Implications for the update
The F2P update may have several noticable effects on the F2P world. Here are some of my observations, please list some of yours too! 1) Trout and salmon fishing will go way up, since Barb village now has a tele point. 2) Something will definitely happen to the arrows market. Iron arrow drops are too common with minotaurs, and many people will train on mins. The supply will greatly increase :shock: 3) Lob use may go down in F2P, as people may fish at barb's before training, instead of dock fishing at Karamja. 4) Barb village and/or Varrock West, Edgeville will be much more populated. 5) Training will become a billion times faster :D 6) New types of hacking/scamming will occur, and the security stronghold will have to be updated accordingly. 7) Stronghold = cheap pray training :-k 8) Use of rune chain could possibly go up, assuming minotaurs will become a very popular training spot

4 July 2006 - Security and free-to-play update - the Strongh
The scepter breaks apart and you need to find the pieces again :lol: It's kind of stupid - you'll take more time finding the pieces to the scepter than the amount of time you save by tele-ing with the scepter. So I guess it's useless :| Actually nvm. Apparently you can get more than 1 scepter piece! :D

Random Occurence Theory
Of course, in general randoms are, well, random. There's no way to control what random you get (if its a general one). I have, however, made a couple of observations. 1) They only occur when your character is performing an action. 2) I ALWAYS (literally, 100%) get the teleportation matrix issue after training at ice warriors, teleporting to falador. 3) I'm cooking lobs to level 90 or 99. Each time I cook 26 lobs, I must light 1 willow. I almost never get any randoms while cooking, but only when lighting the logs. In addition, the random occurrence is much higher than normal when I'm lighting. :-k

Bank Management
Hrm. I've been somewhat discontent with the way that my bank is organized.. I always end up having to remove stuff (I'm F2P :shock: ) or move things around for the sake of organization HEY A BIRD JUST LANDED ON MY WINDOW. Here's a pic of my main's bank - have any suggestions? And while I'm on it - you guys mind posting your banks and explaining how they're organized? (I didn't post the bottom two lines since I don't organize those lines, and I keep random items there, like my beloved diamond ring :D) And while I'm on it - any possibility that I'm one of the richest 100 F2P? :lol: P.S. My apologies if this is the wrong board. I didnt think it would be in achievements since it talks about bank management, and the gallery also because it talks about management

...:::MEMBERS VS NON-MEMBERS:::... (100+ fighters)
I didn't see any clans... except a 10-person group of level 3s. So yeah, afraid of getting owned by a level 3 clan in a non-multi-combat area... :lol:

if you could have any RS item in real life...
I would have said party hat except I made one for my birthday last year #-o 1) Teleother, so I could send my detested enimies into a computer game. :twisted: 2) A lesser respawn. So I could ride him to school. Him? It? Her?

Best update in Runescape history!
3 things. 1) Removal of certs/addition of noting. Makes my quest to 99 cooking a heck of a lot easier. 100,000 lobs to 99 / 5 lobs per cert = 20,000 raw lobs to uncert + 20,000 cooked lobs to cert Assume .5 minute to uncert 25 raw lobs. (20,000 / 25) x .5 minutes = 400 minutes Assume .5 minute to cert 25 cooked lobs. (20,000 / 25) x .5 minutes = 400 minutes Total time: 800 minutes, or 13.33 hours. Probably more since it takes longer than .5 minute to uncert 2) The cook all feature. AFK cooking, FTW! :D 3) Bank pins. Now I can feel safe about my valuables :D

...:::MEMBERS VS NON-MEMBERS:::... (100+ fighters)
I'll probably go and be one of the highest level F2P (90). Although I won't bring anything. Since I pretty much know P2P will win.

Culinaromancer's chest - stock amount?
Does the culinaromancer's chest still stock so many things at 50 each? I.e., does it still have 50 chocolate bars, cheeses, etc.? I heard Jagex changed it. Thanks!

99 Cooking, f2p
Hm. I'm aiming to get to 99 Cooking using f2p methods. Right now, I'm about 75. That means roughly 100k more lobs to cook, or 80k swordies. I'm currently buying lobs at 235-240, about 15k at a time (I dont have much cash on hand), then cooking and selling at 205-215. That's roughly 30 gp lost for each lob, so the total cost for 99 fishing will amount to (100k)(30) = 3M, which is really cheap to get a 99 skill. I train at roughly 120k an hour. That means 1k fish cooked per hour. I have a few questions - 1) Is my current training method the most time and cost efficient? (Of course, it's slower than swords. But swords are harder to find and could cost a lot more. And I'm not willing to spend any more than 4M). 2) Is going into swordies a good idea? I'm pretty sure they're quite expensive, and hard to get. Thanks!

