  1. its just a matter of creation and how the world works. Does god know everything we are going to do? did god create us? or was it all scientific. they sort of do conflict with eachother. Or did God create science since science is merely understanding truths about the natural world? Precisely what I believe. You believe in the Big Bang? That's cool, I believe in the Big Bang too - I just so happen to believe it is more logical that an intelligent supreme being created the Big Bang rather than some raondom spontaneous explosion causing a perfectly functioning complex universe. Again, the Bible is not a science textbook; so don't put it against a science textbook and say science wins - it's like comparing apples and oranges and saying the orange wins for the most vibrant orange colour. Well, I think the Big Bang actually is just one of the countless Big Bangs there ever have been. I like to believe that there never was a beginning and there never will be an ending to the universe. And with 'universe' I don't just mean all stars, planets and other matter, I mean everything there is. It just seems very right that whenever a galaxy is formed, thousands of the trillions of planets are planets that are suitable for life, whether it is intelligent, barely evolved or just single cellular creatures. We live on one of the most miraculous planets there are and because of the perfect harmony between life and the Earth (well, we're ruining it, but eventaully, the harmony will be restored) life has been able to evolve to what we are now. I have a lot of respect for everyone that holds on to true and good beliefs, but I always sigh whenever people claim God created the Earth a few thousand of years ago. I know you don't Insane, you believe in pretty much the same thing as I do, because I too am confident that a higher power exists. But how can people ever be scientists when everything is determined by God anyway? One might just as well say that everything I type here is planned in God's great schedule. Which I seriously doubt. Right, God? btw, beautiful new sig Not!
  2. Yeah, I've heard from a friend who's studying in Philly, that not only subsciptions for college are out of the roof, but books also costs loads more. I think 350̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì a year will get me all of my books, and that's about 20 of them. Your books cost about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã12 each?! The books I had to buy for uni cost about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã30-̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã40 each. Also I thought that everything cost more here in UK comapred to USA? (not sure about Europe) Yeah, and 12̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã is a lot. Most of our books are boring monotone books with only plain text, written by our own professors and produced by our college label, that's why they're so cheap. They also rarely ever feature photos, drawings or even graphs. Last year we used an American course book for Marketing. It was 1150 A4 pages, but large illustrations every couple of pages and a lot of case studies. It costed about 30̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã, which we all found dreadfully expensive. A course with the same information produced by our professors would be a lot less fun to study, but it would be on 300 pages, no illustrations or cases and it'd cost around 7-10̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã.
  3. The publishers must be thinking all their dreams have come true. They will re-publish the books which students will buy because it will be an updated version and in the process will make lots of money. And of course, in the US it will cost us >3 times as much to buy a book that erased a planets name as other countries :P Yeah, I've heard from a friend who's studying in Philly, that not only subsciptions for college are out of the roof, but books also costs loads more. without the sounds effects and Simpson/Family Guy songs: little less than 21k songs; 3.9min avg; with them 3.85min avg. So barely any difference at all. I obviously have more short pop songs than you do..
  5. Every period of agony turns out to be funny in the end.
  6. yeah plain stupid, the word planet has a defenition now, and pluto do not satisfies to the defenition -.- Now it is as it should have always been. If you take definitions with too much salt, you can just as well call yourself a chimp.
  7. :-s Peace 'n Love peeps...

Yeah, I've got a lot of 64kbps files. My avg tracklength is only about 3.5 minutes because I've got a load of Homer and Family Guy-quotes and music in a map. But I also have a lot of live sets which are between 30 and 200 minutes each :-k
  11. I must warn you: Pluto is the most cold-hearted Planet of them all. It probably doesn't care we care about it. Emo planet. Nah, Emos pretend they don't care but silently cry in their rooms after they've been hurt and decide to write it in their diaries.

  13. if they do that, they have to add if i recall correctly 17 more planets. so instead of having 9 like we did as of yesterday, we can have 8 or 26 (at least, could be more). they were wise and chose the 8 option. seems like they made a subcategory for pluto and those objects, which i didnt know they were going to do. Exactely. It's pretty odd though, I thoughr Pluto was far bigger than the other planet-candidates
  14. har-har

  16. Can you guys stop trying to outwit eachother? It's truly pathetic.
  17. Well, I just try to do what I like and what I like people doing to me. There's a bunch of people here with 'spread the love!' in their sig or avatar. That's pretty much my live's philosophy. btw, good topic Kayles :)
  18. For some reason I'm really touched by that. Most people dont go out of their way to tell their parents how great they are and I think thats really cool to do so  Well, I'm 20, I'm proud of my parents and no longer ashamed of them, like every boy in its puberty would be :)
  19. Well, I just sent a message to my parents, who are on a holiday, that they're great parents, whatever happens. They've been fantastic, in everything they've done and in everything they do, even though I used to be a pain in the [wagon]. Since my brother died, they feel incredibly insecure about themselves, and me and my sister always try to convince them they're fantastic when they have one of those down periods. I know my father is still very proud of this particular message I sent him a year or so ago. It was a bit of a poem for him, and whenever I happen to be around when he's talking about me with his friends or our family, I hear him reading it :) It's so easy to please people you like, yet so few people are aware of that or are too lazy to do the little effort it takes.

  21. http://arenascape.net Just making a little publicity for Silvy's game here, it's the foundation of this entire site, so you guys better play it :) Yeah, you noobs, play this rockin' game. (Jk about noob part lol) I can't agree more. Except I disagree with the jk part
  22. Yeah, SoaD is one of those bands that's a lot more than just another metal (good) band. The Toxicity album drove my parents mad when I was still living at home. That's always a plus on my music rating. I'm listening to the calm and serene Pretty In Black album from the Raveonettes btw.
  23. Sure, why not. It's one of the lesser horrible movies in its genre.
  24. There are many good singer-songwriters that sing about their believes. Sufjan Stevens sings a lot about his faith, which is Christianity. Then there's a load of artists who don't sing about the Lord, but about what they believe in, what they experience as their religion. Almost all older generation singer-songwriters had some songs with a religious touch, of which there are hundreds of very influential and good songs.
