Pixelart was born cool. 8)

Thats not simplicity. My sig is simplicity. I may only use four or so colors, but I might as well be using 16, the dithering and placement give me all the colors I need. I'm just playing up on pixelarts ability to trick the mind. :wink: Truly, anymore colors would make it look worse, in my opinion. Thanks :)

Oh my god I love that :shock: If it wasn't done justice in the photo, I'd probably have a heart attack if I saw it with justice done!

One more thing: The [bleep]eless leg is pretty fat looking, not very defined. Maybe not fat so much as blobish. :wink:

Ok, well, theres a lot to improve on here, I hope you will take some of my rambling to heart. :) First, his shoulder pads are well designed, but what bugs me is the [bleep]es dont relly have a lightsource, shadows are just going all over the place. Also, ditch the black lines, things looks kinda sloppy with that sharp contrast in the outlines. These make the illusion of armour. Unfortuanatly, the chest plate breaks it. It seems to contour with his body and muscels, making it appear to be a tight fitting sparkly green shirt. Also, the [bleep]es still look shadowless. Rid the black lines. His platelegs also look like tights., they're bending with his legs, exposing muscle structure, and appear to be a single entity, even when his legs are bending, where it would be impossible for a metal of any quality to bend. Another wierd thing is that the tights he wears on his thighs change into sweatpants and make him look fat by the ankles. Also, there seems to be a really [bleep]y lightsource here.. It seems to be coming from (our) the right, but the leg with the plate (how does he kneel with huge [bleep]es on his knee?) [bleep]e thing is getting lightsource from (our) left? And why is he wearing a thong? Where is the crotch? His arms are anatomical mess, pal. his left arm(our right) appears as though you where eager to show the entire upper arm, but that huge shoulderplate got in your way and you did it anyways. most of the top of his (now) exposed ar should be hidden within the plate, thats the point of armour you see. The smae [bleep]y lightsource seems to protect the arm from shadows of his body again...and the black lines are way to harsh, especialy for the skin tone (which you might want to tone down a tad and make more reddish). Nice work on such a large scale, I always liked smaller works better, but you seem good at working big. Also, you'll soon find random dithering isn't the answer to everything, but rather smooth color choices. :wink:

I agree with alex, and also want to say: Your skills... don't seem tutorial ready. When beginning artists start, seeing a tutorial really inspires them, and thats the responsiblilities all tutors have, do you want people to think that is as good as it gets? You have a long way to go, I mean, you pretty much still pillowshade even, not the best example for lesser artists. :?

I'll give it proper C&C as soon as that pointless text is taken off. Seriously, just sayi its a wip, no need to obscure the picture saying that. If your woryed someone will steal it, don't, because people don't steal wips. They steal finished works.

. Ooh, something to do whilst training on those darned experiments. + His skin tone. Ok, so it's pretty nice, I mean, I can tell he's a human or whatever, but, you know, its seriously desatured, almost grey. He looks like a walking corpse! If there is any blood in him, and he's white, then he'd have alot more saturated skin. Use reddish yellow for that effect. +His bow. Yeah, at the place where his hand is, its too wide. Cut it back a few pixels +His fingers. He lacks them. +His boots look...small and floaty. He doesn't seem to be making contact with the ground, theres no interaction. +His head. It looks too small becuase the of the hat. There could be more, but I assume his legs are still WIP. Bai.
