  1. The Editors - the back room. Next: broken boy soldiers from the Raconteurs. The best revelation from '06 IMHO.
  2. It was a cover from DAAU, Tub gurnard goodness. I hope you don't say you've never heard of them :)
  3. /silly argument
  4. There there. Calm down young chaps. I like Zeppelin, so does my father, so do my uncles, so do some of my friends. And most people with Zeppelin T-shirts know just a tad little more than just Stairway. I only have one old piece of rag which once was a T-shirt from a band and that band is Rage Against The Machine. If you look at my avatar and you know Rage, you know why I have that t-shirt. So call me an idiot, because I can't sing along all Rage songs, I don't even know most of their lyrics, I just love the shirt.
  5. Well, my knowledge stretches pretty far, but only to what I like. I have ab-so-lu-te-ly no idea what Britney albums look like, for example.
  6. :shame:  Says who? :) Could you tell us what country they're from Daan? That seems to be a rather difficult one.
  7. I really don't mind, but if some one pushed a double loop in my throat ad I had to make a decision; I'd not remove them. Honestly, I haven't seen anyone with more than 1000 posts that spams all over the place. Besides, if they do, they get banned (at least I hope/assume so). And what does post count tell about your maturity, respectability or knowlegde anyway? If I want to know if a person is an respectable and honest person, who knows what he's saying, I can just check his last posts about a similar topic. That's how I figured out mods are actually extra-terrestrial. :-$
  8. I added (yet) another rule; if ater 24h, it hasn't been guessed, the first person who feels like it can make a new cover. I'm going to Germany with friends for a week, have fun guys! :)
  9. I find all Monty Python music pretty funny. If you can call it music. I've got 2 albums of em; some sogs are awesome, but weird. A few of em: I Like Chinese/Every Sperm Is Sacred/Medical Love Song and of course Decomposing Composers \
  10. I'm still wondering what that cover is. Could you give us a hint?
  11. Sandstorm? That's from Darude, right? That's certainly no techno, it's house, or perhaps you could say it's trance. Pretty much crap IMHO... Even I can make that with the right program. It's like that overhyped DJ Tiesto =; :? Where i live its considered techno. Anything that uses excesive synths, and is mostly made with a computer is considered techno here. Yeah, I'm sorry if I sounded offensive. I know, techno and other digital music is pretty European. Across the ocean most people consider it all to be the same. It's kinda like old people consider rock, metal, grunge, punk and even pop to be identical. There's quite a big difference between house, trance, jungle, techno and electro. I hope you're talking about the song 'no good' and that you're not saying the prodigy isn't good. Otherwise I'll have to come over there and convince you otherwise by playing 'music for the gilted generation' over and over again \ .
  12. Why haven't I noticed this thread before? I'm a techno-junkie. = junlge But true, it's fantastic, I love it. If you like that, you MUST get some stuff from Aphrodite as well. Some of The Prodigy's work is great jungle/techno as well. Sandstorm? That's from Darude, right? That's certainly no techno, it's house, or perhaps you could say it's trance. Pretty much crap IMHO... Even I can make that with the right program. It's like that overhyped DJ Tiesto =; My advice: if you really want to get into techno, go for some electro first. Kraftwerk of course are the pioneers, but if you're easily distracted, it gets kinda boring after a while. You should also try Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, the more mainstream stuff. Some good DJs are DJ Shadow, DJ Hell, Dave Clarke, Miss Kittin, Sven VÃÆÃâÃâäth, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey, T. Raumschmiere, Roger Sanchez, Laurent Garnier, Fisherspooner, Vitalic, Tiga, 2 Many DJs (aka Soulwax, inventors of the mash-ups), LCD Sounsystem, ... If you like a mix of softer techno with rock, post-rock is what you need. Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós, Massive Attack, Mogwai... Absolutely fantastic music. * in fat are my favourites :)
  13. Hotel California from The Eagles Sweet, sweet 70s.
  14. Why isn't the RS floor filled with corpses? Every second hundreds of monsters and a few players die. That stinch must be aweful too. Why does eating heal you? If an arrow was stuck in my chest, eating a lobster wouldn't help much :P
  15. The movie was made in 2005 (of course the story happens on the 70's). The towers were "photoshopped" there, obviously with a reason. Well then why did you ask if they were put there with a reason? :) And you're probably right what concerns the date; it's more likely to happen in the 80s or even late 70s. Been a while since I watched it.
  16. Yep, those were the twin towers. But I think that last scene happens in the late 90s, so it's no wonder the twins are there.
  17. Saw lotr III (rotk) again yesterday, always lifts my mood.
  18. Added rules, so this post won't become a spamfest or one of the many boring topics around.
  19. Thank Bill for bringing the best sarcastic/cynical comedy then :)
  20. Yeah, I count on an impressive Henry ft. Zidane performance this Sunday. Let's hope the Italians don't go all catenaccio again.
  21. Anyone seen today's Federer-Ancic game? He wasn't as divine as usual, but still loads better than a well-playing Ancic.
  22. I know most names of phobias are something of a Latin precedent with -phobia behind, like arachna (=spider) phobia. So perhaps your phobia is called umbraphobia? Umbra, I thought, is Latin for shadow or darkness. But a phobia is something very very serious, if darkness makes you think you're going to die, then you can call it phobia, if you simply don't like it at all, it's kinda normal. And I fear nothing, except me running out of enthousiasm in life ;) edit: via la google! http://phobialist.com your phbia is called Lygophobia
  23. weirdo  How about you quit posting one and two-word posts, it is so annoying and it doesn't add anything to the discussion. Is it The Period? [/spam]
  24. Yeah, Christiano Ronaldo should go to Italy and give them some more cheating lessons. How's that good sportsmanship? If the finale will be Italy-Portugal, I'll spit on both teams.

Hmm, though mpc is right, most high school bands suck, I used to be the drummer in one, and we just had fun. If you play soccer with friends, but you all pretty much suck, does that mean you shouldn't ever play again? Naaah. You just have to realise you suck, and don't start spreading the word you're great, like many bands and even more solo artists do.
