  1. 1 Darklight spec = 2 DDS specs. In 2 DDS specs, you do an extra 72 damage MAXIMUM. The Darklight spec lasts roughly 5-10 minutes, depending on your monster's level. Let's say on average the Darklight spec lets you hit 1 more than usual, every 4 hits. In 10 minutes, you will hit approximately 200 times. That's 50 additional damage. This is a very CONSERVATIVE estimate. In addition you will recieve less damage. Darklight > DDS when you're facing a high-level monster.
  2. All you 100+ (me included) keep on complaining about not having a challenge. Here's just an idea I've been toying with. Elemental weaponry and armor. Attack circle: Water < Fire < Air < Earth < Water (< = effective against) Elemental sword, Statistics. Your elemental sword will be enchanted (high cost, like 1M runes) with a certain element (one of the basic 4) +100 to all combat stats when wielded 2-handed. In 1 6-speed damage turn (i.e. the time it takes a whip to hit once, refer to KBase's weapon speed page), you hit once with mage, once with range, and once with melee. You must be wielding full elemental armor in order to wield the elemental sword. Your melee attack will not work if your opponent is wearing any elemental armor. Your magic attack will not work if your opponent is wearing a staff (or an elemental armorpiece) that is effective against yours. Your range attack will not work if your opponent is wearing any elemental armor. The weapon's mage attack will use up runes. The weapon's range attack will use up shards (which you can buy somewhere, but expensive, like 10k a piece) Maximum hits: Melee max hit will be 1/3 of your strength level. Magic max hit will be 1/3 of your magic level. (If attacking someone with a staff or ele armor that you're effective against, it's basically like verac's special - your magic attack will hit through their armor) Range max hit will be 1/3 of your range level. Making 1-hitting an armorless 126 possible. Obtaining the Elemental sword. 1) Quest x (some REALLY hard quest, think 10 Jads at a time hard) 2) 95 smithing to smith the blade 3) 95 crafting to craft the bottom of the sword 4) 10 cut onyxes to craft the middle of the blade 5) 95 fletching to craft the shard shaft 6) 95 RC to make your blade enchantable 7) 95 Mage to enchant your blade 8) 95 construction (blade can only be assembled totally at some place in your house that requires 95 construction to make) 9) 95 theiving to steal an "elemental rune," one of the runes required to enchant 10) 95 agility required in the quest 11) 90 farming 12) 95 prayer to reach the altar to enchant the blade 13) 95 WC to cut an elemental tree, producing elemental wood, required for the base of the blade (Or, 90. As long as it's decently hard) ... you get my point. Somewhere along the way, the player must also pay something like 150M to a guy to tell him how to make it, you have to sacrifice 100k pure ess and 1M reg ess, yeah. So total cost would end up being like 1B. This would be a SERIOUS money drain. Elemental armor. +250 to all stats, when full. (Arround same bonuses as barrows) Helm = +60 to all Body = +110 to all Legs = +80 to all Each piece will require a very difficult quest (easier than the sword, though) Same requirements. Elemental armor and weapon choice will be something in dueling (like something you can switch on or off). Otherwise dueling would be mad unfair. Also, elemental enchants decay after 1,000 turns of doing damage or 1,000 hits done onto you. To re-enchant, you must go through a lot of the quest parts to get to an altar, sacrifice the same amount of runes, etc. So enchantment upkeep would be ridiculously expensive, like 100M each time. (To prevent people from just killing everything in sight) In addition, it will decay like barrows, too - the actual armor and weapon physically deteriorate over time (20 hours, or something). There will be some master smith that repairs your piece for 10M. This may seem cheap at first, but then the smith charges you more and more (exponentially!), as repair pieces are getting rarer and rarer. Also note that elemental shield will negate magic and range attacks of the blade.
  3. OR you just use IBarrage :D Boom, 30 x 9. Still, DDS is better. D2H spec you're rarely going to kill nor use. DDS spec, if you're lucky you can kill 40+ above your level
  4. I will respond to the following quote directly but hopefully answer the other quotes in the process. You DON'T make the orbs to craft and alch. You SELL them, so that OTHER people who want the "free" crafting and "free alch item" (buy at 9k, alch for 9.3, pays for your nat). The purpose of my method IS TO MAKE MONEY. You SELL the ENCHANTED ORBS and you DO NOT MAKE THE STAFF. And to make money, YOU NEED RUNNERS. The water orbelisk is the ONLY OBELISK visible for your runners to interact with you (going through the actual dungeon is too long per run, and you'd have to pay them a lot more per run, and you wouldn't make money). The only other option is to AIR OBELISK. It MIGHT actually be possible to trade from the wildy to the air obelisk platform... I haven't tried it, but I doubt it's possible. Plus it's a lot more risky (carrying 1m to pay your runners, while defenseless, in the middle of the wild isn't that smart) Hope that clarifys my idea. You buy from MAGE GUILD because varrock sells for 250 more on average. 250 is quite a bit extra.
