Even though I really like Family Guy, I wouldn't possibly say it blows me away. The Simpsons, seasons 3-6, do. I've seen every episode in those seasons atleast 30 times a piece (an extremely conservative estimate, most likely more than 50). And the older I grow, the more I notice that I didn't before (whether it be a pop-culture reference, or simply a subtle happening in the background that I never saw before). The episodes in those seasons (and I guess 7-8 were fine aswell), are the best TV there has ever been, period.- Gotta Love Dormitories
Seeing these pictures kind of makes me want to move out and get my own place (my room here at home is seriously a bed, a closet, and a dresser. No TV, computer, posters, nothing. It's so neat and tidy bland. This talk about living alone intrigues me, but also terrifies me to the max about leaving the relative safety of home and living alone where I have to fend for myself.- What Do You Want To Do With YOUR Life? ~Share Your Dreams~
Next 10 years: -Finish high school, attempt to get even a small scolarship. -Go through university, it doesn't really matter what subject, I dislike almost all of them. -Work hard each summer to get through the next year of school -Get out of school, take a few years to plant myself (get a place of residence, car, job, furniture/computer and get into a suitable living style, perhaps get married, who knows). Then: -Find some way of getting into the arts...Not necesarily visual arts, I'm thinking maybe making a no-budget film, or a short film, or learn to play music. Something. My whole life up until this point has been entirely academic, I need to do something for myself. But there's no time now. Also, I have an incredible amount of respect for writers. I might try writing a novel, or a screenplay. I have the most respect for someone who can write a video game, and make it work well (there are like <3 writers in the business who I can say this about).- GPA's So far?
Same, because I have some inhuman way of remembering the most useless facts and anecdotes, that are quite simply facinating to me but considered strange by "normal" standards. Also, when I'm interested in something, it's a lot easier for me to retain that knowledge, quite simply, because I want to.- GPA's So far?
Yup, Ontario must be immensely hard markers, especially as you near the end of high school. I'm currently in grade 12. I don't think anyone in the school in my grade last year got over 90% in English, and only I would say 5% got over 80%. The numbers are similar for math, except that there were a few more over 80%. Basically though, at my school, if you're getting over 90% (except in exceptional cases) in a subject, it most likely means you are naturally gifted in that area and are probably going to be doing something in that area. Probably for the best. It's easier for a university to distinguish someone who is actually good at a subject from someone who just puts a lot of time in. Most people in my grade simply aren't capable of getting over 90% in math, no matter how much time they put in (believe me I know). Therefore it's easy to tell if they are naturally gifted.- The Ultimate Band (make your own!)
Man, it's so hard to choose only 1 member of PF.- ESD and 50% humidity???
Use a de-humidifier :).- does anybody here watch dragon ball z?
HAHAHAHAHA^^^^^^. Is that Carlton? I loved DBZ, it was the only one I would watch. DB seemed to kiddy for when I was watching it, and DBGT started out slow for the first like 10 episodes, so I could never really get into that either. When you compare those 10 episodes to the first ones of DBZ, DBZ owns it (Radditz/beginning of the Saiyan saga). I've seen <10 episodes of DB and DBGT, but every last episode of DBZ. By far my favourite episode of DBZ was called "Ginyu Assault". It was the one where Goku finally gets to Namek and completely destroys the Ginyu force within like 20 minutes, and he does it so well.- What movie(s) did you last see?
I watched Lucky Number Slevin. It was entertaining, but sloppy. It seemed at first to be along the lines of a crime-comedy, but turned to a crime-drama about half way through. With this, you could never really take it seriously, but you couldn't laugh at it either. I mean, it was entertaining, and the way it played out wasn't bad, but it just didn't really have a clear goal.- Tickle Me Elmo X TMX Elmo... O_O

I dunno why, I think mine and my bros were both of some sort of fighting or shooting. Actually, a smilely face with a huge head might have been my first (he was driving a car, how insane!)- ''Pink Floyd''?