A Day in the Life of "Noob" [56k Warning!]
One day, I was bored. And what do you do when youre bored? You make noob accounts. Woohoo. So I made a noob, with the intention of a) using it for pking and B) re-doing the f2p quests as it's been a couple years since I did them. The experience was rather... interesting. I had level 20's calling me noob out of the blue (it was rather amusing, actually), a really tough time with cash (10k, which I would throw away on my main in an instant, became like more than life's worth :shock: ). I also remember this one level 4 that followed me for an indefinite period of time. I met him in Varrock, when he asked "Can someone take me to place to start Rune Mysteries Quest?" I thought it began in the wiz tower, and I was going there anyway so I told him to follow. Halfway there, I realized it started in Varrock, so I told him to go back (politely) and I gave him directions. He refused to go back, and said "bring me there I pay." He ended up offering 7 gp. Varrock was by now a couple minutes away, and plus I need to go to wiz tower anyway. I politely told him that for his own sake he should stop following me, but for some reason he wanted to annoy me? I dont know why. So he followed me as I finished over 3 quests. I was somewhat fed up, as he kept on repeating the phrase "bring i pay pzpz" (pz = plz?). Finally I messed around with ladders until he lost my position, and I ran (I swear it was quicker than normal...) to Doric's house. He threatened to report me (and I think he did) for "wasting his time" - in other words, he wanted to report me for him choosing to follow me around. Apparently that must be a serious offense, why else would he report me :lol: Another interesting event was pking. At level 11, I could hit 8. So basically I could 2-hit anyone. Some people, though, are just ridiculous - I joined a two-person team when they were fighting a 3-person team. All of a sudden the two-person team attacks me while we're fighting the 3-person team. I thought it was an accident until they started screaming "KILL WOOHOO". Odd thing was, they were still being attacked, and probably could have been killed, by the 3-person team while they were killing me. Some crazy PKing logic, there. I did learn some things. Pretty minute details though. -There are two penguins in runescape. Their alias is "The Thing" -Easter Eggs aren't bad for food. -Do lots of quests at once, you can do things for 5 quests in one visit to a city. -Stews heal 11 hp, and they only require 25 cooking. Good food for PKers, as you can get 25 cooking easily and making stew isnt too inconvenient. -You can survive the Blurite mining section of Knight's sword as a level 3. All you have to do is use the sides of the cave, and use the little mounds of ice to block you from warriors. -It's a really good idea to train on Tut. Island. Free stuff, everythings close together, and you can never die. -If you're low on cash, and you're a mage Pker, buy normal staffs at 15 gp or magic staffs at 200 gp. You can still do the autocast feature on both staffs. The normal staff's stats are only a slight bit off from the elemental staves, but hey they're 1.5k difference in price. Magic staves have same stats as elemental staves. -Fortunado is somewhat convenient for food. -There's a portrait in Draynor Manor whose eyes follow you around when you change camera angle. When you examine it says "Its eyes follow you around" :? Accomplishments: -32 Quest Points at Level 11 (I could have gotten it probably lvl 5 or something) -Started dragonslayer at Level 11 -1 to 29 smithing in a matter of 2 seconds. =D I love xp bonuses in quests. -Creating a mage pker Cause everyone loves to see dead men on the beach Comforting. Inside that ugly skin there is a beautiful feminine goblin. The penguins are so powerful they create jagex inconsistencies. The Thing has been revealed. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s attacking me. Devious. Hahaha. Romeo looks so drunk. Sounds like that old familiar phrase, eh? Owned. Share YOUR noob stories. :D Edit: there are lots of really interesting things in quests now. If I remember correctly Romeo and Juliet actually has 2 or 3 cutscenes :?

Yew cutting : fastest money maker skill in f2p? I think not.
Cs 1.6 ? yeah, I play with a small window and when I'm too busy with Runescape I camp. Some people are stupid, they don't see me if I camp at good places, they just walk by me without even noticing. Whenever I try to window-CS, my mouse always screws up. Any idea why...?

Guard Glitch
In addition to the Def Cabbages... I think there's something wrong with one of the guards in fally. Or maybe it was a one-time thing. I was walking around trying to find random things to attack to get 67 mage... and then I see a large brown npc, praying. And then I scrollover and it's a guard. I attack it and it starts firing arrows out of nowhere (I killed it too fast... sorry. Otherwise you would have seen random arrows everywhere :D ) Has anyone else seen this? And I'm sure I wasn't lagging.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Rares Market
I just thought of something - the "small" rares could end up like the party hats, with a period of exponential growth, i.e., since they are more "accessible" to average players the demand will increase. P hats will probably grow at the same rate until their range is like 500 mil - 2 bil, in which case demand would lower. Too bad history is the exact opposite if what I just said :lol:

RS v. other games
Who care's if its the best MMORPG? CS is the best FPS and SC is one of the best strategy games.. I'd rather play those if they're more fun. And plus I'd rather make more friends in R/L. exactly why people do it. not all people, but its a majority Bragging in RS is pointless, since RS is meaningless in RL. I'd rather spend my hours practicing violin, and then if I become a flamingly good violinist I can brag to the millions of violinists out there. And plus you can own and therefore brag a lot more in FPS.
