Or dragon platebodies, dragonfire shields, spirit shields and... Yeah, lets be smart about this, not stupid(money doesn't grow on trees, particularly in f2p).

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Bad xp(you can't compare it to the xp you would get by cleaning full inv with mousekeys) and probable loss of cash(if you don't use the herbs yourself). By not cleaning you can decide to either sell grimy/clean, and the difference could be as high as 3k per herb(or more like it was during EXPW).

Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
Why would free trade imply no GE? Free trade would not change the way the GE works by too much(you'd just be able to put in any number you want instead of being capped by 5%) and would easily fix the current problems we have on the market.

Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
Are you kidding? How are things better than they were before trade restrictions were put in place? Has the number of bots diminished completely? My mindset at the moment is, we're used to this. Throw another massive change into the economy and watch things go haywire. It's not needed, just like the first, and 50th change wasn't needed. I'm not one that's "against change", rather, i don't want to see a change that'll solve nothing, but cause a lot of [cabbage] to go wrong Bots & rwt'ers were there before trade restrictions, and are still there after But watch the economy fall if the trade restrictions are removed The economy is already as bad as it can be. I can't see it getting any worse with reduced inflation and the removed value of junk. The major point for this update has to be the economic considerations.

Are you kidding? How are things better than they were before trade restrictions were put in place? Has the number of bots diminished completely? As for the question, if you have a decent pile of cash and some knowledge of the trade restrictions, it's still easy to transfer up to ~100m in 4 hours. The number of bots took a dive, but is making a strong return. Meanwhile, pking is in shambles. Most players feel like getting screwed over by merchants and junk traders. Yeah, I think removing the trade restrictions and actually doing something to alleviate the number of bots(which they haven't, they are actually encouraging them by having less harsh penaltys) would be a great idea(but not one without the other, mind). Also, to some of the points in the first post, not having coin(statuette) drops would greatly reduce inflation that has been getting out of hand recently. Instead of having ~4m coins in the game, you would have a whip, which is only worth around 60k(alch), and as items exchange hands instead of market price being converted into gp, this would greatly reduce inflation(which is a very good thing unless you want every partyhat to be at a solid ge-max in a year or two). The profit from pking would then become proportional to skill, and people would more likely risk expensive armor to get ahead, recreating the thrill of real pking(which very few have experienced nowadays).

Gloating? I just don't want false information thrown around as fact. I think it's pretty much accepted nowadays to have knowledge of efficiency and no need to correct a statement(unless you learn it yourself, you are never going to learn), furthermore as knowledge of this kind(grimy's spreadsheets) are so easy to look up for reference. Your statement was not just false because it was not to most efficient method, but also because considering f2p, it's MUCH harder to make money for a 200m skill- you have a 3rd of the ge slots and around 10% of the good items to be flipped, thus the moneymaking part would just be endless. Just for reference, smithing rune 2h's/platelegs is also the best p2p smithing method.

Look at it this way. You get free quest points. You get free xp. You get free rewards (useless, but meh). You get various stuff unlocked. You get songs unlocked. And the good thing is it's likely to be short so you get the reward real fast! Might be just me and the satisfaction you get for completing stuff. But 100%'ing stuff is ftw  That is, assuming that you care about any of those things. I don't like quests, particularly the ones that are just there to be annoying(read: most of them). Quest points don't help me in doing the things i like, neither does ''free'' xp(read: very costly xp), rewards(that aren't rewarding), ''stuff'' or even songs(i've never even played runescape with sound). The major point is, by releasing a load of these mid-low level updates as they have they are actually being very counter-productive- on the one hand, they release similar content for people that haven't taken the time to explore most of the game anyway, mostly going for small fixes. However, at the same time, they aren't really thinking about the future. Don't get me wrong, a ''right-now'' plan is, in theory, a very good plan to build a fanbase of emotional teenagers, but don't expect it to keep the mature, experienced gamers satisfied. Right now, there seems to be an assumption that because there is a game update, everyone should be allowed to enjoy it, however, thinking about the future, it will just drive off alot of the long time faithfuls.

Spend 200K Dung Tokens On What?
The crossbow is good for when you really, really need ranged accuracy, which is very rarely. It definitely isn't worth using at frost dragons as you'll be paying 100k an hour for basically nothing, and the only real uses of it are DK's(if you can afford the risk and don't cannon), arma(where it shines) and safe pvp(where, again, it shines). More often than not, a simple rune crossbow is better, however.

