  1. Actually they're not. They'll only last as long as they are magnetic, so as long as the Earth exists. The true definition of a machina perpetua is that it cancreate energy, without the use of anything else, so not even the Earth.
  2. Bollocks. It's obvious that a machina perpetua can never exist if you know that: all gravity (so all negative energy) is equal to all positive energy, which is everything else, like heat, movement etc. If you keep this in mind, a machine that creates energy, creates gravity, and gravity can ONLY be the result of mass. You can also prove it is impossible by simply filling in the same stuff in Einstein's E=MC̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâò formula: you need to create more mass in order to create more energy. Which we cannot. All atoms here on Earth form the total matter we can use, and it can not be increased, except from outer space.
  3. Ah, I see. I already suspected someone posting in your name. Or you being schizo, one witty side and one well, less witty side :

How very mature of you. Now, if you would kindly put the petty flaming aside and leave us to talk about football? Quite. Football is football and not american football. Seems like few or no people at all replied to my question if someone still often plays. So does anyone play? And if so, at a decent level or just near the local pub with friends?
  5. Haha, I guess you came up with this idea after we tried to play age? :) Well, I would've sent you home crying anyway, so it's good we couldn't play after all  Very nice idea Api! You may wanna add TAO, a game that requires thinking. And a lot of it should you wanna win against experienced players. edit: Oh woops, seems like you already added it. How could I forget you rule in it as well?
  6. Again, this is the one we have to guess.
  7. I would need a dozen of them just to put my favourite music on it.
  8. You're...you're asking us whether a portable music player is better than a music codec? Yah, I'd also like to know the answer. And now that we're on it: is Ronaldinho better than Old Trafford? edit: stop reading my mind Anesthesia
  9. Well what did you expect? That ze ladies would say: "oh YES! I'm extatic about guys that bring me chocolates and flowers, even if they cheat on me all the time." :-s
  10. I'm learning something new every day on TIF. I hope you already figured out other perils in life? Or is it learning by doing only for you Kayla? :P Lol. I have figured out many perils in life such as... You can't put tape on your feet and walk up the wall. I tried to do that when I was three. tee-hee, cute :) Imagine if it were possible though :
  11. You've killed a man Kashi???? You are SO lucky you live in the US. Even if that guy would've been a serial killing rapist, you'd still get 15-20 years here in Belgium for that.

Ever had sunburn before? (same concept as a burn, only you know...worse...) Ever put Aloe Vera Gel on it and felt that "omg YES!" comfort? End of story. Things were put on the Earth for us to use them. If it works, it works. I've had 3rd degree burns all over my face once, so yeah. I've had burns all right. But I've never put that on burns. I'll think of it next time something stupid happens to me.
  13. Uhm, it's still Ford's turn, unless you can guess the cover zach. By the way, that's a Zeppelin cover, forgot its name though.
  14. Girls liking guys who play the guitar, what's up with that? ;) Nearly every guy here has ever had a guitar, and I never intended to hop on the bandwagon there. Besides, how can a sweaty drummer with his t-shirt on his shoulder giving the best of himself not be sexy? :
  15. Aaah! Great! One year before they were stolen I was in Oslo visiting the museum. My dad already was amazed to see such a great collection of art (not just the Munchs) without serieus protection. I'm very happy they're back. Let's hope they're not to severely damaged.
  16. Well, I was about to direct you at the many instrument-topics there used to be, but somehow they have indeed been erased. I've posted like a dozen times I play the drums, have been for 6 years.
  17. The thing is: we don't die that fast. Even a severe car accident is only fatal in the minority of the cases. Humans aren't that weak, we are built to survive, like all animals. But the problem often is our weak skin and our heavy head. Our skin is easily cut through, so we can easily break several bones because our skin barely stops anything. And then there's our head: when exposed to many negative G's, its weight shoots forward, which often snaps the neck, instantly killing us. That's one of the reason car accidents are dangerous. Drowning is a lot harder than you might think: it often takes more than 5 minutes under water for an adult to suffocate, we can hold our breath much longer than usual when we really need to. In fact, we can do a lot we never thought of being able to when we're trapped.

What the? You guys believe in shaman tricks to heal burns? Just use flamazine, or another tube of anti-burn gel.
  19. Of course it's not good. I'll quote the almighty Blackadder here: Atomic weapons in different nations will not only cause a cold war effect, a lurking thread ready to explode, but these days it will also be the target of the much more professional terrorists. And even if terrorism was out of the game, this cold war might just evolve into a real war of unseen scale. I say no to all weapons, from daggers to a-and h-bombs. But I'd already be very satisfied if the heavy artillery would be gone. Though I of course highly agree with the horrible effects of atomic bombs, they actually are a great means of defense. A threat that is really frightening is better defense than any anti-rocket shield can ever be. If you had the choice of fighting a rabid wolf or a little bunny, which one would you choose? The first will kill you or at least cause your relatives and yourself severe damage, the latter will harm your crops at best. An a-bomb (and an entire army for that matter) is useful. But only if it's a threat, and when it's not used.
  20. I'm listening to my new CD of Sufjan Stevens, the B-sides of Illinois. Hardly B-sides if you ask me; even if Sufjan would bring out F-sides it would still be a great album.

You think that sucks !? Imagine having Gym at eight in the morning ! Hopefully I can get this switched with Geography or something .. There are some classes that should be banned from taking place that early. Math and gym are those two classes. I had math, then gym in 10th grade and I failed math horribley (had never ever failed anything before that...I got B's on average) because I just wasn't awake enough to know * my teacher was talking about...And gym right after that wasn't as bad, but still...Are you honestly throwing a ball at my head at 9 in the morning? No wonder people do school shootings. :P I always loved gym in the morning. That'll wake you up, something like Latin in the morning, now that's bad news.
  22. Well, if I can help: a friend of mine got addicted to WoW for one and a half year, gave up everything he had; his girlfriend, his friends (he barely saw us anymore), he was rude against everyone around him all day long, skipped school from time to time... It was pathetic. I told him he was becoming a mindless zombie and so did a few other friends. That made him realise those computer games are a true waste of time, when you eventually quit you'll regret those hundred of hours you wasted weren't spent in a better, useful way. So what I would do: either consider sticking with RS, but I would strongly advise you to think where it'll get you. Perhaps it's better to quit all together, or play a CD-ROM game from time to time, which doesn't take up that much of your time.
  23. You've never heard of Blue oyster Cult? What is there that makes me suppose to know them from?
