Maybe dogs are gettin an update? The introduction of metal dogs, each one dropping a stat enhancing garment - the sock. The type of sock is respective to the metal of the dog.

65. Just get a slayer assignment and do them. um, yeah thats what you do anyways, but you dont really need guthans/cannon or any other fancy equipment. Just pray you get lucky with assignments (trolls )

Would staking count? I'm sure you could make a decent staker in under 4 months. However, winning enough is a different story. I guess it's all down to luck.

1) I might go into staking, so I need to keep my level as low as possible. 2) I am getting an untrimmed 99 hits and intend to keep the cape untrimmed. You're gonna get 99 att, str or def eventually. Even if it takes a loong time.

I use both xp and vista (and ubuntu), and can say that other than appearances, theyre pretty much identical. Of course, you have the little things, such as the sidebar (pointless?), the win key + tab, "improved security (its more a pain in the [wagon]), and so on. So, in my opinion, if you want it, go for it. if not, xp is fine.

why not just get flat 97's? or even 99's?

I struggled a bit with the killing of the trolls, purely because I forgot to bring another set of decent armour with me, so I was stuck with the yak thing. Also, the troll king is a piece of cake. Just make sure you use protect from range, and eat whenever his barrages hit you.
