  1. They will never stop rising, should he never sell it? I'm positive they will once drop incredibly much; or they might become untradeable, like the 'new' set of rares. I still have 60 mask sets (yes, that's a lot; I bought all masks I could when they were dropped) but I probably am going to sell them this year; I fear Jagex will do somehting that decreases its value dramatically. I sold 2 of my masks and I got a small fortune for them; I bought 25k deaths, 40k chaos and 150k air runes with it and I still have a few millions left. Exactely, or with many rares :P
  2. I'm Belgian so my French is pretty good. I just went to Geneva with some friends; it's Switserland but the people over there mostly speak French, it was no problem switching from my usual Dutch tongue to French. Aren't here any others from France itself?
  3. Yep, aurera borealis, that's the sweet stuff. Aren't those particles of electric stuff from space that for some reason get that beautiful colour because of the magnetic fields in the north and the south of our planet? I believe it was something like that.
  4. ahhh.. i better go to bed, 6 AM lol, damn holidays.
  5. Yeah, my sister has her master of psychology and she had to know what she had to do when testing somebody's IQ. An accurate test takes up to 6 hours of questioning, performed by specialised people only. I did the first part of the test and it already took 2 hours; it was fun though, just doing some puzzles and associating stuff with eachother  Oh, by the way: Clinton's IQ is NOT 182 lol. Also note that IQ isn't measured on just mathematical faces; that's why you can be the math wiz but still score lower than average.
  6. You don't mean enough explosions to make the Earth a floating marble incapable of supporting life eight times then? Because my point is that it's unecessary to destroy it 8 times. The amount needed to destroy it once, for each country is enough  Yeah well, the Cold War was all about bragging; the country with the most firepower is the coolest :) And Bari; I dunno what exactely happened 65 mio years ago (since I'm only 19 punny years old) when that meteorite crashed on Earth, all I know are the consequences. And they weren't that aweful that the Earth was a piece of crap  Remember, 5% of the animals did survive tens of years of bitter cold, barely any sunlight and as good as no food. Not to mention everything that happened when that thing crashed down. This is what happened when 5000y ago, a meteorite half the size of a footbal field landed in Arizona, you probably also know the famous crater there: http://www.xs4all.nl/~carlkop/meteorcr.html Keep in mind that the meteorite that hit the Mexican bay was 6 miles (!) in diameter; the rock that hit arizona is nothing compared to that. And yet, even if a monster like that hit the Earth, much survives and the Earth is as good as new after a few hundred years, plenty of vegetation will be back, animals will once again flourish and multiply. That's why I think that even the fragile species that we are would survive a nuclear war. We're creative enough to find solutions to almost everything.
  7. This guy now lies at the bottom of the sea with a rope tied to a boulder round his neck
  8. Lol, so true sabre. But then again, people on these fora are supposed to like quarelling and discussing stuff we won't ever get confronted with anyway eh? :D
  9. There 'are' and there 'were' aren't quite the same thing. Besides, you don't actually need to glass a planet to make it uninhabitable. First of all, there's the nuclear fallout. It travels quite far, and in the kind of doses caused by a few good sized nuclear strikes, it'll be lethal. Second, there's the nuclear winter. Throw enough dust into the atmhosphere, block out the sun and we'll be freezing our rears off while the plantlife dies because they need sunlight for photosynthesis. It goes downhill from there. We're all quite lucky someone with some ounce of intelligence was on duty that time. I know what happens when serious explosions occur; basically a large number of A-bombs equals a series of volcano eruptions. And one thing can be the trigger of many others. But Barihawk, destroying the world is something men can't do, at least not yet. We may be able to wipe out all human life, yes, but if a meteorite the size of the one that destroyed 95% of all life 65million years ago can't seriously scratch the Earth, no man-made bombs can. And this meteorite equals several millions of A-bombs (and yes, H-bombs are about 5 times more powerful...), so I don't believe we're yet able to make the Earth explode, not by far.
