  1. Thanks Jake, really bothering me that I have to add another rank since Mauranius is no longer included but... make that +2 animorph, tezaki also doesnt wish to be in the list. He can't even get on the list. Get your +1's elsewhere. What? Are you saying Tezaki1 isn't F2P?
  2. A bit random: Does anyone remember who the lowest person to make it on this list was in terms of combat? I think it was Artemk2005. He's 93 combat as it stands, but I have a vague memory of him making it on there as a lvl 91. I could be wrong though. Just curious. :)
  3. My main goal right now is 99 mining. I'm making steel bars and gaining runecrafting levels in between to ease the boredom. ;) If I gain 4m mining xp like I did last year, then in theory I should have 99 mining by the end of next spring. It's a very slow method (I've been doing this already for over a year) since I mined both my iron and my coal and am still banking the latter, but thanks to the permanently stabilized increase of steel bars by over 400 gp than what they used to be, the profit is very promising. I think I'll have about 100m net worth by the time I'm 99 mining. In the near future, that'll probably be used for smithing, crafting and runecrafting. In the very long-term future, I'll blow it all out (assuming I have more money by then) on prayer. :P
  4. Well, in the last Q&A session, Jagex left the possbility of more F2P achievement diaries open: Elecmage14: can we expected any other achievement diaries that will be f2p apart lumby one? Answer: At the current time I don't know. General Question: Will the Lumbridge Hard section be F2P? Non-committal answer: At the current time, I don't know. As I say, we're still at very early design phase. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?16,17,978,59920654 So who knows? ;)
  5. Exactly, and they only banned the ones that are used to glitch, like the turkey emote and skillcape emotes. I hate to ask, but could you enlighten us non-GOP players as to how you could abuse the game by using those emotes? I guess since it's been patched, the old information isn't classified. :P
  6. I wholeheartedly support this. :) Going to post on the RSOF thread now.
  7. Very cool. :) I planned to just FoG earth gloves and make earths to 99 rc...we'll see if I lose my mind before then. :P I can't afford to drain any of it in tiaras since I'm just hell-bent on raising prayer as much as possible one day. I might have to resort to GOP eventually. I have the same plans as you for ranged and fishing. I was considering Giant Spiders for melee as well, but I want as much pray xp as possible so I'm going to try Ice Giants instead and see if that works out.
  8. Sonic: Nice list! If I had to make a list, it would virtually be the same as yours, except I'd switch #3 and #4. I don't play GOP for Runecrafting, so that might be why my take on it is different. :P Cpchris: MMG was considering making skill capes F2P, but then he decided against it. But your remark on GOP is really interesting - how exactly did it make you all of that cash? I always saw it as a great assister for raising Runecrafting but never something that lucrative. I totally agree with you on Smithing. Someone pointed out to me not that long ago that it's strange how smithing was probably the most highly valued skill in RSC, but as we progress in to RS2, we see it slowly become one of the less useful ones. I definitely think there should be some added utility to that skill. Which brings up another question :D: how do you guys intend to raise that? I'm 80 right now, and was planning on superheating addy to 85 and then rune to 99 (which would get me 99 magic in the process). Is that a plausible idea? I realize there would be a ton of banking involved, since I was going to stand at a booth and do it (as opposed to having some runite with you, mine coal in the guild, and superheat it). Some people tell me to do iron plates, but that's a real money sink. Then there's addy plates (after 88), which I'm not sure about. I think the loss is minimal, but hey: loss is loss. That's why I was considering superheating rune, where you make quite a bit of money!
