Niles, Miles, and Giles ask the question "What is this" The coloured box wouldn't work because some players are colour-blind. The n-sided shape question sounds mysteriously like a mysterious man random. And that's the thing... this is just another random to take up space among randoms that don't really do their job and serve to annoy honest players. One of the posts above me does a great job of explaining the technical faults, too. Even if someone had to type in the answers, an OCR could easily bypass the random and continue to macro.

If demon skin gave a melee bonus instead of a mage bonus, it would throw the entire combat triangle into entropy. Meleer's would have a harder time taking down rangers. At the same time, it would still give a range bonus, thus giving rangers the advantage of wearing melee armour without the ranged penalties. The Range skill is fine.

This I realise. I'm simply giving my opinion of said suggestion.

It sounds iffy. I personally don't like the idea, as Jagex could certainly find a better skill for their next big release. Creating hybrids of herbs would be utterly pointless unless Jagex scrambles to create new potions. The extra money from high alchemy would throw the economy into complete chaos. And the sharpening of axes and pickaxes? Well, I'll give an example: If I can sharpen a bronze axe and make it cut as efficiently as a rune axe, what would be the point of even having a rune axe in the game to begin with? And who's to say that we need an entirely new skill to teach new players how to play the game? That would be almost pointless. All Jagex would have to do is update Tutorial Island. And there are now skill masters scattered throughout the world to help the newbies. (Yes, newbies... not noobs.) I think "Science" would fall flat on its face. That's simply my opinion, but I stand upon it adamantly.

How close? A meager six quests (until Jagex releases a new one.) These include: Desert Treasure, Devious Minds, Fairy Tale pt. II, Mourning's End Pt. I, Mourning's End pt. II, and Recipe for Disaster. So this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to raise skills in order to complete these quests. This is not going to be an easy thing to do, especially since Mourning's End pt. I requires level 60 ranging. I'm level 48. Wrong. The KQ is a beetle. Mining in Runescape requires a pickaxe.

You'd be surprised at what people will do. I've seen plenty of autoers on a member's server. The other day I was in world 71, passing through Varrock. There was a whole army of those bald headed, tan shirted, green pantsed autoers walking from the bank to the rune shop, teleporting, mining, and coming back. It was actually a very chilling sight... very eerie. Like March of the Machines.

Here's another one from just the other day. Safe to say the guy isn't wearing a p-hat. And he's only wearing half of a polar outfit. He's got a white beret and a tribal shirt on.
