  1. Banned because I was replying to a comment that suggests that apparently RS is the only thing to play on PC.
  2. Momentum was never really in a competitive position against abilities in the first place, barrage was the only thing that Momentum was actually useful to any degree. With regards to abilities, DW and staff differ in 1 ability: Concentrated Blast and Sonic Wave. General consensus is that Concentrated blast is much better than Sonic wave, since you can time your wrack at the same time as the second concentrated blast hit. If it does make a difference, equip Bloodfire Barrage in the MH and Ice barrage in the OH.
  3. Up to 177k Steel, 218 plates and 160+ of each Chi and Lacquer, posting screenshot later on tonight
  4. 1. There are no Duo stories, Duo special voyages are completely independent of the storyline progress of each of the Duo, except for meeting them first. Trio stories will not show up unless you have completed each of the single story lines for each member of the Trio, as well as when any two of the trio show up in your port. For example, if you want to do Missionary/Biologist/Convict Trio, you must have all of Missionary's, Biologist's and Convicts stories done, and have any two of the 3 show up at port at the same time. Trio stories work in much the same way as Duo in that sending out on Trio story will remove all special voyages (since the they are no longer in port) and doing any of the single special voyages will also remove the trio storyline for the day. 2. The suggestion was that don't bother with worrying about charms, keep sending ships on steel missions and chimes will trickle in. If you insist on going toward a lower region, I would use Scythe (Cherrywood region, to gather the resources for the totems). Most people don't bother because you will eventually find there is no where to spend the chimes.
  5. Banned for Owning a DS at all ~Tim "Haven't had any consoles, TV or handheld since SNES..." ChenW2
  6. The obsidian armor needs Brink of Extinction to both make and wear, but it is one of the best armor against tzhaar creatures. You can easily get by with just maging the entire caves though, and I'd argue it is better than tribriding because there is no cooldown between weapon switches, coupled with that most of the stuff in there are magic weak.
  7. Now we have the bacon, where is the Marmite?
  8. From what I have concluded, Ability damage is limited by your Wand/book's tier, but your autoattack is not. So it depends on whether or not you use momentum. If you do, then Seismic is probably not worth it.
  9. My benchmark is 60%, I send it if it reaches that minimum. (And yes, new regions will eventually go that low, but it will pick up again towards the middle of the zone)
  10. Actually that's probably the simplest way they can do with it, except it also gave unintended consequences due to the fact that You can over tier damage with respect to gear, which you can't do with ranged or Melee. But I feel a little iffy, It doesn't explain why I have been killing Barrow brothers as fast on Ah Book/wand as ABS though...
  11. Which, leads to me to conclude about how the game actually deals damage... Auto attacks takes the damage of the weapon/spell directly, meaning that T90 magic auto attacks will do what it says on the Tin. Abilities however deal by the Tier of the weapon, and not the normalised weapon we assumed before (however this part leads to more perculiarities than answers, because it means there should not be any difference between weapons of the same tier, yet it does, or rather, it did)...
  12. I'd be more interested in seeing the difference during a Prayer renewal dose though, using more accurate setup, I reckon the increase in length of prayers will probably increase more dramatically.
  13. Banning for giving me a 'Dafuq?' face. ~Tim "Seriously, dafuq..?" ChenW2
  14. Because most helmets in RS (at least most of the ones I use) have been nothing short of looking hideous, so I my base customisation have Hide helm defaulted on. It's not certain head piece, but rather most head pieces
  15. That would be another reason for me to keep my hide helmet option on. I don't think I have seen great-a-many helms that I am actually not embarrassed to wear...
  16. It's probably a multiplicative increase rather than an actual addition increase, so if the chance of rolling a voyage is 9%, 4 jade totems would end up as 9.9%, and add statistics to that. Nearly hit 180k Steel, i'll work on getting the resources for remaking 8 totems after I get 200k Steel or so.
  17. Lying Character sheet. I already tested it personally. For T70 wand at least, equipping Air Surge has the exact same wrack damage as Fire surge, despite description saying they should have approximately 8-9% difference. I has assumed before that T90 Spells were completely independent of weapon, I tested it and proved myself wrong.
  18. No it won't, the damage of spells is capped based on the tier of the weapon. Basically, for magic, go by the tier of the weapon, not the spell you have equipped.
  19. Banned for reminding me my most hated version of a typo of my name
  20. Generally you always want to list the items needed, as well as your own personal recommendations that isn't on the Quest guide (for example, a bath in the Oo'glod due to the amount of running you'll be doing), skills required, NPC's involved, and steps required to do the quest. The steps can be split into two versions, the first can go like: "Make A by using this on B, then go talk to C, ask him about the Skill D and he will send you to E to find F" Which basically tells you exactly the happenings of your every step. Or it could go like "Use A on B, talk to C, go to E and click on F" Nothing but exactly what you need to do with the mouse cursor. Least amount of spoilers for the guide reader, and the least amount you have to read for those who don't care about the lore. Generally a guide goes one or the other, but sometimes both, though it is recommended that you split both versions
