Boo. Boo, indeed. Does anyone know how the Fortune of the Sea reward works? Is it always just a 50-50 chance that it could be a 10% bonus or penalty to rewards?

I say it's still speculation but who knows. I had a random today after the patch and got a voyage re-roll and have at least 5 randoms at 3x rewards.

Another thing I noticed in all the regions is when near completion you start getting a higher concentration of trait voyages along with voyages from lower tiered regions. This happened each time when I fully upgraded my boat for that region and around 90% completion in the region. I can't be sure what triggered it but it has happened for all 3 regions so far.

I think I'm going to try and grab a few of the Scythe crew before heading back to get the slate for my boat and upgrades that way I can train the new crew on easier voyages.

Your captains log shows you how many story missions you've done, and there's only a certain amount per adventurer (think its 5 per?). So you can work it out from there. That's pretty dumb. I have access to all 6 adventurers and have no clue out of that total how many story lines I did for each.

Anyone know what happens when your captain has 4 traits and you do another trait mission with him?

Anyone see an increase in Arc and trait missions today? I'm about 90% through the skull region and maybe saw 1 or 2 bamboo missions the entire way until today. Today I received 5 or 6 Arc and 3 trait missions.

Do crew rerolls carryover to the next day if they are not utilized or is the max you can have 15?

How will saving them help? You will get one spot available and refill your rerolls which if you cant meet will have to reroll/risk anyways hence losing the missions It could be useful to push off the mission if you are still upgrading your ports, ship and crew allowing you to get the best opportunity to complete the mission. I've been sitting on a 6k seafaring mission for 3 days waiting until I max out all my upgrades before making the attempt.

Yeah at most you are just adjusting a few fields every hour or 2 depending on if that crew leveled on its last journey. The data input isn't really that intensive especially after it's initially input.

This^ It's such a complex problem that I doubt excel could even do it you'd need a fully fledged php coded database thing. And even if someone DID code a calculator it wouldn't be worth sharing due to the sheer time required to personally enter your crew details, which upgrades you own and the voyage requirements. Kind of problem it's much easier for a human mind to deal with in live time by being able to see which is a bit low and trying to shuffle numbers to work. Just because both of us think it's complex doesn't mean the next person that reads it does. I'm sure it can be done in excel but probably would require a VB script but I'm not sure hence the reason I'm asking.

That's actually not a trivial problem. I'm fairly sure it would take a really complex excel formula to figure it out. The easiest(and it's really still probably not too easy) way would probably make the user input their own crew member's stats individually because of level and trait boosts. And then you have to take into account how other crew member's traits effect them. It really seems like it's more trouble than it's worth IMO. Well yeah that's what I'd be doing. I'd enter all the stats as I upgrade them and it would search out the best percentage. Maybe one of the fan sites will create a calculator that could do this after the D&D has been out for some time.

Anyone know of a formula I could use in excel or google docs that could pull the best stats based on the totals needed for a mission? Let's say in this example I need 1000 Morale and 1000 Seafaring. It would search each combo of crew, ship upgrades, building bonuses, etc. and provide me with which set of those could yield the highest percentage for that mission. First thing I thought of when I read that. I wish they would provide the reasoning behind this change because I thought the per hit xp worked really well. -
Once the servers stabilized I was able to get a few more kills and got the 2nd and 3rd back to back.

I just want to make sure I'm not missing something when killing the QBD for dragonkin journals. I've done 40 kills and still have only received the 1st dragonkin journal. Is there something else I need to do to start receiving the other 3 parts or am I just having an unlucky streak?

I quit for a few months and just returned 2 weeks ago. Spent the first 11 days solely in runespan.

The shield looks like a dragonfire shield, actually. Yeah, I think you're right. I never saw one since the graphical update.

That pic is pretty sweet. Looks like they included all 3 new items from the QBD. Kite, crossbow and some sort of cape? In the interview they mentioned you don't actually kill the dragon just put her back to sleep and then you get kicked to a treasure chest room to loot your drops.

Maybe they don't want free loaders around for a very long time? Jagex wants new clients to play the f2p game, get a taste of it then pull out their credit cards. People that leech off the f2p system aren't providing anything to their company other than a strain on their resources. If someone plays a game for 12 months on f2p more than likely they won't decide on month 13 that they want to pay. This upedate just provides people less incentive to stick around for months and months without ever shelling out any money on the game. -
