The Bind System
And there is a huge difference between skills being hard and taking a long time? Most people understand those things the same way. In RSC, every 99 took more time than 120 dungeoneering does now, so it really doesn't take that long. And well, i bet you would take 3 items instead of one. Because it would make dungeoneering easier(you'd do it for efficiency sake, not variety sake). There are more useless items in normal runescape, why don't you care about those? Maxing all other skills takes a long time too.

DKs tribrid w/ Cannon
You really shouldn't need to use a crossbow. You'll be tons more efficient if you let cannon do it's work and you work on rex and supreme. a low pop world is always suggested for tribrid, starting at 600 and going up to 1200(at pro levels, 100+ kph). You'll need alot of cannonballs, always reload the cannon while prime/supreme is alive and have it empty while rex is alive. around 2.5k an hour is a good estimate. You won't be needing too many casts, around 600 an hour will be more than fine.

The Bind System
Oh, i might have missed the quote where jagex said getting 120 will be extremely easy and everyone will be getting it. In all seriousness, 120 dungeoneering isn't a routine goal. It's not supposed to be easy. Nobody is forcing anyone to get it, furthermore as it doesn't have any clear cut advantages. Dungeoneering is really one of the easiest skills to get 104m(on par with cooking, just look at the hiscores), and the fact that the levels go up to 120 doesn't mean it should be any easier. Sure, it will take more time compared to a normal 99, but again, it's not a road everyone can or should be taking, thus the fact that it takes alot of time(and i'm not sure it takes more than 99 rc would) makes sense- afterall, it's an endgame skill. Also, i'm one person who you can not give this ''x skill is hard'' ****. I played rsc. 'Nuff said.

Spear or 2h for dungeoneering?
Or you could, y'know, switch the ring back and forth? Spear really isn't that good after ring classes(still good in f2p, though).

DKs tribrid w/ Cannon
It is a thing mentioned in zarfots slayer guide. There is no absolute proof of it and nor do i think there can ever be, but it does seem to hold true for alot of instances(explains why cls is better than rapier for crawlers, cannon effectiveness doesn't increase between ranging and meleeing frosties etc). Also, cannon is very accurate on both prime and supreme. Very inaccurate on rex, though.

The Bind System
And you are sure they could implement it in that way? I'd also like to hear more realistic suggestions on how dungeoneering wouldn't get easier while giving us more variety, because, really, i haven't seen many, if any at all. The major problem that i see with variety is that even though people like variety, they like efficiency more, and thus variety gets trampled under it. The current system allows for plenty of variety, but because people prefer efficiency, they won't ever consider using anything inferior for the sake of it, or get flamed(by teammembers) for doing so. I also don't agree with the notion that every t11 item should be equally spectacular- not even in normal runescape is every boss drop worth picking up, they are just a bonus for finishing dungeons, something that does get very routine when you nolife dungeoneering all day, but a welcome sight if you don't. All of the t11 items require 99s in their respectful skills, so the majority of players wouldn't be able to wield most of them anyway(if they were to stay, say 3 dungeons beyond). You don't think 25 minutes is fast enough? That's what i'm getting at. If anything, tweak the system to make it harder.

DKs tribrid w/ Cannon
There shouldn't be too many occasions of when you are not killing either rex or supreme so the range armor/gear will be near useless. Cannon does TONS more damage than your range weapon anyway. Also, not, it's not range gear which increases your accuracy, it's equipment attack bonus(of your highest class), so by that logic, bring a chaotic maul(and the problem with that logic is that it increases accuracy, but the increase isn't noticeable).
-
DKs tribrid w/ Cannon
With cannon you won't need either range armor or weapon as cannon kills prime in the same time you are busy with the other two. On task, 85-95 kph is easily possible.
-
DKs tribrid w/ Cannon
Don't bring any rage gear/range weapons. Don't bring anything you don't want to risk- if you haven't done it before, there is a huge likelyhood you are going to die. Cannon tribrid is one of the most dangerous MH techniques, up there with solo corp(mostly because you'll have two DK's after you most of the time, if not 3).

The Bind System
The reason why i don't like all these(and yes, all these, we have had alot of discussion about this beforehand and will more than likely have in the future) topics about the binding system is that the system is already fine as it is. Seems a bit hypocritical to tell jagex not to fix what isn't broken(like they've tried oh so many times) and keep suggesting these silly ideas. I understand that there are some people who feel as though the binding system isn't flexible enough or that there aren't too many worthwhile binds, but what most suggestions boil down to(when i say most i rather mean all) is that people want dungeoneering to be easier. Has anyone suggested being able to swap a normal bind for an ammo bind? Oh, NO WAY, you say, but really, as dungeoneering certainly doesn't need to be made easier, why not make suggestions that wouldn't accomplish that , instead accomplishing what you claim to be after, variety. Until you guys start to make sense, this thread isn't really going anywhere. As for emergent gameplay, yes, i am all for it, but i'm still a firm believer of having to make choices. If grimy feels as though binding laws would save him more time then good- chuck that bow down the toilet and bind some laws for faster c1's. If he feels as though having the bow allows him to be a better teammate then good for him- but having to make this choice is what actually adds variety. If he were to be able to bind both, there would be no variety. Also an idea for grimy- you can swap sagit arrows for prom arrows- that way you'll be able to bind laws for c1's and remake prom arrows for larges with not much time lost. How about that for variety.

The Bind System
Grimy, it's your choice not to have varied binds, not jagex-es. If you were to change weapons every reset or something like that, the world would be alot more varied, granted what you actually care about is efficiency, not variety(you'd never bind a primal dagger just for the sake of it). The fact that one set of binds is better than another is just inevitable, having two ammo binds doesn't make it more varied.

