  2. http://www.leukespellen.be/spellen/xiao ... iao_2.html Much more fun ^^
  3. Why is the use of those words 'normal' in Tarantino movies, but not in R 'n B music? What's the difference? Tarantino movies: cursing for obvious reasons (someone died, coffee spilt, shoes got dirty.. everything I'd shout for as well) rap: cursing because it's hot e.g.: Of course everything here has been replaced by other words or a *, but you get the point. @Api: Myeah.. Well age is worth it
  4. Like Dusqi said, the European countries need to gather in order to mean something in the world's politics these days. 100 years ago Europe, and especially the UK was the largest world power. But now it seems that previously underdevelopped countries with those immense number of inhabitants gain a lot more influence. Europe, with its 350 million inhabitants does a good job defending its colours by standing together. I like the EU as an economical union, as well as a political force. I don't think the EU reacts bad to the challenges it faces and it deals rather well with the new countries in it. Of course there are a few things I dislike; the greater our power, the smaller the chance of poor nations to increase their wealth; the bureaucratic slump, extravagant wages etc.
  5. Lol, how original : I'm happy you're not one of the thousands of people who take a screenshot whenever they see the number 1337 and post it.
  6. Too bad I can't see it, I've exceeded my download limit But anyway, as you may expect from my side, I'm against cencorship of any kind. The only thing that's bad about it, is that young kids think it's cool to use those words, even though it's really inappropriate in most ways it's used. An example of over-cussing are all rnb things these days, an example of normal use of censored words are the Tarantino movies.
  7. Because we're all so damn special that it's nothing big here, yeah I agree :P Nice coins btw Lode, my father still has one of the first versions of the 'Ecu', the original name for the Euro, he worked on the concept so he had one of those coins in '97.
  8. Indeed, it's ridiculous that people think suicide is based on a single fact or argument. That kid from RS that commited suicide no doubt had many other problems too, likely combined with a depression. If that parent thinks it's because she couldn't watch BB anymore, then I doubt she's consulted a psychiater, or a regular GP. Exactly. The media loves to sensationalise. It doesnt matter If TV, in the end, would drive someone to do that there is something wrong with our society (In general) You don't get it; TV didn't do that, her psyche did. She was most likely depressed and that must've been one of the many arguments with her mother, perhaps tipping the balance for her.
  9. It's True That We Love One Another - the White Stripes
  10. *Daan jives his behind off* Now give me a tango, you hot latino. 8-) This is getting lame. :P Yeah, perhaps we shouldn't spam this much. But spam and DANCE!
  11. question: when playing your personal radio, is it like downloading the songs? Or does it find the songs on your computer? Because I have a low download limit here, and I wouldn't like to get past it too much.
  12. Ok, I dare you to... do the boogie-woogie! \ *How2PK Boogie-Woogies* All night long baby! Now gimme a twist! \ now let's JIVE! (perhaps our immature posts tell somethibng real about our age, Daan ;))
  13. I'll dare you, this is my list of what's in my rock-map, only the famous bands >90s: Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Autolux, Ayreon, Blur, Bush, Body Count, Deftones, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, Grandaddy, Greenday, HIM, Hard-Fi, Kaiser Chiefs, LP, Manu Chao, Marylin Manson, Muse, Nirvana, Oasis, Offspring, Pearl Jam, Placebo, Presidents of the USA, QotSA, Rage Against the Machine, Real Mckenzies, Ska-P, Soulwax, Soundgarden, the Cranberries, The Editors, The Gorillaz, the Kooks, the Pixies, the Raconteurs, the Real McKenzies, the RHCP, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Streets, The Strokes, The Verve, The Von Bondies, The White Stripes, Zita Swoon. The other bands in that map are pretty unknown outside Belgium. Good metal bands in my map: Tool, Machine Head, Metallica, SOAD, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Rammstein. I'm not much of a metal fan, so that's all. I'll just shut up about post-rock or soft-rock or you'll hate me. What do you think about those bands, or the ones you know from the list, then?
  14. I keep getting 'undefined'; even though I have very clear pictures of myself here. I even tried a picture of Bush I have, and it ends up undefined as well. Even Cḫ̩̉̉ isn't recognized, fools. :( edit: this is stupid; I can't even see the samples. It always gives me a screen with 'undefined'.
  15. Do what in every topic? I post once or twice every few days. I'm glad I'm noticed so easily. Necro means that not a lot of positive feedback comes from your hands. And it's a shame SOAD splits. I liked every one of their albums, also their last one(s). I'm not one of those people that only think old-skool stuff is good.
  16. the golden age of grotesque - Marilyn Manson
  17. I'll make that the n̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð 4 replier on your post Ben. I just made your day ;) As you know, I fully agree with you. G'night!
