the price of chins...
Ya know, this is a “lose-lose" kind of debate from the get-go. OP wants Jagex to “fix” prices on a product in order that he can train faster for cheaper. It’s going to immediately start an argument. Suggesting that OP “Do It Yourself” is pointless. If he was inspired to D.I.Y., then he would have done so in the first place, and not bothered wasting time with his ridiculous original rant. Suggesting that he’s more interested in efficient game-play is likewise pointless – if all he wanted to do was train efficiently, he wouldn’t be [bleep]ing about the cost. As such, anyone offering him advice – for any reason whatsoever -- is, for the most part, wasting their time. Of course, this is why this thread is in “rants” and not in “Help & Advice”.

Black Demons
It's late and I'm a little bleary-eyed -- is the OP planning on Yakking the ashes or using urns? That will affect rates, will it not?

Noobs say the funniest things!
Can one assume what the word "_____ are black" was a racist term?

... and at the same time, one does not need to be consistently barraged with the same inane message, repeatedly, ad nauseum. "... no beer and no TV make Homer something something ..." Not to mention that I don't even know where to submit anything if I wrote it ...

Trolling for dollars anyone? Seriously -- you folks are still so pissed about this to the extent that you publish this rubbish under Tip-It Times now? I realize that most of you cannot wrap your head around the idea that "fun" is subjective, and one could attempt to explain it to you once again, but in the end we cannot understand it for you. You're welcome to disagree with an article or a person's views, Blyaunte, but you do have to be respectful. Challenge the ideas but do not just call it rubbish or trolling. And the articles in the Tip.It Times do not reflect the view of the site, staff, or entire Editorial Panel. The articles only describe the author's opinions. Don't you think it gets a little "old" to see someone, time and again, attempt to make the same insipid argument against emergent/efficient/meta game play, based entirely upon their misbegotten notion of what efficient game play actually means -- and then have them assail such concept as not being "fun"? Personally, I could care a tinker's curse about what someone else thinks is "fun", but I am not about to attempt to deny whatever it is they consider to be fun as "not being fun" -- and then attempt to further qualify such an absurd point of view with some ridiculous epicurean non sequiturial metaphor. Not to mention the fact that efficient game play is more about the reasons "why" the game falls down the way it does, which unto its own self is considerable fun for those people who love to tinker with how games "play" -- but also that efficient game play means that while one spends less time grinding skills, one also has more time to attribute to those other things that one finds "fun" to do.

06-Dec-2011 Loyalty Programme - Batch 3
I know LOTS of people in P2P who have no bank space. Personally, I had around 30+ open spaces prior to the advent of the new bank spaces and tool belt. I may have 80+ open spaces now, but I'd have to check.

And you can get in with a full tool belt. Seems like this invalidated a big part of Lost City  Whoops! Somebody goofed!

Quests, Quests and more Quests! Yes, you've certainly got a lot of quality time ahead of you if you do all the quests you possibly can! It's a great idea and I think you're on the right path. However, before you get too far along with this cunning plan, I would suggest that you do two things: First - train all of your new-found (P2P) skills. There's a lot of low-level quests that have skill requirements, and it will come in handy now to spend your first few hours of your membership time training those level (1) skills to something more useful – like level 35-50. It doesn't take long to train a skill to 50, and you could easily have 50 in all those skills within 4 or 5 days, tops – depending on how much you play. Second - upgrade some of your current gear to something a little more useful: it appears that you have the levels to wear better gear than rune, so I'd suggest upgrading ASAP. Dragon legs and boots are not too expensive. You could use a ring of wealth and an amulet of glory. An obsidian cape will give you some much needed bonuses too. Oh -- and get a BANK PIN! That's three things! If you've got questions in-game, I am usually on-line most evenings. Feel free to add me in-game and I will help you out. If you're seeking more help than that, feel free to visit my clan's chat ("Team Walmart"). You'd be hard-pressed to find a more helpful and friendly bunch. Let 'em know that Bly sent you.

