  1. Seems like you've made a new fan Futurama, I really love those songs, jungle-trance alike, both genres I love so keep it up :)
  2. Amen to that Ghost! I'd also like to add that immature people (I don't use 'minors' on purpose here; some 15 year olds are more mature than some adults will ever be) are very much influenced by media, trends and friends or family. If it's a custom in your family to eat fish on fridays then you'll choose to eat fish on fridays if you had the choice unless you loathe your family or fish :) If it's hip to eat ice cream for some reason, so your friends do it, then you'll often want to do the same, even if it's unhealthy, much like the entire smoking phenomenom. So there we have it; the role of the government is to make the right decisions for everyone. Some suffer the consequences of the errors others make (thieves, frauds,...) and some do more than they should compared to what they get from the government (people who pay much more taxes than others, some don't pay tax at all). This measure of the government is for the good of all children, it'll discourage overweight and encourage thinking about your food. Perhaps it's even good for sports.
  3. Yeah, I loved gym classes. The only part that I hated in gym was the running part; we had to run 10 kms (about 6 miles) and I can tell you that for some one who doesn't sport that is torchure! But when you don't give in to the pains and the nausea, you'll get there, exhausted but damn satisfied. In general I loved every moment I was in school, wonderful teachers and great fellow students.
  4. History always was my favourite class. Well no, actually physical education (err, sports) was but that doesn't really count as education now does it? :)
  5. Finally Bush does something good. Now the only thing he should do is give that 'lost' food to African children
  6. Oh no, an auchie! Medic! Man down!
  7. Sad but oh so funny. Give me a pic of that 'Sad but oh so funny'
  8. I'd destroy all anvils so that no one can smit anything again, dramatically increasing weapon prices. Too bad r2hs aren't the best weapon anymore
  9. Banned for makeing me think that your siggie didn't work (awesome sig btw :))
  10. Same here, but I actually enjoyed all of my school years. College is fun but so different, you get to know a lot of new and often more interesting people but classes are always with such a large number of students that it gets really impersonal. Pity because I assume everyone is interesting.

 So that's how much you care about your girlfriend eh? I'm surprised women can fall in love with people like you.
  12. Well, I've always been a social person, a little bith of a blabbermouth even, which is kinda strange for a guy. But I had this period in my youth club when I really hated going there, I just forced myself to keep goinbg which I'm very thankful for now. I was 14 then, 5 years ago, at the same time I loved going to school, I was actually always rather happy that the weekends were over, all of my close friends were there.

My brother commited suicide 2 years ago. That's why I of course started thinking why he did it. He was much like me, I could tell what he was thinking just by the look on his face. And yet, now, 2 years later, I'm a happy 19 year old student, as was he when he did it. That made me realise depression isn't just something people fake to get attention, I knew my brother had his down-periods like every person has but I would have never expected he was depressed, let alone that he would have suicidal thoughts. No one that knew Stefaan well knew anything about his depression, typically him, he didn't want to bother people with 'his' sickness, 'his' problems. He would solve it his way and no one would have to worry.
  14. wow... looks promising to say the least!

Yeah well, so do I. And yet you've got to understand depressed people; they don't just 'kill themselves'. They always carefully plan what they're going to do, how and when. And it often takes months, years even before they actually take their first and possibly final attempt to kill themselves. It's not without a reason that people take a decission as big as that you know. Imagine you're so down, so incredibly sick of everything you do, the same things happening over and over again, same misery in the entire world, but worse, the same misery in your own life, that you think it'd be better for the few people you care about that you're not there anymore? That they'd be better off without you at all? And you don't want to carry on the stupid life you were leading, you'd rather put an end to all of your suffering. Then what would you do? I'd most likely talk about it, eventually just think: "yeah, thats life, I'll just have to make the best of it and have as much fun as possible". But there are heaps of people who can't talk about it, just because they're too shy, too modest r whatever the reason may be. Combine this growing frustration of life with a disease inside your brain that slowly smutters your feelings about all that is good and you have yourself a depressed person. Those people shouldn't be called weak or whatever you want to call them, they're sick and need treatment, treatment from their environment or treatment from a psychiater.
  16. Yeah, because fighting gunfire with more gunfire always does the trick  That's what some one like him would do, I hope walle is a little smarter. What he really said here: We obviously have a case of severe immaturity and lousy dutch too. I didn't even translate the last part correctly, it's a little over the edge. edit: just noticed a bunch of translations have already been posted, oh well. @Gamerr: yeah, dutch children tend to think they're cool if they swear. I tend to think some one's cool if they don't.

