such as arcstream/fury/strength/glory. Why not use rigour then? is switching prayers really that hard?(assuming you have rigour, augury and piety)

On the other hand, blastbox operates with charges(1 charge=1 spell) so it very well could be that no runes are saved, although it's unlikely.

When you safespot while tribrid, switching staff, necklace and shield shouldn't be a major worry.

yes(and yes, i know, i'm stupid, i have a blastbox) wow sigh. surgebox won't be that useful then... well it does save 3 inventory spaces and add some damage. Other than that, you are about right(it will be useful for frost dragons, atleast). Boss drops: [hide] Blink 95 48-60 Longswords Warped Gulega 95 48-60 Robe Tops Dreadnaut 95 48-60 Platebodies Hope Devourer 101 51-60 Leatherbodies World-gorger Shukarhazh 107 54-60 Spears Kal'Ger the Warmonger 113 57-60 2h Swords [/hide]

The what-drops what is already posted on runewiki. Only need to know what either stalker or demon drops...(which shouldn't take this long as you have to c1 rush all the new floors at the start anyway). Depends on what you are getting it for- it is likely to have 15 mage attack and a small boost to damage(like 2%) and be able to save 2 inventory spaces- on the other side, if you need defense, arcane is always better.

It boosts for every prayer you use that's for 1 combat style. What it works on: Steel Skin + Eagle Eye, Steel Skin + Ultimate Strength + Incredible Reflexes, etc. What it doesn't work on: Piety, Chivalry, etc. I haven't tried testing with curses yet. What is it 5% of? By logic going by the wording of vigour and zealot side by side, it should be 5% of 15 but.... And well, 20-20-20 still isn't better than piety, it could be useful as a cheap replacement for rigour, but even then the loss of prayer and attack is a biggie.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
From my calculations, by doing mage first and then range(to conserve ranged xp), you should need around 220 (4) super antifires. I wouldn't make more than 1k super antifires as it takes alot of time to use them(max 11-12 doses an hour).

Better stats is about the only added boon to it. Apprently the demon horn one has an epic prayer bonus +13 isn't as epic if you consider that the stoles are +10 and rarely used. Unless it has offensive stats that can be mentioned in the same sentence as fury, it's ****(not to mention, you HAVE to have bonecrusher when using it).

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Yep, you got it now. And well, since you get some nice herblore xp and don't pay anything, it doesn't even have a high cost of time(if any).

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Super antifires are never a must. But as anyone with 85 herblore will tell you, because they don't cost anything(basically free herblore xp), there is no reason not to use them. Void mage is terrible. You pray mage to protect you from magic attacks, not dragonbreath.

I thought it would reduce the cost of summon special attacks triggered by summoning helmets(like FSH(e)). Would make atleast some sense. Is the zealots amulet bonus+5% or does it increase the boost by 5%? If it's the first, it could be worth it at some places where you can sacrifice 13 range attack and 8 prayer bonus for 20% range bonus... People that claim to have bought some or all of the rewards: Pictures of the prayer necklace stats, please.

Just realized this might make rigour/augury amazingly overpowered. Correct me if i'm wrong but, by logic, ranged and defense are two separate skills, thus it should not work with those. Do the prayer necklaces have any stats?

To anyone that cares: DON'T hold your breath. You'll just suffocate. I bet the update is coming out friday as the soonest(as they'll discover minor things they need to tweak). I was wrong <_<
