What movie(s) did you last see?
Aye. But full of nonesense historically seen, you probably know that as a Scot. It's one of the best movies I've seen too, but it's filled with things that aren't true, although I don't mind that at all. Mel Gibson also said the movie's based on the true story of Scotland's stuggle for freedom in the 13th century. One of the flaws is that William Wallace didn't play that much of a keyrole in Scotland's freedom; it was Robert the Bruce himself, who, after Wallace warmed up the Scots, won battle after battle. Another thing that's not right: the princess was about 5 years old when Wallace died; she can't have known him well, definately not personally. So many more, but those facts don't diminish the quality of the movie, I love it. I just saw Mission: Impossible again, great action thriller. Tom Cruise is one of those actors that are worth the millions for each movie they make.

Surely its drum n bass? Both, just check out Tarantula (Pendulum), that's jungle. But you're right that most of Pendulum is dnb, not jungle. My bad :)

Sunburnnnn. Feel it! [Pics here aren't too pretty]
When I went boarding 4 years ago, we made a daytrip on roughly 3,500 metres altitude. When I asked my brother where the sunblock was, because I was late -as usual- he tossed me a bottle of after-sun. Bastard. After sun makes burns even worse, and on 3500 metres height, the cold makes you not feel burns. So I was enjoying my day of snwboarding in Italy, but that evening my face, my arms and my neck were completely burnt, second degree, that's bad. That's like hanging in a fire with your face for a dozen of seconds the medic told me afterwards. So I was burnt, badly, and I couldn't board anymore that week, but that's not all. My nose, the most fragile part on your face for burns, ached like hell and if you carefully look I still have little dots of pigment on it that are a result of that. I'm afraid I can't post a pic of those burns, since it was mainly my face, and that would definately break the rules. So, if you're rushing towards the snowfun, DON'T put on after-sun people.

Pendulum Slam
Pendulum is great, best jungle music out there, together with Aphrodite. Lemme check the movie :) edit: hehe, good stuff, but I think this rather belongs in the music section, not in OT.

Caesar IV
Yeah, I'm also a little afraid that programmers are so widely enthousiast about the new possibilities good computers now offer, that they're forgetting that a game firstly needs to be entertaining and something worth playing.

Caesar IV
You can actually earn tons of money without cheating too :) Just make sure your city had at least an 80% tax coverage, also try to max your Grand Insulae (the best houses for working class people) and don't let them evolve to aristocrats, keep them working. When you have that many working people, sell all the pottery, oil, and most importantly, weapons you can sell. I still have a city with 25,000 inhabitants, almost all of the houses are Grand Insulae and there's just a small neighbourhood with approx. 1,500 aristocrats living as wealthy as you can imagine :) They've got those Luxury Palaces as their homes, beautiful!

The meaning of life, or perhaps im just insane.
there is no "first place". there is no start, it goes back infinitely. Yeah, and what I think might be true, even though it requires a lot of imagination, is that all energy, which is of course the base of mass, emerged fro nothing. Nothing at all, yep. It is said that all negative energy (i.e. all gravity energy) equaly all positive energy (i.e. all other forms of energy). Thus it can be said that they both nullify eachother. If somehow, nothing can be divided into an amount of positive energy and gravity, it can be possible that out of nothing, something emerges. Don't ask me any details, I just read this theory in EOS magazine; they also added that it was merely speculation and that what I just called nothing of course is something, but something without any characteristics, so no weight, no neutrons, no electrons... And they also don't give an explanation as to how nothing can all of a sudden divide itself, because that would require energy. This cycle might repeat itself every few thousand of billions of years. First: energy emerges out of what's called 'nothing' Second: E=MC̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâò so some energy becomes mass if it somehow travels at the speed of light Third: the mass, that has both gravity energy and other forms of energy (that theoretically nullify eachother!) attracts other masses until it becomes a gigantic sphere-alike thing Fourth: This sphere eventually explodes, which then results in the commonly known theory of what happens after the Big Bang. Fifth: Creation of our current universe Sixth: The cycle repeats itself as all matter either degenerates into nothing again, or attracts eachother, like black holes do, to form a new gigantic sphere. I'd like to add that this is merely what I think might be some sort of explanation. Most likely I'm way off, but it does seem plausible IMHO. But then again, so does my quote, which is of course philosophical bs ;)

America - benign or a menance?
Trust me, Finland is so much more than Minnesota. I've been to both, and Finland's culture alone makes it worth visiting it. And the landscapes of the Land of a Thousand Lakes... :3> Naah, Minnesota is very beautiful, just like at least 30 other US states. But I don't really see the link with Finland. You can just as well say that New York is exactely the same as Paris then. Makes no sense :)

Caesar IV
I don't play computer games a lot, but there are some games that are too great not to play. One of them is Caesar III. A 1998 game with fascinating graphics and sounds, but above all, the best gameplay I've ever experienced. The game remains rather difficult, even if there isn't a single secret for you about it anymore. There are also numerous ways of expanding your city or winning a scenario; it truly is the best city builder game I have ever known. Those of you that have already played one of the previous Caesar games will all agree that it was and actually still is a fantastic game, old as it may be. Now, this summer, Caesar IV will be released; definately something to look forward to for all city builder games fans. Here's a few things you should know about Caesar if you haven't got a clue what it is: some beautiful in game screenshots Looks very promising to say the least! This game will most likely become my favourite game of all time.