  9. So how is everyone else planning to raise prayer? I'm basically just saving it for last and conserving all of my money up until that point, probably merchanting along the way to make cash on the side, and hope I can afford at least 92 or so (unless by some miracle I can buy it all) if and when I get 99 in everything else. I guess I'd manually train whatever prayer levels remain until something drastic happens IRL and I quit. :)
  10. It's not my place to talk either but I agree with Purbida...even if they NEVER updated F2P, it's still a free game that anyone can play. I'm honestly appalled that some people are still pushing for such constant F2P updates. Why can't we just be content with the minor things that we already get given our free status, like some extra bank spaces and even the holiday stuff, insipid as it is? And let's not forget the new skill...I really don't see any room for complaints in light of this imminent skill. It's just ungrateful. I realize the last skill we got was Runecrafting nearly 6 years ago, but we don't pay them expressly - why should we get such major content anyway? From the moment I started being pure F2P, I wanted it to be a lesson in contentment; so far that's how it's worked out. I looked at my surroundings, tested my limits, and said to myself, "This is what I can do, and it's the RS playing style I've chosen," so I was fine with everything already there, and if they added new content - ANY content whatsoever on top of that - I took it gratefully. I practically jumped for joy when the Rest feature came out for F2P; I couldn't believe that they'd give something like that to both members and non-members. I'm no paragon of virtue, but maybe if we adopted an attitude of contentment and gratefulness, we wouldn't quibble over such minor and ultimately useless things, and play it for the game that it is. As far as I'm concerned, we should be thankful for even having MMG and not Iddison, who wouldn't lift a finger for F2P to save his life. Some CEOs only capitalize on the moneymaking side of their product, and not the aspects that laypeople can enjoy, but MMG at least acknowledges F2P as a separate game (that by association deserves its own attention) and not a demo. At least under this guy's reign, we're getting a new skill, and as I said we also got extended bank space not too long ago, perhaps a new achievement diary soon to boot...I mean really, what more do you want? New monsters? Bosses? Maybe MMG will add those - and if he did, that would be generous of him IMO - but if he doesn't, the reasoning would be pretty apparent and, to me, is justifiable. I'm not a suck-up to anyone either (I don't even know the guy, what incentive would I have to do so?) - I just hate to see someone get bashed because they don't implement every single update suggested by their userbase, or even the most perceptibly salient ones. They probably have their reasons and the least we can do as players of their game is assume a little good faith. Just my two cents.
  11. That is what he did. Grats to him. :)
  12. :wall: That's embarrassing. You're completely right about everything else as well. I used Runescript, an IRC bot that, when calculating F2P experience, doesn't round either way (though it does stop at two decimal places, like your spreadsheet) and shows you exactly how much f2p xp they have in relation to their total xp. In all cases except Lynxs0, every single one of their experience points was in nonmember stats.
  13. I just checked all of these names and, with the exception of Lynxs0 (who has p2p xp) and Cassandra467 (whose status is indeterminate due to her unranked attack level), all of those names have 100% f2p xp. :) But Cassandra's case is an odd one. When you add up her ranked levels, you get 1,263. Subtract that from her total level (1,332) and you get 69. If she were totally F2P, then according to these calculations, her attack should logically be 69. But this is not the case; one only needs 60 attack to be ranked on the highscores, and she's 9 levels above that. That doesn't add up. She's either been a member before or is one of those really old players whose stats have "messed up" over time, like Galaxyg's. Bommatjuh, would you happen to know her combat level?
  14. It was mentioned as a possibility when the Dev Blog for Elite Tasks was released. Here's the source: http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?16,17,978,59920654 And the relevant exchanges: Elecmage14: can we expected any other achievement diaries that will be f2p apart lumby one? 15. [/hide] Here is a more recent pic from when he was around 180M xp in the French F2p world. Of course this doesn't prove or disprove much, but it does show him powermining iron. Which -can- hit up to 40k/hr if you're really focused on it and have no other miners/distractions to worry about. I can't say I really power mine much either, but even at a fairly standard pace of 35k/hr for 3mil xp in a week works out to 85-86 hours or just over 12 hours a day. I myself could never powermine that much every day, however I have managed 455k in one day of powermining, before realizing it wasn't for me, and I know a few players who have done 500k in a day. I'm not saying he was or was not/has not been a member before, just saying it's possible. Maybe he just really loves mining  Ahh, that makes total sense. Thanks for clearing that up. And yeah, I can definitely see him never having gone p2p. Now I'm just curious why he got banned and then unbanned.
