I feel like anonymity is partially to blame for the deaths of forums as well. It used to be a bannable offense on RS just to ask where someone lived. Drastically different now. It's not just tip.it, from what I've seen most forums across all usage types are dead. I never got into reddit, but between facebook, instagram, youtube, twitch, and other messaging platforms that allow people to talk instantly without texting. That and the speed at which people communicate makes people's interest in having conversations over hours/days drop off. Personally, it was also the direction RS3 went in that killed tip.it forums for me. I do love oldschool and play it regularly. One person on my friends list lol.

you got me :P My main on rs3 has 200m farm. I think my previous osrs main (rufio_07) also had 99 but I forget.

16th time I get 99 farm. First time on osrs though. I'll still do daily magic and palm runs I think.

7 weeks to get 99/99/99 from 70/70/70 100% nmz. Was not able to do 24 hour days all the time, and obliviously not since the nerf recently. I think 5 weeks was perfectly possible pre-nerf. I got 17.8m nmz points from 70/70/70 to 99/99/99. I bought herb boxes daily and probably around 500-700 doses of overload. 99 Mage now then Range.

If looking at it as how long it took to get 200m all, that's not very accurate. For example, Le Me probably has the lowest time to 200m all but for sure has over 1k days played just from his phat marching etc. But if just looking at it from a curiosity perspective then nevermind.

He's been around for a long time, nice to see him get it. Don't think he did much spinning either, if any. Front page pretty much full too. One more slot left and he'll probably be done in a month at most.

70/70/70, 85 combat. Mage and melee all set to afk to 99. Range I'll start once I'm around 90 def.

Woke up to my feathers finished buying!

Some progress on my new pvm alt. 70 str and dragon defender. I'll use up tokens here and hopefully get a few spare d defenders. Then finish what's left of 70 def and I'm set for melees and magic. For range I just have to get avas, and really need 99 def first.

Servers have been dcing all day today, little bit yesterday. This past week they were OK, prior to that they were shit as usual. I'd highly recommend you do not chin.

Now to ss to 70 str and whip to 70 def and I'm all set to afk melees/range/mage to 99. Well I need fire cape too ofc. Tons of quests in between and I have another acc to pvm on!

I am not sure what you are referring to exactly, but if you mean that simply swapping osrs to rs3 or vice versa, that is most definitely NOT against the rules. It is classified as a trust trade, which is allowed. I do know that for awhile Jagex was banning and shutting down chats that specified in swapping, as it is a large source of scamming. @ Honorxp - I haven't swapped in ages so I have no idea where you should go. But I will say, take your time and do your research. Often times big name pvm clans have higher ups that swap on their own, for example my old clan Stud Unit. I never saw a scam there. But again, I haven't been involved in ages. Be wary, take your time, and trade in small increments. Any LEGIT swapper will have no problem taking the extra time to swap in small increments.

I would agree about update voting for the most part. I am always surprised at how mature most of the results are, ie- voting no to certain op weapons or other mechanics. But there are some updates that were voted in that I think should not have been. However, this is not solely because of the players voting. It's always caused by OSRS Jagex not implementing the right questions or updates. As an example I'll use the GE. The GE is great, don't get me wrong. However it's a massive update that changes nearly the entire game in big ways and small ways. There are also many flaws that could have been changed and instead, because the initial trading post poll failed, they went right ahead with the GE. I really feel like there could have been a far better system if they used the best of the trading post and the best of the GE. Instead we now have the GE and Jagex has said that they will poll updates or fixes to it retroactively. Anyway, just my opinion of course.

I for one think a large portion of OSRS success is due to that fact that there are far less resources, or effort as the op put it. Churning out content weekly for years and years and years, in my opinion, has always been one of the largest, if not the largest, negative to the main game. OSRS has less staff, but those staff care deeply for the game. Quality over quantity is what osrs is. There is also the benefit of being able to learn from some rs3 mistakes of course.

Honestly that would be very disappointing, a quick/lazy fix, and essentially the same thing they are already doing, just now making the blanket official. Gold farmers use them for illegitimate purposes but don't ruin it for normal players. If they ever come out with a mobile/tablet friendly version (html?) VPN's wouldn't be needed anyway.