What movie(s) did you last see?
i thought 28 days later was decent, but i was kind of let down by it. the post-apocalyptic scenerio is probably my favourite, whether it be movie, book, video game, what ever. i dont know why, but i just love that scenerio. Yeah, ditto. I love movies that are about something 'big' like an apocalypse, or a war, or an adventure. Even though some may be incredibly lame and predictable, I can still really enjoy them, mostly because of the great special effects, like in many of those American blockbusters, like 'Deep Impact'

America - benign or a menance?
If you believe the US are actually doing something good, fine by me. My country doesn't wage war with countries we wrongfully *suspect* of having dangerous weapons. My country doesn't think it has God on its side. And my country also isn't completely ruled by companies. Just by not doing that, my country has done more good than the US have in the last 50 years.

The Discuss-A-New-Album Thread
Hmm, good question... I'll leave that to your own personal interpretation :) I consider a new album either one that is freshly released (less than a year old?) or one you just bought (or downloaded).

Best Film you've EVER seen?
Probably 'best' in the meaning of: movie you enjoyed most. And enjoyed in a meaning that you have to interpret yourself ;) My list would be: - the Lotr trilogy - the Matrix - the Monty Pythons - the Usual Suspects - Pulp Fiction - Braveheart There's some of my favourite movies I'm forgetting, I'm sure of that, but I can't recall em atm.

What movie(s) did you last see?
28 days later. Finally, a good movie (after the crap I watched the previous days), which I watched this evening with a couple of friends. It was from the director of Trainspotting and The Beach (which also is, IMO, a good movie, if Leonrado DiCaprio's role would've been done by Johnny Depp).

What are you listening to right now!?
MÃÆÃâÃâúm - Green Grass of Tunnel (post-rock, sounds like a mix of Mogwai with Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós)
-
The recognize-a-cover game!
=D> Thx Merc! Good one. Well, I've seen Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós live twice, Mogwai once (both awesome live, btw). I know them both for quite a long time, they're exactely my genre of music. But I wouldn't say their music is very closely related though, Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós can't really be compared with anything, but I'd say MÃÆÃâÃâúm comes very close, if you know them, you'll agree with me :) Oh, and I 'only' have 6 Mogwai albums, plus 2 live sets, not quite as good as you. :ohnoes:

The recognize-a-cover game!
All right, where's Daan when you need him? :P It's an English band, that's quite a big hint, only a few thousand bands to pick from ;)

Sweet song by my friend Algorhythmz: I'm Powerful (rate plz)
Wow! A Bubsa wannabe, but what a wannabe! I love Bub for all his songs, but singing, he cannot :-$ Your voice actually reminds me of the lead singer of Bush, which is a compliment, that's for sure. And the lyrics are almost as funny as Bubsa's :) Top!

Locations IRL?
What do you expect? That every Brazillian has internet connection? The downside of Capitalism is that you get very lonely if there aren't enough rules :) btw: check my reply in the desktop thingie; check out the Caesar site, C IV seems really... wow :-w

The meaning of life, or perhaps im just insane.
i was indifferent. Copy that. Except I think the meaning of our lives is that we're here for no obvious reason, but to have fun, and let others around us enjoy that fun. So basically, party and get drunk as much as you want, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. And try to make people happy, it'll make you happier too, so that your life has had any meaning after you decompose.

Locations IRL?
Hey, I'm going camping with friends there in September. I look forward to the infamous showers of rain in the highlands : Cool, camping and hillwalking I assume? Which part of the highlands do you know? It's quite a large area. I love hillwalking in the highlands  If you're lucky you will get nice weather, just watch out for the midges  Actually we're going mountain biking, I haven't yet completely planned the route, but I do know we're going to visit Edinburgh, then Glasgow, Falkirk, Striling (yes, I hope to meet good ol' William there), Perth :) and eventually Dundee as well. If we're in a good mood and the wheather is fine, we might continue to Aberdeen. Would you say the sea route from Dundee to Aberdeen is worth the ride? Or is it nothing special and should we continue land-inwards? If there's more of Scotland you wouldn't want us to miss, please tell me :)

Heres what I love. Make your own love post: spread the love!
I seriously hope your joking bud... Thats not something to love at all... The knowledge sprouted out of it is. And if he means history in general, I can only fully agree with him. There's little more interesting then man's history.

Heres what I love. Make your own love post: spread the love!
I like your name a whole lot. I would make love to it BUT it doesnt have an H in. To the first poster. I said no BNP bashing you swine! I think it's fair to insult racists? no? It is, yes. STOP BRINGING THE HATE YOU REAR END. THIS A LOVE POST. Then can't you react mature and 'with love'? Should you mean what you just said there, then edit your post and get rid of that insulting  (and the childish caps) What I love: 1/ my family 2/ my best friends and girlfriend 3/ honest, kind and cheerful people 4/ music, as long as it sounds good or brings forth a good message, or both in the best case 5/ the useful and positive powers of the brain