  10. Indeed! I wonder if Europe would get blown apart as well. An a-bomb can do massive damage but you would need tens of thousands of them to annihilate a continent and I seriously doubt there are that many a-bombs at all.
  11. Aw man, don't do that. I've heard countless stories from my friends about guys who asked "what's your favorite color" on those awekward phone conversations. It doesn't work well. But eveything else Knives said, go for I guess. Just try not to make it awekward for yourself, or it will be for her too. Lol, yeah, it reminds me of a sketch of a comedy show here in Belgium. This guy is thinking 'So, let's start with a catchy opening phrase' and tells the girl about how nice the weather is  . Not a good opener. If you ask questions about her, do it in a subtle way, don't just say 'Hi Cathy, so tell me, what's your favourite dish?' :?
  12. Indeed; and I estimate it's around 2000 billion to be honest. I myself still have 60 mask sets, 4p hat sets and a few more pumpkins, easter eggs etc from the time I still often played RS, 4 years ago. I honestly can't believe that if I sell it all I have 1% of the total cash amount. Something like .2% would be more realistic :)
  13. Now that's what I call a well-structured opinion
  14. That sounded kinda deprecatory, as if you said "It's one of the top 50 rock bands from Guatemala" Lol, yeah, I meant that Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and of course Nirvana were all from Seattle, I can even add a few more good bands. Seattle really is the homebase of many great grunge- and other rockbands, there must besome thing in the water over there that makes people especially good artists

I can't believe some people don't know Daft Punk :-? I'm almost as amazed as when people asked me 'who the hell Muse were'. Anyway, I only have the Homework cd from them but it definately is great, I also adore their cartoon, anime-esque music videos in several of their songs.
  16. Teardrop from Massive attack could last an hour longer IMO, that song is just so calming and the evolution of the song is just perfect. In this World from Moby also is a song that could last a lot longer if it were possible.
  17. Yeah, this guy is really looking forward to add the record to my collection ^^ Pearl Jam, one of the 4 major bands from Seattle, home of grunge. If you don't like Pearl Jam, you don't like music ;)
  18. In Belgium we have a lot of youth clubs that promote their local artist, that's why there's so many (good) bands here. We also have quite a number of music competitions; like Humo's PopPoll; which is the main launching pad for rock bands. But to get in there you'll need to be pretty damn good too ;) Don't you guys in England have the same stuff? I know that England is the source of all good music so it can't be too hard to get good music off to a good start, can it?
  19. Because he tried to reach the moon by climbing a tree, unfortunately the tree wasn't tall enough. What is the root of all evil?
  20. I don't exactely see what's wrong with jdprs's posts apart from the fact that they're a little weird :P Anyway, a little creative thinking can't harm anyone, can it? I thought the Tom Cruise pic was kinda funny So... to continue: A magical chill-out potion to calm those fighting men and you guyscould use it too
  21. Lmao, I didn't even take the effort to read the posts but now I just did; it's... well something between sad and hilarious: No kidding? I think only about, say, 100% of the people throughout the world have been listening to music ever since they were born. Seriously, please learn how to spell first, try not to flame others for having an opinion and stop making silly posts.
  22. Heh, funny. It's even better to make steel bars out of them and sell those bars; they're 2 coal+1iron ore, give you smithing xp and they sell for much more than just a bunch of iron ores.
  23. You know, I'd say 'why bother?' until I heard that several people were banned for saying yahoo! because it's publicity... Jagex seems to love banning people for the slightest reason, you better watch your back.
  24. What kind of a comparison is this?? Why won't we just compare Mozart with Britney now that we're on a roll?
  25. Oh? :P I'm pretty sure I'm Dutch and familliar with Tom Barman's work as a musician and as a director. Ah yes, I nearly forget you dutchies; even though half my family is dutch and they definately know what better music is I forgot! Shame on me, shame on me for forgetting people I consider as belgian ;) So do you like Tom Barman and Any Way The Wind Blows? It has a 7.1 rating on imdb.com, which is very good. I loved the movie, of course. I'm Belgian, a fan of everything that's from Antwerp and that definately includes all of Barman's work.
