Why shouldn't they be? I'd never let a dog in my house, way too messy. Aside from all the possible bad things that could happen to your dog while outside (jesus man, it's a living thing that is pretty stupid, why the hell wouldn't you let it in?), it NEEDS to be with your family. Dogs are pack animals, they need to live with their humans, not outside. Keeping them outside all the time can damage their psychological health. Even if you decide to dismiss that, what the hell? Leaving a dog outside in the back yard for 24 hours with no AC or heat? Do you even have a shelter outside for them? No protection? Nowhere to run if something attacks them? Tons of ways to injure themselves? You really need to bring your dogs in unless they are working dogs on a farm that you spend 8 hours with a day herding animals. A dog can get more exercise being outside rather than in and I'm sure the OP has a dog house or an awning of some sort so the dogs aren't sitting out in rain. Your other points don't even makes sense because not many animals attack dogs and there are just as many way to injure themselves inside as well as outside. If he goes out to play with his dogs everyday then their psychological health will be fine.

Meh, the age part was just explaining why alcohol is legal. However legalizing marijuana is only going to add to the indirect deaths alcohol causes. I'd prefer you try and back that up. Wouldn't you assume those who abuse marijuana to the point of it causing (or indirectly causing) death would already be abusing it, legal or not? You wouldn't necessarily have to be abusing it to cause an accident. Legalizing it will only bring more people to do it and with more people comes more idiots.

OP should just suck it up and take whatever punishment is dealt to him. On the debate topic I don't really see why marijuana should be legalized for recreational use seeing as there's no positive effects for that. I see no point of everyone shouting out positive medical facts when the people actually doing just want the feeling of being high. And while marijuana may not kill somebody directly they can still cause someone to do something stupid. Sure you can bring up that alcohol has the same effect but you have to remember that alcohol has been around since before the Romans and legalizing marijuana is only going to make more accidents happen.
