That must have been interesting. I didn't actually talk to him much beside letting him pass to go to the toilet and a question he had about the in-flight entertainment system. He just gave himself in without a fight.

It's 4 in the morning here right now, I've been awake since 3. Stupid jetlag. Now I'm continuing to starve myself for a few more hours to follow the advice of a Cracked article. Fingers crossed. Apparently I was sitting beside a wanted fugitive during the 8 hour flight from Canada to Amsterdam. He got arrested by waiting police officers as soon as he exited the plane. He took it very calmly though, I never would've thought anything was amiss.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Today's my last day in Canada with the family. It's been a great two weeks and a half. Saying goodbye won't be easy, but I do look forward to being back in Belgium a bit.

I'd like to add that giving the Olympics to whichever country has the most medals in the preceding Olympics would be complete hell for whoever's suddenly organizing the Olympic Games. Picking a host country for such a large event also always includes seeing whether or not the candidates are actually able to organize such a big event, not only financially but also when it comes to things like infrastructure. It'd be ridiculous to decide who gets the Olympics based on performance.

To add to that, waking up at noon. That feeling you basically wasted half your day sleeping.

Last night I went out with some friends for the last time before I travel. Had a great time, a nice way to end this first part of the summer (the wild part). Now starts the second part, my trip to Canada (Winnipeg to be exact). I'll be visiting family there (uncle and his wife on mother's side, their two daughters and grandfather on mother's side). I've always really enjoyed their company but it's been a while since we've been able to see eachother due to circumstances. I'll be going to the library later to get some books for the trip. On a side note, I'll be travelling by plane on Friday the 13th. Spoooky. And then after I come back starts the third part of the summer, work hard play hard. I work at McDonald's in August, which I'm kinda looking forward to. Also, by the time I'm back from my trip, all my best friends will have returned too. Man, summer is great.

I've had such a busy summer holiday so far, I think since the end of my exams the 22nd June I've done something with my friends every single day except for maybe one or two. I like it, but damn it feels good to do nothing for a day. Also, I woke up hungover today.

To be honest, that's because in the course of 5 years most good article ideas have been taken and contributors are forced to look really hard to find an article idea and 6 fitting entries. That's not an attack on Cracked, it's a sign of admiration for the writers, since I've nearly given up after about a year of shooting down my own ideas because of the dreaded "it's been done before". What annoys me is when I notice I left my bike lights on for a while.

Just got back from Werchter and it was completely awesome. Tiring as hell, but completely worth all the leg aches. We even got interviewed by a national radio station and now we're in a video on the net, hurrah.

Packing for Werchter. Be back in about four days, hopefully. I'll be getting up around 4:15AM tomorrow.

I've been up for about 18 or 19 hours now. Stayed up all night, so I need to force myself to stay away today to get my sleep schedule back in order. In other news, time seems to go by faster when you are tired. I'd stayed up all night too, ended up just falling asleep around 6 PM and I woke up around 10 AM the next morning. My schedule's completely back in order now, so I suggest doing that :razz:

No, what he's saying is that The Oatmeal is pulling a bait and switch on all the donators by saying they'll donate to Charities 1 and 2, and then later adding 2 more charities to the mix. Since he lives in a world full of hyperbolic banter, that's the same as collecting money for an Israeli cause only to donate it to Palestinian children at the last minute. Because everyone knows the other two charities the Oatmeal is donating to are the "[bleep] BEARS LET'S HUNT" charity and the Society for the Progress of the Spreading of Cancer.

Just slept for 18 hours straight. Felt good man.

My exams are over and it's now summer (though only in name because [bleep] the weather sucks). Now time to completely wreck myself in celebration.

Oral exam for Latin in two hours. This one's basically the biggest and most important exam of this school year. I'm surprisingly calm. Still need to study some more. Starting tomorrow, it'll be nunc est bibendum for over two months.
