Kaida23's Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero!
Not sure of my prices, but iron ore is around the 345+/- mark right now. 85k iron ores is pretty close to 29M coins at the moment ... I'd agree that superheating would be a much better option for your smithing (and mage) experience than using the Artisan's workshop. There's a reason why no one uses it. Just sayin' ... Good luck Kaida. I will try to keep track of your 99 party and, if I am on-line when it happens, I will definitely drop in in wish you well. <3:

I agree with Sy, I think we'll just be getting updates of bronze - steel armours. If they are planning them all through the year then they'll probably group black - addy together then do Rune and Dragon later. After all, for rune alone they have trimmed, heraldic and God versions to do. It is a sticky issue; while I think that is the likely route at runefest when showing offer armour make overs and concepts they did show low-levelled metal armours (and spoke of bronze>rune) dragon and barrows. So by that terminology it should go the rune. Never know perhaps we'll get bronze > rune but heradlic, trimed etc will be the "later date" This seems the most plausible situation ...

Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
Once upon a time, it was reasonably effective, until the bots started spamming websites for gold sellers, and the Pmods stopped enforcing the rules because they felt that it wasn't their job ...

Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
Because of box staking and rat pits, and arguably conquest too. They could make it so that gambling/betting/wagering/etc... are against the rules outside of areas that have the mechanics already built into the game specifically for that purpose. For what cause? I honestly don't think these hot-fixes would be effective. It'll be like an attempt to stop spamming by making it against the rules. I thought spamming WAS against the rules?

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Give her space and time to come to grips with her feelings, for one. Youve attempted to address the subject and she knows that, already, so theres no point in pushing it further at this point in time. You both know whats been said. When shes ready to come to grips with her feelings for you, she will address them with you. Let her be in that aspect of your relationship, and she will come to you with her feelings when she is comfortable with them. Be there for her. Be comforting. Be supportive. Be caring and loving. Be her friend. She will appreciate all these much more in the long run. Dont get jealous. Dont make demands. Accept what she can give you, right now, graciously and let her know you appreciate it. Not to sound offensive, but neither of you is actually in a position to engage in a serious long-term-long-distance relationship, either. Shes living something of a transient lifestyle in at least two places at the same time, and youre still in school. Give your lives time to settle. Let both of you find your path in life and, when the time is right and youre both in the same place, then that may be the time to press her for an explanation of her feelings for you. Until then, enjoy the time you have together. Treasure every moment of it. :-)

16-Jan-2012 - Hati & Sköll
Sadly, I already have 99 in all the skills that the boots/gloves will benefit. What I don't get is why, for example, don't the boots benefit other skills, like firemaking. I mean, we had to make a fire to attract the damn thing in the first place, AMIRIGHT?

What I don't get is why not simply state that gambling is against "the rules", and, thereafter punish/ban those people who break the rules?

Yeah it's a toss-up really. Quality defencemen and goaltenders are in short supply -- and generally they both take much longer to "mature" than forwards. Y9ou can draft either one now, but it's going to take most players a few years to really mature into the role. IMO, defence is the hardest position to play in hockey. Goalie is the most stressful, yes, but defence is the most difficult to actually play really well.

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Yeah, edmonton will definitely be a great team, but in a few years. They do have Dubynk in the system, if he plays to his potential they'll be set in net. Imo their defense is their weakest point. For example, Cam barker has been a second pairing dman for them for chunks of this year (when he's been healthy)...and he couldn't even stick in Minnesota's top 6 (a pretty weak D on paper as well). I think Edmonton has the worst D in the league - and it's high time they addressed that at the draft. Take Murray for example, he's supposed to go top 5 - and it looks like the oil will pick in the 2-5 range anyway. Agreed - their defence needs addressing too. Though I was not all that impressed with Murray's play at the WJC, especially against Russia ...

Runescape Discussion: Why do you play?
I play Runescape now for pretty much the same reason I played it when I first started. Socializing. When I was first separated from my ex I was a single mom with three children, and a job. I did not have the time to get out and socialize with other adults -- or much of anything else for that matter. Being a mom came first, my job tied up all my other time. It was tough going. I had been harmed emotionally and physically by my ex and I was lonely. When my children found Runescape through Newgrounds, I was, at first, worried about who they were interacting with, so I kept a close eye on them while they played. As a teen, I had played the paper and pencil role-playing games and Runescape really hit a nerve with me. I reminded me a great deal of RuneQuest, which had been a favourite game of mine. Soon enough, I was smitten with Runescape itself, and I started my own character thereafter. It was great for me as I said being a single mom, because it allowed me to be at home, and mind my kids while they were sleeping at night (young children go to bed so early), and still have the chance to talk to real live people. 10+ years later, here I am, still socializing with people on-line. Over the years, I have made some great friends on Runescape. We have a lot of fun together. I look forward to the few hours each night we spend together

A Very Barrows New Year
I use the prayer renewals for two purposes: first, in tandem with Reverence, it *does* keep my prayer from running down too fast in case I need it, or want it, and, second, it provides a helpful little timer for my OVLs (since both of them last 5 minutes) and lets me know how much time I am taking on each particular run, without having to double-check a clock/timer. At 99 prayer, with renewals alone, I can usually complete all the brothers and still have 130-200 remaining on my prayer each run ... :shades:

The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Let's be honest; edmonton was never in contention. And minnesota can still easily pick things up; they were expected to be a bubble team anyway going in. I was excited to see Edmonton doing so well early in the season. It's a shame it didn't last. Theyre a few years away, I think, from being serious Cup contenders. Hall has to calm his game down, for one thing. He cannot be chasing after the cheap shot artists he needs to play his own game. Not to mention that Edmonton really needs to get a more reliable goaltender. Khabibulin was playing out of his mind earlier in the season, but hes not there now and, traditionally, he never has been. Frankly, I wonder if the Oilers may have a goaltending draft pick in their sites.