You can't get the full understanding on first hearing. You need to play it more often. Wish You Were Here would be, I think, the album you could least appreciate. As he's not known with style, or history. I'm not saying Echoes is the best floyd album. But it is best when you are starting to listen to them. It covers all periods, Barrett, Gilmour and post Waters. From here you can orientate on what sound appeals most to you. And you automatically have a little bit of background on the band as well. Don't rush things, learn about it first. And then play the albums. Otherwise you might get a nasty surprise, as you had. When you put it that way, your probably right. I actually own Echoes, but I don't believe I've ever actually listened to it.- ''Pink Floyd''?
I disgree, I think he should start with something like Wish You Were Here. I don't think you get the full understanding of their greatness from a compliation, since they are so much about the album. Maybe Wish You Were Here (even better when you understand the reasoning behind it all)...Maybe Animals...(same, to an extent). I started with DSotM, and I don't think I was able to fully enjoy it because it was too good. I wish I had eased in, and braced myself for it.- 12 Angry Men
- What form of entertainment you can't live without
Internet is cheating ;). No loopholes.- What form of entertainment you can't live without
I'm just wondering, hypothetical, if there was one form of entertainment you could have for the rest of your life, what would it be? And by this, I mean: books, video games, television, movies or music. Pretend everything else in life is the same, and that money is an object (this way, TV gains one on something like video games because it's relatively free). Alternately, you can rate from 1 to 5 in what order you enjoy these forms of entertainment. Some form of justification is also encouraged. I will post my own thoughts when I have some time to think it over. It's really a dilly of a pickle, that's why I posted it. :-k Have fun! Edit - I might as well post this in the topic: Internet/computer should not be posted, as they aren't really forms of entertainment.- fave genre of music?
I like regular rock, prog rock, soft rock (when done well, this is quite possibly my favourite), and many other variations on rock. I especially like it when bands/artists use something other than the standard guitar/bass/drums. At very least throw in some keyboards, but (when done well), I enjoy many intruments not normally seen in rock music (sax, organ, banjo, violin/other string instruments). Oh and I also like some pop-rock. Oddly, I don't really like hard rock. Some I like, but the greater majority of what people call "classic rock", (a lot of the time they are refering to classic hard rock) I just don't particularly like.- Bodybuilding / Gym.
One thing I find that I really laugh at. In my weight-training class, people give themselves far to much credit, like it's some sort of competition or they are trying to show off. People put huge weight on benchpress, leg press, preacher, barbell curls....Whatever it may be, those are the very obvious ones though. They put so much weight on, then they do the most terrible, atrocious looking reps, were they either don't take the weight down far enough, or they like, swing their whole body, back legs, everything to get it to go. For a really good workout, do less weight, do the reps RIGHT, and focus on the muscle group your trying to work. It makes a huge amount of difference, and it lessens the risk of injury.- Big, Bad Laptop...

We'll see. I'm going a semmester without gaming; the first....ever. We'll see.- asians...
I can't tell them apart, just like I can't tell what country an African person is from. Or what middle eastern country someones from. Or what country a south american person is from. The only thing I can tell apart is I can normally pick out someone from Europe as compared to a North American, they just look different.- Your Favorite Directors, why?
I'm a huge Star Wars fan (#1 favourite movie is A New Hope), but I wouldn't call them masterpieces directorally. I admit, Star Wars: A New Hope (the only of the original series directed by Lucas) was actually done quite well, in that it basically stayed out of the way, and even improved on the story at times. I consider that to be a good directing job. But by no means is it even supposed to be a movie about good directing. It's good, but not a masterpiece as it's not even trying to be in the field of direction. I'm not going to actually post any favourite directors, as to be honest, any director that doesn't compromise the story in the name of directing, and can even improve upon it, is good directing in my books.- Wii Launch Date
I'd get it, but I'm saving. That's a pretty good deal though, especially since it comes bundled with a game (that would probably retail for 30-50 dollars by itself). - Not your average favourite cartoon topic!
