  1. I loved playing with lego as well, especially with the simple shaped legos, using imagination isn't part of it anymore... Oh for the people who love Monty Python (The Quest of the Holy Grail) and lego; lego knights of Camelot
  2. I would want to be able to read (and comprehend) books in a matter of seconds. Can be useful when you're running out of time right before exams  Or perhaps being able to convince people with a single word, now that would be great :) No powerful superman abilities for me, just useful ones.
  3. This reminds me of the Davidstars Jews had to wear during WWII because of the German oppression. I hope war will stay out or a nuclear war might follow.
  4. Huh? Like Hohto said: they are pretty damn famous in Europe, I can't believe they're in this list. They're good, but not at all fantastic IMO. (it's Rammstein btw) I do agree on Muse being underrated; no1 in the US knows them, but I find their music fantastic and refreshing for the poprock genre.
  5. Deep Purple underrated? When's the last time people said they weren't good? They're great but they're not underrated IMO; if they were I wouldn't know them and none of us would. Yet they're world famous and get the credit they deserve... I think bands like Mogwai, Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós and Massive Attack are fantastic but they're also widely respected, so I can't really say they're underrated. One of the better Belgian bands, that isn't nearly as famous as they should be is dEUS. Zita Swoon also classifies in that order. But if I have to name a well-known band that is underrated: The Verve
  6. Whoa, those are 3 movies I really liked. What made you think those movies are aweful? They're not my favourites but IMO they're good nonetheless. And talking about the worst movies ever: there's so many movies that I get irritated by. But all movies that make people's IQ sink to bottom rock are horrible. A movie should be relaxing but it definately should not make you fall asleep or laugh with jokes that seem to be coming right out of a trashcan. I said the Chronicles of Narnia was bad. I said that A History of Violence and Sin City were good as a reaction to TS statement that comicbook movies suck. Right, sorry, I just skim threads that are this long, reading every comment into detail absorbs too much time ;)
  7. Yeah, he's an old-school villain; Hugo Weaving (aka Elrond from the Lotr) is one of my favourites as well, but no one beats Spacey ^^
  8. Myeah, Alan Rickman makes a great bad guy, but IMO there are 2 types of bad guys. The first is the classical, deep-voiced and powerful genius who always makes a crucial mistake in the end. The second one is the more or less realistic villain, characterized by wit, overall intelligence, know-how and manipulative yet flawless behavioure. That's why my vote goes to Kevin Spacey, who was brilliant in Se7en and The Usual Suspects as an anti-hero described above.

  10. Personally I like most Bond movies, you all know they're far-fetched and unrealistic (as if one man could boycott an entire organisation all the time  ) but that's what's so charming about them. I love those scenes where Bond gets shot at by a hundred guards and not even one bullet hits him  But hey, that's Bond for you, if people think that's over the edge, they should watch The Matrix or something, at least they have a plausible explanation why Neo & co are such divine fighters. If I'd have to pick a favourite Bond actor, it'd be Sean Connery of course, he's great in all movies where he gets to be the hero.
  11. I think LadykillJoy, Bewareofmef, Sir Elliott and Kobiianardo are more impressive on the left hand side of the column...
  12. My parents pay my 250̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì bill of the housing and I get 210̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì a month as well to keep me from starving and dehydration ;) When they were in college they worked in restaurants to get a little more spare change, I actually have ample with 210 a month, which I invest in the stock market to slightly raise the value over the months I don't use it.
  13. Does anyone else feel like this should be locked? The only result we get here is people bragging about how fantastic they are and on the other side the people who haven't lost their common sense and realise an IQ test isn't this simple.
  14. I've been OT'ing long before you were here piano, lurking in the shadows :P
  15. Uh, yeah I know smithie; I even posted a bunch about it a few pages earlier. I just pointed at good remark Bubsa made.
  16. Oh, it was a pleasure typing and translating all that; I'm a geek when it comes to that stuff, I can't get enough of those doom-scenarios :D If you want to know something more about the book: http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP. ... ID=1563913 It's dutch of course, but that's the book :)
  17. Yeah, I get your point bari, and I don't want to sound like a know-it-allm but a friend of mine wrote a book about astronomy and one of the chapters discusses what would happen if an asteroid hit the Earth. He consulted about a hundred books writing his own, and I can guarantee you that you'd much rather be involved in a nuclear war than in a meteor crash the size of the thingie that hit the dinos. *grabs book and translates from dutch* Life is amazing and I doubt any of us can explain how exactely it managed to escape death at that time. That's why I don't believe a few bombs, no matter how powerful, can destroy it all.
  18. Pity. As a genius I would have thought you would have noticed the time limit. Ka-doumdoum-tshhh! Bubsa in the house :D!
  19. I was thinking of Kids with Guns from the Gorillaz, damn vendetta games. All people that have guns have something that should've never existed.
  20. Oooh, I gave all of my rune sets and valuable rares to a good friend of mine who became 16 that day. We're both almost 20 now  Lol good days. Although I kinda regret it; those masks and p hats are worth a fortune, not only in RS but if I'd manage to sell the for dollars...
  21. I've got a load of old pics of RS; me posing with every famous person, like a Japanese tourist  I'll post the more relevant ones to this topic though: Who now remembers when the best pures were around lvl 60? My pker was 58 back then but with 50-20-70 you can't do a thing against rune pkers, so I always teamed with PDJ :P Aah, daakpunk; the legend. Wasn't he Robin Hood's newbie? I never challenged him; for some reason he always hitted 20+ and caught me like no one else. He was one of the few pkers who was able to make everyone afraid on his own, rarely teamed up. Haha, the good old 'cold war of RS'; the Russians vs. the Americans: My 'homies', 3 other Belgians; Vmser (white p hat), Spekky Hater (red p hat),Papa Rasta (yellow p hat) and myself. Along with TKS and l6vi, xxcavalierxx was more than anyone else the hero of everyone. Add the fact that he made me get my first millions by buying big bones at 1k each, I just can't love him enough  My pker's bank at its peak:
  22. I thought you started way earlier Lode? By the time the eggswere there I was already a millionaire with my *30* r2hs which are worth crap now :)
  23. Fally! I just love the fortress it is and it brings back most of my old skool- RS memories :)
  24. Yeah, I remember the days where Lightning and bluerose13x owned; talking about female power :) And I loved being able to attack people outside the wildy, lol, it didn't last long though. Oh, and how glorious were the days when the knives-bug still was there?