  18. I find it odd that you make the same mistake as I did. I assumed you knew barely anything about something you know a lot from. You think of me of the average HawaÃÆÃâÃâïan t-shirt and shorts wearing tourist, taking pictures of poor people while thinking "what a beautiful country". You don't know me at all, nor do I know you. But anyway, I'm sorry if I offended you. The one thing I'd like to point out, is that I said I classify Indonesia and the Philippines as extremely poor countries, but in Indonesia, despite a lack of medical care, education and so many other things, the people we met were living a rather good life. There are of course exceptions, the very poor, who starve to death, but those people are on the streets in 'civilised' countries as well. Thomas, my friend whom I travelled to Indonesia with, is born in Jakarta, but he was adopted when he was 3 months old. The people there were of course a bit jealous to see that 'one of them' was able to wear fancy clothes, get a very good education, live in a nice place and above all, be wealthy, for that of course is the most important difference. But they were all enthousiastic people that enjoyed life in a whole different way then we do. From what I've seen, they take pleasure in listening to music, watching TV etc. as well as we do, but the atmosphere is completely different to ours. Watching television isn't a solo-occupation, it's still a mass-event, where an entire family sits gathered in front of the screen. I often saw girls singing an American song on the radio with their friends. The men went out fishing at 5AM together and when they came back, their wives were waiting for them to cook the fish, while those same men sold some of their catch, together. Anyway, we live in a very closed society, a lot of people spend their time at home, alone, while they don't, because they don't have the luxury to do so. But that doesn't mean life's worse; or at least it does not mean so to me. There are things that are vital to what we call a good life that they haven't got. Important things, like all the ones you mentioned. No security, a lot of crime, little health care, little education, barely any carreer opportunities in life, if any. But still I don't think their lives are miserable or even worse than ours. It's, like I said, different. Perhaps you hated the circumstances in the Philippines, most likely I know too little about it, but I'm convinced there are a lot of people in the western countries that have worse lives, as long as you don't compare our standards to theirs. Entirely true, but I do have eyes.
  19. Yeah, since I've first talked to you, I have already ordered 5 different Che t shirts. And I reckon you also downloaded Canon in D major on an electric guitar? tihi! owned Api :P
  20. Almost nothing is worth dying for. I value my life more than anything else in this world, except maybe the lives of my closest family members and very, very close friends.
  21. Yeah, plus it's a bit of a cheap rip-off of my cover game. I'm such a trendsetter.
  22. People who live in developed countries do have the better life. No we don't. Why is suicide rate higher in the rich countries? Why on earth would our lives be better?? Because we have a thousandfold of luxury goods compared to poorer nations? What are the standards for you to say such a non-truth? Materialism? Patriotism? You probably have never ever been to a poorer country, so please don't say something as stupid as that. I've been to India, Indonesia, Marocco, Turkey and every European country apart from some eastern European countries and the one thing that struck me is that poorer people often have a happier life. They don't worry about so much as we do, they have a lot of time to spend with eachother and they don't fear eachother. Many of us are actually afraid of people, afraid of being socially engaged. But poorer cultures still have a group-feeling that's worth so much more than our wide-screen televisions, our i-Pods and our luxurious houses. I'm sure you're a good guy Shadow, but don't talk bs like that; it's just not true. Sure, they have their problems, but so do we. They have different lives, not worse lives, unless they're extremely poor, or at war.
  23. Yes I do. Violence does not pose a solution to anything. Oh, and if you're so anxious to prove yourself, fight someone your own size. How you would scream if a taller guy would do that to you.
  24. Read: those of us who think our way of life is best. If Bush was really free then someone could run up to him, kick him in the goolies and there would be no repercussions. No one in a civilised society is totally free and it is just a case of which freedoms you value most. Such pontificating pisses me off. And it doesn't mean I commend acts of violence to others, including 'terrorism'. Depends on your definition of freedom I guess. Locke definitely believed that the idea of freedom and liberty encompass the idea of not having the license to do whatever you want. That is, freedom in itself contains the notion that you can't do unjust action towards another - you don't have license over them as they don't have license over you. Maybe we aren't free - I'm not trying to say we are, but people have attempted to define freedom and liberty for years and no one can agree. So depending on your definition, we are free. >Perfect freedom can't ever exist without it turning out to be anarchy. We need laws, the problem is that some of them are dubious, and can be interpreted in many ways, often wrong ways, that result in wrong juridical decisions. The other side of the constitutional organization is that there are too few laws; with every change to our community come new ways to commit crimes. Internet for example brought hundreds with them, so we needed new laws for it. I'm sure there still are a lot of loopholes in this part of the law, but eventually they'll disappear. What I'm trying to say is that humanity cannot be in control without certain standards and especially values that both result in laws.