I truly hope one day you may feel the pain of a depression yourself. If it's true what Maarten did then it can never be because of something as silly as a RS scam, even though it may have been everything he had in RS. He most likely was depressed already, had severe problems in his real life, perhaps family problems as well, and now that his 'best' friend scammed him it must've become too much for him. But one fact can never lead to suicide, it's always a combination of multiple factors, the disease we know as depression often being the most important one. Why can't people see that depression is just a disease inside some1's brain? Damn them, I wish they'd be confronted with it some day so that they can stop treating those people as mentally weak idiots.
  18. Yeah, I was thinking of them too. Birgisson has this childish female-alike voice and Bellamy just puts all his passion into his voice, but he hasn't got that much of a unique voice IMHO.
  19. Brian Molko (Placebo)
  20. Yeah, I'm coming to get you Mercifull! I can tell that orange blanket is from a certain shop that has only sold 4 of them in the UK. And when I find out which the people are who have em I'll track you down  All right, so far for my criticism on the no-room-pics. The movie I really want to see this year? Hmmm, that'll have to be both MIP III and especially Gladiator II, let's hope it's not a horrible remake of the first and let's also hope it's a little less hollywood. Edit: whoa, just found out there are a few more interesting movies: Ice Age 2: The Meltdown and Borat  Who in Europe does not love Sacha Baron Cohen?
  21. Yeah, I've gotta go with Nadril on this one. If you've got something to share with us, do it properly and add some more comment girl. Like: how did you discover the band and what good connotations do you have with which songs? Personally I don't really like them, just because for the childish reason that I think the lead singer is one of those guys who desperately wants to prove he's a man with feelings, and I don't like them ;)
  22. Lol, you guys both posted almost exactely the same comments on the same time. And I've seen Se7en, only just recently. I even made a post about it somewhere in this forum too. It was good, very good even but still I think it's predictable and it doesn't really qualify for detective either. Oh, I've made the text white, most ppl use a whitey background here I assume so they'll just have to highlight it to read it.
  23. Well, I'm pretty fond of a good movie that requires us using those grey cells we call a brain, so I love a good detective movie. And a good detective should not be predictable, obviously, but it should also contain a story that leaves you wondering and stunned with a certain feeling of respect for the person it's all about. And most movies don't have that; they're more or less predictable or are so damn far-fetched that it simply isn't realistic anymore. After watching The Usual Suspects I couldn't be more satisfied; IMHO this is the perfect detective movie. *spoiler alert!* It took me until the very last few minutes before I began to understand who really was Keyser Soze. I figured it out when Roger was asked why he didn't save Keaton when he could. He hesitated and starting then, the story he hung up began to show its flaws. I loved seeing the cop baffled we he too realises that this cripple 'dumb' man Roger performed to be, actually turns out to be the genius Keyser is. *here endeth the spoilers* I loved the movie, from the first minute till the last. If there's anyone who can tell me there's more of these great detective movies, please don't hesitate telling me. Such movies are the ones that make me the filmfreak I am.
  24. I wish... Naa, I'll be there, but only mentally ;)
  25. Well I just got the album, yes, from the internet since it's not available in shops yet, but I'll buy it as soon as it comes out. I loved it, it was Placebo the way I like them for the full 100%. I especially enjoy Broken Promise, probably because it's ft. Michael Stipe, his low voice adds a special something to the casual Placebo songs. How do you guys like the new album? Even though Black Market Music is still quite a bit better IMHO, this is a very good album.