  16. Sorry to drag this up from the last page, but... Mazila and Ilmll autoed most (or all) of their mining exp. Some other top auto-miners are Crazay, Crayzay, and Lejane. I think Ikanov falls under this category as well? I'm also really curious about Serialheated's status. His xp gains were, at times, incredibly high for a non-member; I recall him gaining 3m xp in a week when he probably had at least 185m mining xp (so not very long ago). I don't powermine iron so I don't know the rates very well; therefore, he might very well have spent inordinate amounts of time doing that. But I was under the impression that he mined at the guild and banked his coal: Granted, the pic is old. But I know you can't get 3m mining xp in a week by mining coal in the guild with a rune pickaxe, regardless of how fast you do it or whether you powermine or bank it. I've been mining down here off-and-on since the summer of 2008, so I speak from experience. I once timed myself to see how much xp I could gain in one hour by mining coal at the guild and then banking it. It came out to be just over 16,000 xp. Let's be generous, though, and give him a couple of extra inventories, bumping him up to 20k an hour. At that rate, to amass 3m mining xp in one week, he would have had to have played just over 21 hours every day for an entire week while remaining *entirely focused* on mining and *not* multitasking during each one of those hours. That's enough to make any person go absolutely insane - I got bored out of my mind trying to "focus-mine" after just 2 or 3 hours. Someone proposed to me that he's just more dedicated I am, but that's a little too dedicated for my personal comfort. However, he could have been dropping the coal, which might have saved some time (but why even do that for powermining? Why not just powermine iron?). But still, I'd reckon at least 18 hours every day for a week to get that much xp even with that method. But if he powermined iron, that could be a different story entirely. The only reason I'm even dubious about the legitimacy of his 200m xp is because, as some of you might recall, Serialheated's name was taken off of the hiscores sometime in June or July of this year. However, it was reinstated on the hiscores a few months later, and nobody I've asked seems to know why. I was confident that he had been banned for macroing and that if Jagex had indeed caught a macroer and had no doubt that he was one, there was no reason for them to reinstate his account when they had full knowledge of his botting, given the very tough precedent they've set on rule 7. Then as soon as he got his account back, the abnormally high xp rates continued once more. I don't think something is right here.
  17. I totally agree. I like runecrafting as well because it sort of keeps you engaged in the game, what with all the clicking and all, and with earth gloves you get twice as much xp, meaning you finish your goal twice as fast. Not to mention I love Fist of Guthix. :) I have no problems with f2p skills other than Prayer. From my current level to 99, it'll cost me over 400m in big bones if I try to buy it. I doubt I'm ever going to mine enough runite or merch for a long enough period of time to cover such a hefty expense. Since I'm saving melee as my last set of 99s, I'm probably just going to train it manually by killing Ice Giants...if I hit 99, then great; if I don't, then I don't. Buying it just doesn't seem feasible to me. I know a really slow, but free method to train Prayer to 99. Go to the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness, the one with all the bone respawns. Pick up those bones, and bury. That's how I hit 45 Prayer. 99 Prayer will take too much for me though. Oh dear that's slow. :( I remember back when the Bone Yard existed, I used to bury the bones there. There were also a couple of big bones in the area. But as far as your suggestion is concerned: wouldn't you run the risk of getting attacked by revs? Technically, killing Ice Giants is also a free method. ;) I trained there for 2 hours, and no revenants appeared. ;) And I just kill Moss Giants for big bones, but that is slower. You wouldn't happen to remember how much xp you got there, would you? I was also considering killing mossies (Varrock sewers) once I got to a high enough level so that I could guarantee getting the drops (after doing the most damage).
  18. Add me to the F2P one please: username is I Am A Bahai.