Rune bar: 16.4k Rune 2h: 46.8k Loss: 2400gp Adamant bar: 3k Adamant platebody: 9.7k Loss: 5300gp (assuming you do not alch the plates) exactly. This is why you need knowledge before posting.(rune is nearly the same speed but alot cheaper)

Getting a Hexhunter Bow
By logic and following this post, don't ever do anything extraordinary to get a HHB- the chances are relatively high that you might not even get one getting 120/200m dungeoneering, so just stop worrying about the drop.(also, about the HHB clan thing, i'm fairly sure you'd have better luck getting it when you are the only 99 slayer as opposed to 5 99 slayers craving for one, the only-99 teams would only work if not everyone had to have HHB)

cooking and fm are boring, range i think would be fun to get 200m in and it benefits hp as well. Well, it should be at least proportional to p2p since there aren't any fantastic methods for range in f2p, and there are relatively few 200m range players compared to cooking and firemaking. Smithing should be relatively fast smithing adamant platebodies in p2p - as fast as members, actually, and fairly good exp when compared to cooking and firemaking. Unless I'm missing a powerranging method available in f2p, it seems very odd that it's the most 200m'ed in f2p when much faster skills are available. Who the hell smiths adamant platebodys to 200m? K, i'll answer it myself, nobody(and the only reason adamant platebodys are a viable method of training smithing is that not everyone is going for 200m).

Question about pouches
To answer the whole question, yes, you can buy one, or infact, any number, but you will not be able to summon any familiars above your summoning level(and there isn't anything yet which would boost your summoning level).

Oh comon, quests have great rewards used by high level players, few of which are your definition of high level quests. Ancient magicks, ancient curses, spirit shields (requires quest to weild), magic secateurs, neumerous teleports (like ectophial), things that help for dailys like hand in sand and RFD chest, RFD gloves, MTK, Jade vine, Penguins & Polar bears. The list goes on. I don't think people are detesting that there isn't enough useful content, rather that it would be good to have more exclusive content for those that are more experienced in the game. Also, exclusive content really isn't about purposely rejecting a group of people from gaining access to specific content, rather making people work for different levels of goals(consider working for piety vs. turmoil, dragon slayer vs. WGS). Right not, most of the achievements in this game are for the average player with very few examples of really exclusive content for the tip of the pyramid(which any player can and will reach given enough time), meaning alot of top players will eventually quit due to a lack of interesting content. I've already quit atleast 5 times because of this(and came back when jagex actually released something interesting).

chatoic rapier, charging it
Well, it really depends on how well you can dungeoneer and/or make money. At 120 dungeoneering, the top xp is around 350k(aproximate) an hour and at maxed combat/combat related skills the max money is around 4,5m an hour if you don't account for merchanting(upwards of 10m an hour). More often than not, money is the better option.

Level 100 in one skill =/= level 99 in two skills. That's not how RS works. 100 dg trims 99 dg. Oh my, this is a terrible idea when you consider that hp levels above 99 trim your capes. Absolutely horrific. PLEASE, cape trimming is the MOST trivial stupid reason anyone can give against this idea or any other idea. Guess what? some people NEVER had a chance to own any untrimmed cape, so posting this as a reason is just stupid. No untrimmed cape is a major achievement, not even close when you consider how hard 120 HP would be(and don't be mistaken on this, HP alone is one of the if not the harderst skill in the game).

Bone Choice
92 prayer is absolutely useless if you want to be a better MH'er, leveling herblore will be MUCH more beneficial(well, actually, infinitely, as piety>SS+leeches).

Erm, how would the food market change? This is basically only relevant for 99 hp-ers, who already don't use any food(only use SS/brews with overloads) apart from pvp, where the food consumption would remain exactly the same. As for brews, judging by the fact that you'd use less of them, the price would actually drop or stay the same. It wouldn't negate it, of course. But, with brews healing/boosting 210, you could go up to 1410 lp. Even with brews capped (which would be weird imo, not good) at 170, you'd be at 1370 lp. I think that means you can just about survive two max hits which you couldn't now. Also, I don't agree rushing should be made harder by simply adding more lp. If you get the drop on someone and manage to put eight claws into their body at various places, then your opponent should just be (near) dead. We're humans, after all, we rely on gear and pots to save our asses. It wouldn't fit the style of the game at all, imo. Unicorns are used extensively in certain safe pvp activities (at least the kind The Ancient does). Firstly, brews would heal 190 lp with 120 HP, not 210, and there will be very few people who will get the full 190 lp healing. Judging by the fact that you need 8 times 99 hp to survive 2 max hits from corp, it seems pretty balanced to me(and would allow for even harder bosses to exist, which is pretty much impossible right now). And well, right now, if you look at low risk pking(one of the most popular ways of pking) there are always people standing around with melee prayer activated. Is that normal? If this update would make that unnecessary or significantly reduce the number of people 'cheap-shotting' people, would it really be a bad thing? As for the real life analogy, it's the worst i've ever heard(and has no logic within the game). As for safe pvp, it's already imbalanced enough that this wouldn't change about anything(in terms of not having a combat triangle etc).

