Wilderness...ruined?
There is a useful way to cure the wilderness of cowards. That is to remove the "protect from melee, ranged, magic etc" and the ability to teleport from the wilderness. Because of these factors it becomes harder to get a kill and easier to escape from a pker. All well and good for the skillers, however there is only a small area of the Runescape map where people can kill eachother I think the wild should be changed to a place where you can actually die.

Don't clean your ear with cotton buds: here's why
The old saying goes "never put something in your ear smaller than your elbow". This serves two points, 1: You won't ever put anything in your ear 2: You look like an idiot trying to get your elbow up to your ear.

A quality thread?
That isn't really a good argument. You can get a lot of forum experience on other forums before joining here. Generally you can tell the people who are experienced by how they act. Intarweb has acted in the way that makes me think he has a lot of forum experience. No crappy new topics, easy to read posts, and logical arguments. Plus I have a theory that he isn't someone knew to this forum at all. The sad thing is, that kind of hybrid, knowledge-applying "wise newbies who have used other forums" don't virtually exist on tip.it. Real smart users here are 1:500, (fortunately a lot of them do post on off topic). Even the example you mentioned doesn't apply for certain reasons which you can possibly figure out. Look at the recent posts by new users. That's most likely going to be the trend even in the future. How arrogant, remarks like this convey why nobody is stimulating good discussion. This forum isn't mensa, I didn't see a "minimum i.q sign" on the door we don't all have to be super intelligent to post in this forum. Some of my best friends in real life aren't paticularly intellectual but that doesn't stop them from being good people. Seriously, stop being so intimidating to other users, just because you like to debate with your fellow geniuses doesn't mean the rest of us must endure it. I think we need a debate subforum :-w

Wilderness...ruined?
Everybody saying the wild is ruined be careful not to confuse you not getting kills with it "being ruined", you could just all be not very good pkers

The quest cape shattered my hopes.
I think you have a valid point and high levels need an update. However I don't really like quests, (I have 95 quest points, i've done about two quests since classic) mainly because of the guides to quests. I don't really get a sense of achievement out of a quest knowing that thousands before me have probably skipped through it in a quarter of the time using a guide. I think as well as making higher requirements for quests Jagex should introduce quests that guides cannot be written for. (Like the underground pass quest? I think has some bits in it that randomely change everytime). Quests that require intelligence and more logic to figure out, I know people will tell me just not to use a guide but it doesn't cut it for me, it feels like i'm wasting my time knowing others use a guide. Yes I know i'm being naive about that, but Runescape is a very repetitive game i'd like to see Jagex bring in a more challenging quest.

Money (again)
Have you tried air running? I think there's a guide in the archive of wisdom if you search for it. Or you could just log onto world 16 and figure it out from there.

mith and addy ores
You'd probably be better off sticking in the mining guild and grabbing some occasional mith (and addy in dwarven mines) but mainly sticking to coal for the money maker.

Wilderness...ruined?
I like to pk on f2p whenever I pk, rarely members but I wouldn't say the wilderness is dead. I love killing people that are defenceless explorers of the wilderness and fighting people at the castle. I don't whinge when I get teamed or pile jumped because that is the wilderness. It's a place to actually kill someone on Runescape so obviously there is going to be verbal fights there (its the only place you can do it). Seriously, there are so many people on Runescape that irritate me its so good to kill some defenceless level 70 at the mines or something. Take just a minute ago for example some guy comes up to me and tells me to help him (i'm at ice giants on a free server). So what do I do? I kill him of course and take his food. I was a little low on food and decided I needed a bit more. He then pms telling me and I quote "I hate u". People take this game to seriously and I know that in the wilderness power corrupts us all but I like to keep the wilderness as an area of fear, its so hard to die in game and when people do they throw a hissy fit. I implaw you if you fight honourably however don't expect me to if you're wearing full rune and you're skulled. The only people that I do mind entering the wilderness are pkers that bring tele runes, if it was up to me there would be no teleporting in the wilderness making it a place of pure, raw, danger  I advice you all to go to the wildy today and kill anyone you see, its such a great feeling.

F2p Mage Proposal *Read it now!* 105 supporters!!!!
1. That doesn't interest me it's 5 dollars for members, you don't pay a damn thing, seriously I don't know how you are going to survive in the real world if you think that Jagex as a business need to continually be giving you free stuff because in some dumb little world you live in you believe you deserve it. 2. Why do I get the impression you could use this argument forever? 3. Oh wait, it was an example of of f2p whining for free stuff then getting bored of it within a few weeks. 4. It was just an example of a skill that was brought out for f2p opening lots of different avenues for it. 5. You need to realise that Jagex are a business that don't owe you anything and ifyou can't pay be thankful you can play at all, most MMORPG's cost a monthly subscription to play them, there is no option of an everlasting "f2p". You need to calm down. 1. They do deserve some stuff, without them, then Jagex, wouldn't get money from ads, and i'm guessing that thats about 25-30% of the profits 2. No comment 3. So you bias your answer on what some F2Pers say? Actually, i bet most of them were expecting some awesome shoes, not cheap bronze knock-offs 4. No comment 5. He is right, and most MMORPGS have 'everlasting' F2P Money in ads? Do you know how much they make from them? I don't and I don't see how you do? 25-30%? Did you just make that up because it supported your argument? I suppose here you're saying the stronghold wasn't good enough for you? Ok a 3/4 level dungeon with ample monsters to kill opening up some great training spots as well as helping younger users secure their account? I thought that was a generous update for f2p. Most MMORPG's? Well i'd like to here some examples and that is of companies on the scale of Jagex.

Smithing 57-60 - but how?
Well make steel bars and make them into steel plates? You can alch them and get 1.2k per plate. However you'll make less money than if you were to just sell the bars. I'm not sure, use the tipit calculator and work out if you need to smith, you could just smelt those ores/may get you to 60.

Reasoning behind Low-Level Skillers
Since Runescape 2 skillers have been on the increase. Probably because skills are more "fun" now, there is alot more to skills than there used to be. Expansions to practically all skills even firemaking, plus the fact you can actually see your character skilling, in runescape classic combat was the only stat that was of really much interest as your character was actually doing something not just stood there with a little bubble over his head, of a pickaxe or hatchet. We have pures now we have skillers. I suppose when you get bored of your main account and need something to do it's nice to have another account to play on, its nothing new.
