  1. Now think about people buying a day for $20. Big market to get to walk around looking cool with your shiny AGS...
  2. You know, I haven't heard of a single person getting anything other than coins with that stupid ring. Maybe it's mis-coded?
  3. Yeah, I've been thinking since item lending was released about how to fix it, because I knew Jagex is too pig-headed to ever take back an update. It wasn't until today that the perfect solution presented itself. Thank you for your support!
  4. After all the work Jagex has gone through to prevent RWT, I am appalled that they would allow such an obvious issue to slip through their awareness. Imagine this scenario: "Quick easy Godsword loans! $2/hour for Saradomin and Armadyl, $1/hour for Bandos and Zamorak! Buy a whole day and get $5 off!" Now, why would this work? Well, when you think about it, loaning an item is called a SERVICE. Goods and SERVICES are sold for money. With item lending, Jagex has effectively made it possible to give away an in-game service for no cost, which means that RWTers can EASILY, TRIVIALLY exploit it as a gaping loophole. Soon, mark my words, we will see bots returning to the game, buying big-ticket items and loaning them for real cash. How to solve this? Well, the first part of the fix was introduced today. The ability to trade item lends as an item is a good first step- now they need to go on the GE. That's right, ITEM LOANS NEED A GE VALUE. The nature of item lending makes this fantastically easy to implement- you put your Godsword up on the GE for loan for X number of hours, and somebody with an offer up to borrow that Godsword for the same number of hours for the same or higher amount gets it for that amount of time. You get the Godsword back at the end of the loan period. Unfortunately, "until either party logs out" loans would either need to be shortened drastically or removed. A five minute loan with a fifteen minute cooldown period would be difficult to exploit for RWT, and would serve the purpose of allowing a friend to try out an item without buying one. Longer loans, however, would only allow RWT to easily exploit it by repeatedly loaning and taking back the item. You can protest all you want, and say that you like being able to help out friends, but this needs to go away for the same reason free trade did. Item lending leaves the door wide open for RWT. This thread is on the RSOF under the quickfind code 15-16-481-57316510. I'm hoping to get the attention of a Jagex moderator.
  5. No, the girl specifically states revenant ghosts.
  6. I think the wording was something along the lines of "Revenants will be more generous with the items they drop" I was really hoping for a dragon, but I couldn't find one... One attacked me during the quest, but I can never find one when I want one #-o Someone did say they killed a dragon and got only coins, though.
  7. Ditch the Karil's top and wear black dragonhide. No, seriously, compare their stats. There is no reason AT ALL to pay extra for something that has less melee def. The most important place to have def is against the healers at Jad, and they melee. Plus, you don't have to repair dragonhide.
  8. The quickest bank to obelisk trip is Piscatoris if you've done the quest, or Tavelry if you haven't. When you reach 57, it's time to use a spirit Kyatt to teleport directly next to the Piscatoris altar (quest not required as far as I know), which can let you craft about 1.2k pouches in about 50 minutes (one pouch). I do not believe you need Watchtower to use Bogrog. I heard you can range the fire giants in the Chaos Tunnels. Not sure on that though. I think Vannaka would be the best master for you. He's in Edgeville dungeon.
  9. What's funny isn't not wanting to buy seeds, it's that you asked for the fastest method. The fastest method is drastically different if you're going to be wasting time collecting seeds instead of buying them.
  10. Yup. That's pretty impressive strength and ranged for F2P!
  11. So, what you want is the fastest way to 99 farming WITHOUT BUYING SEEDS? I guess vinesweeper would be your best bet.
  12. If the choice is between summoning and prayer, summoning all the way. Past 70 prayer is almost unnoticable, but you get new awesome stuff in summoning all the way up to 96 (arguably 99).
  13. I think you get 3 hits with a long to 4 hits with a scim.
  14. I would do it for the combat levels, but I find being high combat fun. It doesn't really make much difference in combat, you might get one or two extra prayer points per prayer pot dose...
  15. Another knight smited (though it was quite a quick kill), another 600gp. Edit: And ANOTHER knight (seeing a lot of those) smited for another 500ish gp. This is getting pretty tiresome.
  16. At level 113, I must say I'm not horribly surprised you can't kill an extremely tough level 126 monster meant to be as strong as a lvl 126 player. Smite is the level 52 prayer that drains the opponent's prayer for a quarter of what you hit. It's important for revenant hunting because they use protect item (Revs have been observed using prayer altars).
  17. Smited another knight for a whopping 913 gp.
  18. "And by heard I mean totally made up"
  19. Yup. I saw one J mod post- locking a spam thread cussing out Jagex. So we know they're reading the forums, but they aren't posting.
  20. Man, that was... unduly exciting. Got attacked by two knights and an orc in multi. I'm not usually one to give up and run, so I stood and fought trying to take down a knight until it became apparent that they could probably KO me. So I ran, decided to get out of the wildy and restock. Hit a knight on the way out and decided to kill it, which worked through luck. For my trouble, another 400ish gp. Smited all the way. This ring is awesome.
  21. Yes. I suspected that the use of the ring would be to replace smite, but that appears incorrect. I just smited an orc (after wandering around for 10 minutes looking for a revenant high enough level to attack), and it dropped 768 coins. Of course, I'm not sure I smited it long enough- it was pretty pathetically easy. Edit: Fun fact- teleblock prevents you from using Spirit of Summer portals. This includes portals where the connection is too weak- instead of the normal message, it just informs you of your teleblock. This implies that there IS a way through these portals... Edit 2: Killed another orc- got even less coins this time. That battle drew on longer, so lots of smite got in.
  22. Hmm... Well, looks like they definitely still need to be smited then. That's kind of exciting.
  23. It's not a bug... I got it on my second try. You're just doing it wrong. Wow, lots of cool stuff found since I did the quest and went to sleep! Time to get me 10k prayer exp! Also, has anybody killed any revs with the ring on yet?
  24. I suggest you go read my post, it explains everything. Well, I'm done testing the magic tree spot. Something I will never ever use, but it might be okay for some magic choppers. Now- bed. Tomorrow- Revenent hunting with the ring. I suspect the effect is to nullify their protect item effect that usually needs to be smited away, but I may be pleasantly surprised by some real drops.
  25. If you read my post, you would know that the logs turn into magic logs upon leaving the cursed realm.
