  1. Hokai, this is earth..wait, wrong thing. Anyways, I've entered in my first competition in ages (Ganymedes) and I thought I'd share my progress, show people how I do stuff and ask people for advice. So, here's where I began: Sketch: Then, I went on to: The blueprint: And now I'm doing the shading: Lastly, I'll be doing colour optimization, Antialiasing touchups, background, and decorative design. Thanks for reading, reember to reply! :D Finished, see bottom of first page.
  2. Thanks :). Yeah I want to do something my self now, I have an idea for a signature, just need to be in the right "mood" to do it lol. I'll try doing that misterX :). Go for small work first, 64x64 or 80x80. Trust me, it'll be easier without all that daunting white space.
  3. Pretty good for beggining, better than me. Try taking what you learned from that excercise and making something of your own creation. Remember to practice AA, interesting shading and dithering, and clear cut symbolism. You'll be a pro in no time! :o
  4. Are you a serious artist who would like to study this art form, or did you do this as a joke? Do you study the traditional medium at all? Are you really interested in becoming a skilled pixel artist? I'll decide whether to critique after you answer.
  5. Must...restrain... Bwahahaha! Sorry for the spam, but I just really thought that was hilarious, I don't know why. Nice tutorial, ...Termeister!
  6. Finished. Bid on it in the media market!
  7. Thanks for the comments, keep them coming! I don't know why, but small canvases always feel right to me. I'll take your CC into account.
  8. I wish I where not so sleep depraved, forasmuch as I yearn for sleep I yearn to finish this. I plan of fully dithering it, and including AA. A Godawful amount of work for a peice only 120x64. 20 colors (Overkill, hopefully lowered at the end stage of design when I tweak everything.) My first enviroment (pitifull) FInished at bottom \/
  9. Is it a style, or are you afraid to try something else? In all fairness what the heck are you on? Ahrims robes are robes, they are made of cloth, the staff can't go bigger now it has been extended off the base of the image, except the top of it and as for the figure, Theres next of my to do list and am going to work on it now, but I won't full follow teenage's guide as that is not staying true to what the pose is meant to be, but I will improve upon what is there as some of teenage's points are correct. As for the rotation, he is rotated at a diagonal, how my characters are rotated is juts part of my style, if you look even at my current sig you can see the same style is used, it may not to be everyone's taste but it is my own style Is it a style, or are you afraid to try something else?
  10. His arms are unnaturaly large. Shorten those.
  11. Bump...No one loves me?
  12. Practice. 64x64, 19colors. Didn't try much color conservation, AA(no need) or dithering(no need). Thought I'd share.
  13. I wish! Thanks for the compliment. I think I may do another alike sprite in a while.
  14. You don't seem to realize the enourmous amount of red light those fires would give off. Literaly everything should be red.:|
  15. He's gonna dog you. Just wanted to show off one of my little practice peices. Probably 3hrs work, 18 colors. :o
  16. If he's going to have manbreasts, at least don't make them saggy.
  17. So, my using Graphics gale for 7 months has made me dumb and lazy? Do explain...:|
  18. Little matrix code, yus yus. Rate and stuff. If your interested in buying, I guess you could post here. Or pm me.
  19. I could be paid no better compliment Pureleader. :)

Stop! Its dither time. 8 colors. Redone from this image (10 colors): -_- Here's an x3 version:
  21. Yes, this is what I'm talking about Ter. I love the strides your making. Gimme more contrast though, bust out some dither. :) But 84 colors? For shame. I'm going to do an edit I think.

Boo, we didn't get it very hard here in Marion County (Indianapolis). Only about 2 and a half inches. It was all cleared by morning, so I had school :( The first big snow, when we got like 6+ inches, my stupid school was like the only one in the state to NOT get cancelled. (Cathedral High School). We only had a two-hour delay  Holy stuff you go to Cathedral!?
  23. Good, but it wont be spectacular (IMO, I stress) till you get some AA on those black lines (Your obviously not getting rid of them) and some more dithering and blending, maybe better color choices. Overall its quite impressive, but the grass seems a bit to easy to spot blocky pixels, thrown in some more colors and AA a bit to get a better grass tone. Yes gore- hoorah! :D (I agree with APERSON as well)
  24. product does not determine result. graphic's gale is easyer and faster and in all ways a recomendation however that does not mean you have a right to roll your eyes towards the ms paint users. Err, I was just mocking Your Mother, stiffo.