The waterfall or the tomb? Because the tomb is where you can't enter with any form of weapon/armor. It'd have to be Glarial's Tomb -- and I'd assume that the offending item(s) would be the bronze pick and hatchet ...

Again I'm not entirely disagreeing with you. That said, the ignore button cannot "catch all" of the spamming beggars (well it could, but you'd soon run out of room), nor does it eliminate the lag caused by 100's of people spamming within a confined space. Sure, you may not have to see the typed words, but the effect of all that spamming is still there ... <_<

I think this is a great idea! Is that a known fact, or is it your extrapolation of what may happen, girlfriend? I know, for example, that while I have the harpoon attached to my toolbelt, my character still opts to "hand-fish" at harpoon spots. Not that I am doubting you, of course, I am merely asking for clarification. <3

25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
Is it? Looks to me like the Euros are all pissed about NYC leading the poll and they're so worried that Jagex is going to move Runefest to an American venue that they're making up any reason they can to alter the poll result ...

While I am not entirely opposed to the idea of co-mingling F2P and P2P, I do have some questions as to how this would be handled: 1. How does one handle issues such as banking and equipping of P2P items for F2P players? Particularly for those players who were once P2P but are now F2P, but have an over-loaded bank account containing P2P items and what about former P2P players, playing in F2P mode, who are wielding and/or otherwise wearing P2P gear? 2. What happens if, say, a group of F2P pkers caught a P2P player in the Wildy wearing P2P gear? How does this gear trickle down to the F2P player(s)? What if its a mixed group of F2P/P2P pkers? 3. How does one compensate F2P players trying to gather resources (wood, coal, etc.) versus a P2P player with far superior equipment? 4. Similarly, how does one compensate for F2P players having to combat with P2P players wearing vastly superior gear at, say, the duel arena or monsters some multi-combat areas (like roaches)? Furthermore, if they did co-mingle F2P and P2P, Id want an additional GE location set someplace in a P2P area. I dont want to have to put up with mass begging every time I need to sell something

25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
It would likely be handled the same way concerts are--you get a wristband if you're over 21 along with an ink stamp. If you have them both, you can be served alcohol with an ID. If not, you're S.O.L. Honestly it's not really an issue. Somehow girlfriend, I think they've missed this point and the similar one I made ...

Powering Through Levels Vs Longevity
My game play varies all the time. Sometimes I power-level. Sometimes I help friends power-level. Sometimes I just socialize. I have a busy life. Im a mom with three teenagers (and an empty fridge), a husband, a job, and a house to upkeep. I am keen about maintaining my own personal fitness. I dont have a lot of time to play. When I do play, and I want to power level, I use the most efficient means to do it. I also encourage other people who likewise have limited playing time to do the same. If they listen to me, great. If they dont, meh. Lately, I am still in recovery mode from my most recent bout with power leveling: 99 Range, 99 Agility and 99 Summoning all of which I achieved through Effigyscape. Since then, Ive been merely playing for the joy of it, and enjoying the company of my friends. Back in 2001, when I first discovered this game (through my children), I was struck then by the more social aspects of the game. At that time, I was a single mom, going through a brutal separation from which I am still recovering financially and I had three small children at home. I had no social life available to me. Runescape offered me the chance to have evenings out with friends after the kids had all gone to bed, without having to leave the house. Even now, years later, it provides me with that social link that I otherwise dont have the time for. I run a Clan with my friends, many of whom I have known for years, and I spend a few hours each night chatting with them to pass the time. The Clan itself has taken on a life of its own. Ive a lot of people wanting my help and, these days, it seems that I spend more of my on-line time helping people understand game play, than I do working towards my own goals. Not that I mid that, but that is where my game play has gone to recently. When do I next plan to power-level? I dunno. But when I do, chances are I will choose to Effigyscape those too, or an efficient means to achieve my goal. But not right now.
