I'm using an Explorer and I was using the back button but its so damn small on the Explorer I break my combo when going for it, and what the hell is a star power pedal? There are lots of Xplorer back button mods, they all include something like taping a penny to the back button, then taping a piece of cardboard to the penny so you just press the big piece of cardboard for back. A star power pedal is when you connect a mono headphone jack to the select button on the main circuit board (soldering), then you plug in some kind of trigger (Rock Band drum pedal works great) and you press the pedal to activate star power.

Right now I'm loving playing James Bond for the Wii online, even though I suck. The graphics remind me a little of Team Fortress 2 and the gameplay is awesome. I'm also just got The Force Unleashed for Wii, I've played a demo and it was fun so I hope it's good.

Agreed with infam0us on that one. I still play GH3 and RB2 regularly, and I like the RB2 notes a lot more. It just a lot "cleaner" and less childish.

I don't remember 100%, but I think you go to Game Library, select your game and press "Y". It is a lot, and I'm going to get a 120GB hdd soon so I can rip all my games.

The song creation sucks in Guitar hero. No, making songs really is amazing. It's all I've been doing for the past few days. The instruments sound too synthesized and you can't have vocals (which might be a blessing in disguise), but otherwise it's so much fun. I'm working on a song right now that will (hopefully) blow away everything I've seen from others so far, except for the Banjo Kazooie Theme, which was just epic. Until it got taken off GHtunes for copyright lol. I prefer GH overall. Still can't stand the [bleep] square notes in RB and the instruments are still really terrible IMO. The song list does beat WT's, and the DLC blows it out of the water, but I prefer fewer good and challenging charts to a crapload of stuff that I can sightread FC. I passed Visions on my first try with no sound ffs. And I 4 starred Satch Boogie on my sightread. Rock Band wins in the long run, because World Tour won't be able to keep up with the constant flow of DLC, we just got 10 new songs on Tuesday. That's 8.4% of the entire WT setlist in one day.

Wicked cold today though, especially with the windchill...My mom said it was 30 F during the day, so there's no doubt it'll be cold enough. Whether there'll be precipitation is the question... It was like 20 F here, it was colder on Sunday. I was out raking in like 25 F with the windchill bringing it to like 5 F or something in jeans and a sweatshirt. Then I had to do a thing with my temple's youth group while we walked around Newbury Street in Boston for 2 hours in the cold... It was terrible :lol: When I got home my hands were actually blue, I bit my finger and I didn't feel it, so I ran them under hot water for like 10 minutes.

You can rip a game you own onto your hard drive. The space it takes up varies from game to game, but they all take around 4-7GB each. It only took like 10 minutes for me to rip RB2 (I think it was 6.7GB?) and it increases the loading time by a significant amount, makes the Xbox quieter, and greatly reduces the risk of getting the RROD because since the disc doesn't spin when you play the game, the temperature decreases a ton. The only downside is you still have to have the disc in to play.

I agree with Nadril about the DLC. It's incredible, if Harmonix had released a game with just DLC they would still walk all over Guitar Hero. Almost all I play now is DLC! There are amazing bands like The Who, Rush, Megadeth, RHCP, Nine Inch Nails, A7X, Dead Kennedys, and so many more. I also don't like the World Tour set list at all, at least for guitar. The only fun songs are Trapped Under Ice, Satch Boogie, Hot For Teacher, and Mr. Crowley (Mr. C is probably my favorite GH song ever).

None yet here in Massachusetts. I heard some is coming this weekend though.

So far the only problem I have (which is a major one IMO) is that the Marketplace is incredibly slow. It took me 10 minutes just to download the Dead Kennedy's Pack and Best of The Who for RB2, not including download times, so 10 minutes of navigation.

You do need the actual disc in to boot the game, but you could probably boot the game and then take out the disc since it doesn't spin at all if your running it off your HD. I'd sure they thought of this and made sure you can't eject the drive, but you could try manually ejecting the disc drive (don't know how on a 360...). I'm gonna go try it now actually :D EDIT: DO NOT TRY THIS! I booted Rock Band 2 from my HD, and when I stuck the paper clip into the hole to eject the disc tray manually (I tested it before hand to make sure it would eject fine, it did) it started making these really weird noises. Thankfully it still reads discs and my RB2 disc isn't scratched, but I'm sure this can easily seriously damage your disc laser.

512mb would like to say otherwise. That's why the Wii is useless for DLC, you just can't store enough on there. SD cards. It even has the option to save songs from the music maker on there, along with all sorts of other stuff, and it says "searching for downloadable content" when you load up the game, and in the options menu you can choose where it searches from , wii HD, or SD card. There is Wii DLC. I haven't figured it out yet though, it keeps giving me an error.

Doesn't selling the disc for which you have a burned copy, but still playing the burned copy, count as illegal, because you no longer own the retail copy of the game? *sssh*

Source Nice signature On a side note, since I can now play LEGAL burned backups of my Wii games (You are legally allowed to have one backup copy of every game you own.) I've decided to trade in my GH3 game disc and buy a used 360 GH3, mostly for the online play, but a little for the achievements :) When I was at my friends house, we were doing score duels and we were playing the Devil Went Down to Georgia. Since I have it on Wii, the only time I've played that is on the Boss Battle, so this was my 2nd time ever playing the actual song, and I hit Devil Solo B. It was insane (even though it's not really hard), it was pretty epic. I also realized how amazing I am with an Xplorer, so now I'm going to go to GameStop and find a used Xplorer with buttons as epic as my friends. Seriously, I was fcing parts of the solos in the Dragonforce DLC on my 2nd-3rd times playing them ever. It was amazing.
