Is it better to solo than use the official world? If so, why? About how lond does smelting 1000 steel bars take as compared to the ghost port? What did you sell to make money with steel? I'm also not familiar with mith ore/item prices.

Chaeldar is definately better than vannaka for you because I use chaeldar and the only tasks i burthorpe are metal dragons and hellhounds, and those friggen desert lizards. Don't forget that baby blues count as blue dragons.

wood cuting all the way.. onces you get 30 wood cut, cut willows you will need to chop 3.8k of them to get 60 so that's 120k if you sell for 30ea..but you might want to cut some more willows because cuting yews at 60 is hard..you will never get a yew trust me..so you should get around 65 wc before you start cuting yews. you will need to cut 2k more. that's another 60k.. add that up to 120k 120k+60k=180k! hop that helps you and sorry if my math is a little off Just under 5k willows for 180k, or 2k iron for 200k... Decisions, decisions...

I've been neglecting my smithing/mining since I became a member, and I feel like starting upo again for some reason. I have a few questions about the blast furnace. Is it possible to break even by buying coal at 200ea, mining my own iron, and selling steel 2handers for 600ea to the warrior's guild shop? If so, about how long does it take to smelt a load of bars compared to the time it takes at port phasmatys? It looked like all the positions were filled and had people waiting to jump in on the official world. The tip.it guide said something about iron bars being made instead of steel. Does this happen a lot? I can see that getting extremely annoying... Is the only time that there's a danger of losing your iron/coal while they are on the belt? Or should I wait to log out until the bars are fully made? I didn't notice much coal or iron in the shop, so does anyone actually use the sell notes-buy ore method? Any help would be appreciated, and I mght even give you a cookie!

I use trout/salmon becaus eI have thousands of them in the bank. Just bring a dds so that if you need to kill some guy who just killed some guy for no reason you can spec him and then use protect item when somebody kills you because you have a skull.

I use the ring near the ectopool to get back to zanaris all the time and I've never brought the leeches or vampyres that swarm me along...

the MOST that 2 coal+1 iron will cost you is 500ea. The average selling price for steel is 600ea.

I ran all the way to some rock, and the scarab cornered me. When it summoned the mage/archer, one appeared on the other side of the rock, and the other got stuck on top of me. So I was free to demolish the scarab with melee protect. I don't remember where the rock was, though :-k

I always kill the babies near the lava eels, this way is much faster slayer and prayer experience, there's no need to bring an a-fire shield, and they are all in a pretty close space. The don't drop anything other than the baby bones, though...

You need to do ghosts ahoy and wear the amulet so you can ecto tele there, get in for free, and skip the mssage the pops up every tie you open your bank. I didn't even know nitiznot had a bank, I'll check that out...

You only get tree seeds from MTK maples, herb seeds from the flax/herbs. The only place to get allotment seeds is the farming section which is a rubbish return for your money.

He's F2P so he can't make knives. Also, I suggested a higher leveled item because of the increased high alch value, the bars used and experience gained will be the same, but you'll make a larger profit. Note that the superheating method isn't very fast, but it does give you experience in three skills which you are constantly switching between to decrease burnout and generates a decent profit.

Exactly, but you'll probably get sick of mining your own stuff. I suggest that you mine your own iron(with 50+ mining) and buy the coal at 180-200ea. This way, you will lose a LOT of money, but mining coal gets so tedious after a while... At whatever level that it takes(65-67) to make mith kites, I suggest that you mine coal+mith in the guild, superheat mith bars, walk to the anvil and make kites, high alch them while walking back, rinse and repeat until you use up your nats. This way you will make a slight profit if you buy the nats at 300ea, and you can make a decent profit when you move up to legs/skirts at the appropriate level.

They're is a pretty good duide in the Tip.It "guilds" section. You should kill black armour, mine never broke while I got my shiny rune defender, and you'll get tokens much faster than with mith(only 5 more per kill). NEVER use steel armour, the legs break every 3-4 kills.

Wow, I didn't know that. Wouldn't there be hundreds in one spot when you left? I can imagine how that might be bad for people doing the quest...

Harpie bugs(require 35ish slayer) drop aover 1000 fires per 100+ assignment, a good number of chaos, and a bad number of deaths(0-10). Basilisks, which are 42 slayer(I think) drop a lot of waters and herbs. They have pretty high hp and average defence, but they will almost never hit you. The bird lizard things that drop limps are more dangerous. Desert lizards, probably 15 or so slayer req, also drop a lot of fires, but they're in the desert. Cave bugs or crawlers(I forget), drop a lot of earths and herbs. I can't think of anything else at the moment...

Wow... I just did my first barrows run after I finished the Awowogwei parf of RFD, which was extremely annoying because I burned the frikken snake three times, so I basically didn't do any of the things that i said I would to prepare. This was my setup, just so that you guys know I didn't buy ANYTHING on this screen except for my rune plate and legs which I've had since classic. I also bought the dds because I hate herblore... Yes, that is the bonesack from the Rag and bone man quest, that IS an empty guthix book, and I DID use kebbit bolts. I can buy the rune gloves, but I'm holding off on buying a new pair until I can get the barrows ones. I used up all of my monkfish. So, first I went to dharock and prayed the whole time, then I used 1 dose of prayer potion to kill karil(my dds specs did a total of 6 damage, but did poison)also with magic, then I went to guthan and would have died if I didn't start praying and drink two potions, I wore the red dhide and torag never hit me :-k does he really suck that bad? Then I checked the verac mound and the tunnel was there, then I killed ahrim and used a good number of monkfish. I wasted a few because I clicked too much. Now I went into the tunnels which were extremely confusing for me... I ended up with a killcount of 15, but I never attacked anything. I just ran around aimlessly until I saw two red 15 splashes which confused me, and then I saw a yellow arrow pointing into the blackness of a tiny little hallway that I'd just left. I went in the door and tried not to pray, but i kept getting 11-15s. After I put on protect melee, he only hit one or two 12s. After that it took me about 5 minutes to find the chest :oops: Are you supposed to teleport back to your house at this point? I didn't do the training I should have... So I just teled to lumbridge after a rock hit me in the face. I forgot to check my supplies before I opened the chest, but I started with 200 deaths and 800 minds, so I lost a few deaths, but I have no idea how many I got from the chest. I ended up maging all of the brothers except for ahrim, is there a better way? That was easier than I expected, and I did waste a lot of food and probably could have gotten by using 3 prayer doses(I used 5), but I won't try that again until I finish RFD, build up my house, and train ranged, magic, and defence a bit. What are the max hits of rune and addy arrows? I was getting pretty consistant 6-8s on ahrim, and my max hit is 10-11 I believe. Any more tips would be greatly appreciated.

What damage spell gives similar experience to slayer dart? There doesn't seem to be a listing in the magic calculator, but my contacts are getting pretty dry...

I'm poor, so I chose the cheapest, Guthix. Since you usually won't need defence while praying, I don't see how the holy book benifits anything. Maybe someday I'll get the Zammy(or filll up this guthix) book.

The stew is too unpredictable, but for the other two, sure.