  5. entire bar if i remember right There's a 50% drain.
  6. How much HP do barracades have? How high is their defense?
  7. You still do damage to the portal with your spec. Also you could save up this spec for after your portal is done.
  8. Why don't people use D2H spec while PCing? It basically takes up 2 DDS specs (60% drain for one use, where DDS is 25%). Of which you can do 140 damage, max. But D2H spec hits 14 people, and you can do 32 damage to each. That's like 250+ damage easy. Maxed, it's 448 damage. You might even use hally, which is 35% drain, I think.
  9. Prices will not fall, because they're already DIRECTLY RELATED to store prices and alch prices. So unless jagex changes those, the 1k is constant.
  10. One can make Water Orbs on the island off of Catherby beach. Assuming glass orbs cost 500 each, and 3 cosmics (for the spell) costs 450, the cost is roughly 1k. You can sell Water Orbs for 2k, or you can attach them to battlestaves (that you buy from magic guild for 7k). Then you alch for 9.3k, giving the same profit 2k. That's 1k an orb. Assuming it takes you roughly 2 seconds to charge an orb, that's 1.8M an hour, with 100k+ Magic xp for free (and basically free 99 Crafting, if you make your staffs) The only problem is, you need uncerted orbs! (Always a drawback) So you hire runners, making trips from Cath bank to the island shore. But the runners can't trade you, since you're on the island! (Another drawback.) Now. If anyone can figure out a way for runners to get you your orbs (I'm thinking telegrab, but tele-ing each orb is a LOT more work, and I doubt you can keep up 2 seconds an orb), that's pretty much an easy 1M an hour. Ideas?
  11. Can you estimate how much I could make IBarraging the drags... Possible 1M an hour? =D I'm dreaming of killing 3 drags in 10 secs...
  12. Where's the best place to stun-train? (i.e. using Stun to train... it's like the curse spell) I read somewhere that if you train with someone else at Duel Arena, you won't get randoms... I'm assuming this is true. But what, then, would you stun there?
  13. That's because using agressive gives you temporary +3 str. Never knew that, but sounds reasonable. So does using accurate style also give +3? Yes. Controlled = +1 for all
  14. Let's say the highest number of GP in binary is: 1111111111111111111111 So once you get one more GP, you should be at 10000000000000000000000 However, since numbers are stored in a limited amount of binary digits, the first digit is cut off, giving 0000000000000000000000 So all of your money is gone.
  15. Lots of people have over the money cap (which, by the way, I think is due to a number limit in Java itself. So unless Jagex rewrites GP using doubles instead of integers (basically rewriting all shops, high alching, everything relating to GP...), the cap will stay). Rs pleasent has at LEAST 10b... I'm guestimating 10-15 PHat sets?
  16. That's because using agressive gives you temporary +3 str.
  17. You're best off with chaos, I think It's 33,333 chaos, which goes to about 5m. So basically no discount, unless you can get 33k chaos at less than 150 ea.
  18. you're wearing the same team cape as them.
  19. The formula for max hit actually gives a decimal. Jagex truncates the decimal in the actual game. Technically, your max hit is still being raised when you are at "in-between" levels. The likelihood of hitting anything above your "integer max hit" (the integer value of your max hit) is increased. So yes, raising in-between levels does help you hit more often. For example, If you can hit 19.5, your *actual* max hit is .5 damage higher than 19. So you will have more instances of hitting anything from 19-19.5 (which all round down to 19) than if you were to hit just 19 and nothing more.
  20. Is it possible to trade across a river, roughly 3-4 blocks wide?
  21. It's not even black! I thought onyx was black  Then again fury is gray. It looks like beads of the dead. I'd rather get a fury -- it looks better and actually has some use.
  22. Anyone have a pic? (Equipped)
  23. How long would it take to get 2k Po8's?
  24. I saw a guy in a black top and bottom... I wasn't quite sure what it was All I remember was that it had 3 white stripes on the bottom of the pants and the ends of the sleeves Anyone know what this is? How much it costs? How to get it?
  25. Which is better in terms of... 1) damage 2) area effected Dragon hally's swipe or D2H's powerstab?
