  5. If anyone is available to help me get into the Waterbirth dungeon I would appreciate it. I'm hoping to ice burst rock lobsters to collect Crimson charms. Just message me in game if you can help and I'll come to your wold of choice. - G Bub
  6. She's already 98 Slayer with 96 HP... I think she's going to make it. ;) And the answer is lots of planning. I am guessing she might explain it herself later. I wasn't doubting her I'm aware of how the Hiscore lookup works. Thanks for the interview but that would have been my first question since most people doubted it being possible. Guess I'll just ask Ama when he logs in.
  7. You didn't ask her one of the most important questions. How she actually will achieve 99 Slayer without maxing out Hit Points.
  8. It definitely was an inventory wipe b/c I gave Twarhurst 5k steel bar certs that I had from selling rune 2h so he can get to 99 smithing much faster. He was at 94 smithing at the time and rune 2h's were still worth around 900k - 1m per 2h. I think this was after Gormis got banned so I didn't have access to him making 2h's anymore so I needed a new smith with 99 to supply me with them. Unfortunately this backfired, but I still had a nice stock of items due to the amount of 2h's Gormis made me. \
  9. I'm not stating that this will happen but simply by observing the drastic changes JageX has taken to prevent RLT I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of other compensation to killing a player. Ultima Online moved to a heavily item based system and added insurance to the game that allowed players to insure items with gold allowing them to keep any item insured but at the cost of 600 gold per item. Everytime you die you would need to renew that gold in order to retain the insurance on your items. Everytime you killed another player you would get half the gold per item that player had insured. This was such a huge hit to the community and an exceedingly drastic change to the overall game play. It took months for the game to adjust and balance itself out. EA, the company who owns Ultima Online, felt that this was necessary to continue evolving the game for years to come even though there was a HUGE backlash from the community. Don't be surprised if JageX takes a similiar stance that they deem necessary for the prosperity of their business. I'm not proof reading, sorry for any grammar mistakes. - G Bub
  10. I haven't fletched in quite a few months but I think you can get like 300k xp / hour so being able to get 2.2m would take you ~8 - 9 hours of non-stop fletching. Edit: This would be with the method of fletching and stringing magic logs / bows.
  11. Well, except for the fact that it's almost impossible to sell anything, it's perfect. ;) I don't see how its impossible to sell anything if you don't be an idiot and sell for the highest possible price. If you do that you should know that you won't get you're item sold. Well, I put up my 120k nats for 290 ea, which is 5 below the current market price... they've been up there for hours, not even ONE sold. It seems like if you want to sell anything you have to put it at the lowest possible price -.- Then it looks like the market is flooded with nats and they were always being over priced so now that everyone can see how readily available nats are people won't pay as much. I purchased quite a few nats at the 276 GP mark from people willing to sell at that price.
  12. I agree it is going to take some items a while to find the normal market average, i.e. dragon bones, super def pots, cads. Once they do though, it will make trading them much easier, however, until these items reach that medium then you will need to sell them through pre-GE ways of trading. Also, 24 hours is definitely a long time for price updates, every 4 - 6 hours woud be a better to help stabilize the market faster and keep up with the time zone changes.
  13. From what I understand the price is adjusted daily based on if a specific item was bought or sold at a higher or lower market price. If item x wasn't sold at all, then the price will be lowered the next day to compensate for no one buying it in an attempt to breath life into the market for item x. Eventually over time the prices will even out and a perfect market medium will be formed on each item. Also, if you are selling item x for 1,000 and someone is buying item x for an offer of 1,500 then you will buy the item for 1,000 from that person. You may pay varying prices up to 1,500 in order to get your full quantity you are in search for but you will never pay over the 1,500 limit you set.
  14. If you have a decent connection then you will be waiting around for a regular butler after your make 2 doors. You'll even wait around if you have you are fast and have a good connection with the demon butler but only for a second or less. I recommend the demon butler if you got a good connection, otherwise save the money and use the regular butler.
  15. If their is a tax on it I can see it being taxed for a % amount of the total listed cost each 12 - 24 hour period the item is listed. Therefore if the total % taxed is 1% and the item is listed for 3 days before it is sold then that item would be charged 1% of the list price 3 times if it was taxed every 24 hours the item was listed. I agree though, if there is a tax then a lot of players will probably avoid using this for higher cost items due to the tax, however, it can be very good for buying/selling bulk items.
  16. It is an assumption, but I can't imagine every time you logout that your items are taken down from the GE. That would create way too many headaches with people constantly having to re-list their items everytime they login/out and cause the GE to become irrelevant. Perhaps they will remain for an extended period of time (12 - 24 hours seems to be a reasonable guess) and if no one purchases the item they will be pulled from the selling database.
  17. It won't ruin merchanting but I guarantee it will be a few months to allow for prices to stabilize due to it. Usually the max users on at one specific time is around 200k+. Now imagine the amount of people on at one time increases to 500k+, essentially this is what is happening except it is in correlation to the amount of sellers on at one time. Since many more players items will be available for purchase, even when they aren't logged in, it increases the total amount of items available for purchase in the game at one time, which will in turn lower the demand for items.
  18. I guarantee it will diminish the cost of the most expensive rares, and more than likely, most items in Runescape. I don't think people realize how readily available a lot of items are especially crackers, phats, disks, half-wines, etc. I see posts on here time from time predicting the amount of crackers in the game at 50 - 500, and I guarantee you will see quite a few crackers get put into the Grand Tree market initially set at 1 bil. These won't sell for a few days and the price will drop down week-by-week until it stablizies at a price that will be shocking to most people. Quote my post for truth in a couple months.
  19. LKJ is Ladykilljoy. Whoever asked about tronsqueen, she still plays and I knew her and her husband (tron1000) well back in the day.
  20. You are 100% correct sir. Doubt you are playing again just by responding to this post, but if you are, then I still got you added so add me if you login. \ Oh, and tell your bro that I play again and to add me back on if you talk to him. :P I'll add some more to this post to keep it on topic: - There was a bug that if you pressed all m's across your screen it could cause another player to get disconnected giving people time to finish off their opponent in the Wild. - When Adam Plate was released with the Goblin Diplomacy quest. During the same update the smithing table was updated to allow for items beyond steel to require less than 99 smithing to be smithed. - When nature, law, death and cosmic runes were updated, along with the removal of good/evil prayer and magic. - The addition of The Wilderness and the ability to see XP until next level. - The day the skills crafting and fishing were released. - The release of item banks. - The one rock in dwarven mine that gave gems that were unable to be cut since chisels and crafting weren't released yet. I have a ton more but that is good for now. :P
  21. Updates I remember the most are: 1. Feb 2002 - P2P in RSC 2. Dragon Quest - Rune Plate 3. Goblin Diplomacy - Adam Plate 4. Release of Rune Items 5. Wilderness 6. Knife Equiping Bug 7. RS2 Beta
  22. That is pretty cool but you still need to know the pieces of armor that have the bonuses and it isn't very up-to-date. Anyone else have another link from a forum post that included this. I'm pretty sure it was on this board but it might have been elsewhere.