What happened to this community?
Its a game. If you disrespect me in a game, call me a bot, call me all kinds of names because I didn't do EXACTLY what you wanted, then I am going to F with you. Let there be no doubt, that I can be the biggest ass in runescape. Its a matter of personal pride of course. Nothing you elistists can't understand... Wait, isn't this topic about nice people, not non-elitist people? I challenge anyone to say that this person right here is a nice guy and a wealthy sight to the community. Anyone?

The Bind System
I don't see why this topic is yet AGAIN up in the air. The current system is more than fine as it is and imposes atleast some challenges. More binds= easier dungeons- no thanks, the skill is easy enough as it is. Keep it simple. Grimy, i don't understand your obsession with having many ammo binds- everyone in this world has to make choices- if you bound HHB, good for you, but you can't have everything, and you are not supposed to have everything. I also don't think jagex ever intended for laws to be used the way they are in c1's.

Too much damage
I think the video only proves how bad rushing is and how we need higher starting LP. As for the lack of defense, no armor would ever 'fix' korasi sword spec as it's designed to be 100% accurate. We already have a really great overpowered defensive item(divine), if we had similar items for 80 or 90 defense that were usable for real pvp(not the joke you are showing us), pking wouldn't be significantly better(it's already as bad as it's ever been, anyway).

What happened to this community?
We are there already. Blame dungeoneeering for this. Its really brought the worst part of WOW to rs. (the freakin balogna community) Just read the "pro" thread and join their l2dung clan. Sadly, its not just rushers who are assclowns. I joined a non-rush group this weekend and was scolded for wasting the prom ore to make a plate over a chain. It was truely laughable because their were a ton of untouched rocks. Needless to say I alched every damn ore & chain they threw on the home floor before they could boot me. The only good news is that the elistists are trying to break off. Maybe they can start up their own clown site. This is THE guy you anti-efficiency guys should follow. He is a perfect example of the nice-guy community we are all after. If you are nice to everyone else, everyone will be nice to you.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
Primal legs in addition to primal plate? I'm VERY doubtful of that figure, further considering legs have the same strengths as plate(and you barely get hit by melee or range with plate). Also, good luck maging with prim plate+legs. Also, before you can get your hands on great offensive binds(like HHB, blood neck) you could bind cele staff to be more effective maging, that is, assuming, you are fine with the damage you are taking(and it takes skill to not use much food no-arming, alot of soul splitting).

Dungeoneering: Bindery
Well i can't imagine HHB being worth it without good arrows, otherwise it'd just be an average bow. Also, the only other ammo bind really worth it would be surgebox, and switching between 3 classes just isn't as efficient(and you can only use ring for two of those classes). Also, as you are saying you couldn't imagine a better setup, considering that you'd get a 4th bind for a quest and 5th for 120(assuming you get there), what would you bind? Defensive binds are mostly selfish and don't help the team out alot, where as offensive binds are geared toward being more useful for your team. Most people who have the same same setup as you(i think it's the most common setup at 100-113 right now) have already loaded their bind list with defensive binds(2/3) so from there on, binding primal legs/skirt would just be ridiculous.

boss creatures
TD's are a major pain for level ~100 to learn and perfect. The killrate will also be so low that you'd need to kill alot to be able to profit, where as greens are alot more constant profit. Also, TURM and supers? :ohnoes:
-
boss creatures
Most of the good(worthwhile) bosses in runescape assume maxed combat stats, with 90+ bare minimum for effective killing. I'd suggest getting atleast 80 in combat stats and 70 prayer/68 summoning before even thinking about boss hunting.

It's been so long...=D
It'd be extremely difficult to remember someone with less than 100 post count and yeah, there is a separate topic for introductions(although i don't know why anyone would want to introduce themselves on a runescape related forum).

Effigy drops while maxed out?
40 hours of slaying should be around 1.2m slayer xp, so if you haven't got an effigy in that time, you've been extremely unlucky. My longest streak was around 800k slayer xp, with the average droprate around 100k slayer xp per effigy(depending on task list).
-
Rapier vs. Long Sword.
Longsword if you have divine and only do bandos and TD's, rapier otherwise.
-
Which will be more useful?
I really don't understand why everyone would say claws. If you are going for maximum offense, BCP or tassets will allow you to do more extra damage over an hour than claws(without spec restores) not to mention the extra defense and small prayer bonus from bandos. If you have torso, use that along with tassets, if not, use BCP+verac's- spec weapon really isn't that important until you have cash to spare(neither is bandos, for that matter. Extremes/turm is always better than that).
-
Dungeoneering: Bindery
Well, i was looking for a setup that would have good extra bonuses for slash, magic and strength, it's also possible to replace the bracelet with prim gloves or use prim chain/skirt for good defense and magic attack.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
Having two ammo binds means you can keep a hexhunter AND mage those warriors easily. That's what I was pointing out. Still though, with all the melee weapon binding possibilities, there are lots of variations in the dg metagame. That would be true if either mage or range were the most dominant combat class, which i don't think they are, thus a good balance of melee/mage hybrids(with CSB) and melee/range hybrids(with HHB) is likely the most effective strategy. As for bindery, i think, as time goes along and we get more binds(possibly 5 binds at 120 dg), people will realise the importance of offensive binds and shy away from defensive binds- the best melee/mage hybrid would have SSH, rapier, blood neck, golden prec brace, prim boots and CSB while the best melee/range hybrid would have SSH, HHB, Prim 2h, sagit body, blood neck and sagit arrows(p++). Keyer binds would still stay more defense oriented.