Did i say there should be a boost in attack/str/def? i think not. The point is, even though boosting other combat stats could make the game really unbalanced, raising prayer, summoning or HP wouldn't have that effect, they would just improve the current gameplay with minimal drawbacks(95% of them are psychological, anyway, such as ''i have to get 120 hp to max out'' etc). As far as i can see, boosting hp would only make the game better in terms of: higher healing from brews and unicorn(and they are not usually used in pvp, thus would make room for stronger bosses) and make rushing much harder(which it absolutely should be). For pvp and 95% of MH(basically everything except corp), your maximum LP has very little to do with your combat ability, and at that, the effect is only defensive(thus it doesn't unbalance any of the combat classes). It's funny that alot of you guys mention things being unbalanced, not even thinking about it. Quyneax, care to explain how a 1200 LP max would negate corps KO potential? Right now, you have a max of 1150 LP(99+brew) and people are still dieing there, the extra 210 LP you can have(and very few would) means you can brew once more, but still not more than 2 doses at a time, so you'd be safing at around 1100 LP instead of 1000 LP. which is not a big improvement(and one that costs 8x the time).

troacctid, your post would be a good one if you had a good stake in the matter, but seeing as you are less than a third on your way to 99, i'd say you don't. Consider all the updates we have had since rs2- combat in rsc was really slow, but there were still loads of people who took it on themselves to max out combat. Then, when slayer came out, they had to max out combat for a second time, with summoning, a third time- and now if you want to get 120 dungeoneering you'll almost be maxed for 4 times- with not much choice in the matter, the xp just keeps piling up(and should be rewarded somehow). The hp skill is actually very insignificant in terms of PVP- the only things it matters is for reducing KO potential(which is ridiculously high as it is, and seeing how many rushers we have, must be lowered) and it wouldn't at all unbalance pvp as the healing of food wouldn't change(apart from brews, that are hard to effectively use in pvp). People have been craving for elite level updates since the game has been getting easier by the second, and i think adding more elite goals to thrive for is a great thing. I'm personally looking forward to getting 104m str/attack and perhaps getting 120 hp in the process.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Well, some people(like me) are a bit more paranoid and like to keep their hp very high, thus soul splitting. I haven't personally used EE/EEE spec there(as i don't have either) but it can work wonders, unless you are shooting for the max kill rate in which case claws are better. With overloads, you can replace the rocktail with a brew or two to have more emergency healing from that one spot.

Dungeoneering Shields Discussion
But the problem is, the maximum soaking you actually got was around 10%(of the whole damage), and apart from safe pvp(as you'd never take it to bh) it would barely soak any damage. Thus, for anything realistic, the shield has no damage soaking ability, and has worse stats than a shield much easier(and cheaper) to get. And if you factor in the 100k an hour cost, forget about it.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
If you can click fast enough to kite the dragons, piety is much better than the leeches. Otherwise, i'd suggest ranging before you get turmoil. kite? I would rather not range because I got a rapier specifically for frost dragons, and I would rather be getting melee xp since I already have 99 range. Kiting means hitting a monster and then running away from their melee distance, as you would do meleeing fight cave 360's. The problem is, without soul split, you can't heal enough so your trips will be much shorter if you bring food. One way to solve this could be to bring really high melee defense gear such as veracs helm and legs, torags body and DFS, and heal with EEE as much as you can, but that will certainly slow down the killing. It would be really helpful to get 95 prayer as soon as possible and then not worry about healing.

Gear setup comparison.
You missed the point. The picture is purely for example, he isn't really trying to show Pros vs elite. The point would be to compare full sets...like bandos vs dragon. No, i didn't miss the point at all, just that as an example, what he posted is awful, and as they say, a picture says a thousand words. And well, we already have ALOT of stat comparison 'thingys' on many fansites, i don't see the reason to waste jagex'es time and nerves on creating one because this guy is lazy.
-
Gear setup comparison.
Errm...how is that very helpful? I mean, firstly, your picture of comparing two very different setups is useless enough, but it's actually very easy to just change one or two items and see what significant stats are better for which setup(it's not like you'll need to know the full array of stats, is it?). Knowing jagex, implementing this would cause alot of unnecessary bug or item duplication/disappearance so it's not really needed. Oh, and this belongs to suggestions.
