There's nothing wrong with attempting feats, no matter how pointless or bizarre. And I don't see why other people care so much about someone else doing something. I once went 24 hours without going to the bathroom (1 or 2). That was, sadly, once of my grandest feats.

Man I just realised that the Zone doesn't play cd-rom games anymore, so we'd have to play AoE2 on gamespy or something. That also means no more Rogue Spear online either, which makes me sad. The Zone is where I got my start in online games, and it was pretty much all I used for years. I don't even know if you can play Rogue Spear on gamespy.

I watched my first movie in a while: United 93. Regardless of what you think about conspiracies, or how accurate you think this could be, you can't deny that this is an almost painfully powerful movie. It's so seems so subtle, so real, so human. I can't tell whether I'm actually sick or the movie made me, but I gotta tell you it was very intense. It also reinforces the fact that everyone involved is only human; it's very easy to blame all the officials for not acting fast enough and all that, but when you actually get to see them (or in this case, a portrayal that appears to be somewhat accurate), you see that their reactions are only human. I quite liked this movie; not one I'd want to watch every day but I liked it very much.

This has been one of the worst years for movies in memory, and boy have their been some doozies.

The 360 was bad partially because it was poorly planned. It completely bombed in Japan, and all those unsold units could have been used to ease the pressure in US. I guess that's what Sony is doing; perhaps they suspect Europe might not have as much pressure as US and Japan. Even though I'm sure it will do well in Europe, there will be huge demand in US and Japan.

...and why do you think you know better than Sony? I'm going to have to agree with Kryptix. Its most likely they are going to try to get as many units as possible to US/Japan, because thats where the biggest markets are. They want to have atleast a decent amount in their 2 biggest areas of play. And besides, it's March. It would be January before most people could get one anyway with the backups there will be...Maybe with the time they have they will be able to make enough to not have so many backups.

Sadly, the taste in music I have doesn't lend itself to cheap tickets, and I don't live close enough to be able to easily get there. They'd come to Toronto, and if I absolutely must get there I could, but it would have to be something huge.

I was gonna see it even before you mentioned it; I saw a preview on some other independant movie, and thought it looked kind of neat, I was just never sure if it was on DVD or floating in some limbo between limited release and DVD.

I rarely see a beer commercial that's bad, most are awesome. They rely so heavily on advertising, and they do it so well. Well, that one with the wierd Scottish guy and he was really passionate about his beer. Those were so annoying.

How do you propose we play an N64 game? You know, I think a tournament of Warcraft 3 would be good. Easy to run, easy to co-ordinate (easy to get into channels, no messy IP's, solid b.net action). And we could play 1v1 or something, so that if people have to leave they don't hurt their partners (though teams would be really fun too).

I don't know about you guys, but when talking to people, everything counts. I could get along with someone for years, and a seemingly minor thing might change my whole conception of them (or visa versa). It might not make me hate them, but I'm constantly taking things into account, whether it be first impression or whether I see them all the time. And I have a killer memory when it comes to people doing stuff (the only thing I can remember, along with the cursed memories of embarassing things I've done that I can't forget). Point: First impressions (unless they end up being only impressions), can't make or break how you feel any more than things at other times can, atleast for me.

I've planned to buy SC: CT, play it for a few days, then use all them fancy tools to get it off as fast as possible. AS of right now, it isn't supported at all on Vista (the games just simply won't work), but most people can atleast play the games right now. If your up for risks, and you find a solid way to get it off, go for it.

Ipods are from my point of view a tremendous waste of money. MP3 players too. I have a CD player that I've had for about 5 years for car rides. How I see it is that if you really love music that much, you should take time to actually thoroughly enjoy it. I see people listening to them in loud halls, in class, etc. It just doesn't make sence. And people plug them in for like, a minute and a half some times and listen to...most of a single song. If it's not good enough that you can take the time to listen to a whole track, how disposible is it? Almost all my listening of music is either on long car rides where I can listen to several (or many) full albums, or at home. If I'm not doing anything on a Friday or Saturday night, from time to time I'll stay in my basement and...experience an album for all it has to offer. But that's just my opinion. I really don't care what you do.

I have the boringest/safest life which is a mixed blessing. I don't even have an event that I could grossly over-exaggerate about.

As of right now, SLI is a much more rational and effective choice. Of course, as ATi is trying to copy SLI soon, we may see a change, but for now, if you want 2 GPU's, SLI is most likely easier and better. (On an off note, if you want a single, high end card, ATI destroys nVidia in everyway; nVidia wins in middle-range, low range, and dual card). You might also like on a motherboard, 3 PCI-E x16 slots is going to be really nice, especially if you want a dream machine. 2 GPU's, 1 PPU (once they become far more useful, and inevitably become PCI-E). Really nice. Also, you get what you pay for. Do some reasearch, find out about what other people say, and since you clearly have a very nice budget, don't cut corners. Oh yeah, and look out for DX10.

i saw it today as well.. i was actually suprised at how good it was... and lewis black was hillarious I saw Jonah Hill on Conan O'brian (AKA. "Ask me about my weeineerr!'), he was the funniest talk show guest I've seen in a while.

Because I don't like them and I have the word "Progress" followed by a question mark beneath it. :) I work there. :anxious:
