  1. Now that Suomi has quit, do you think Jake will receive an influx of donations?
  2. Don't do mutated bloodvelds, they drop mostly golds which are even worse than greens in some respects. Though if you really need some terrorbirds or arctic bears and refuse to buy them I guess they'd be ok.
  3. People who tend to feel comfortable offering advice are those who know what they're talking about (see hedgehog, quyneax for examples). Such people prefer to give the best option as advice (not saying hedge/quyneax specifically do this, just my observations). Whether you choose to take or not is up to you, in this case you've made it abundantly clear you prefer the inefficient option, which was covered in the first reply, though to add to it, bloovelds are a safer alternative (though slightly slower).
  4. In response to your secondary question about people people telling you how your method is inefficient and mod interference. They can tell you how it's a poor training method after the initial question is answered and so long as they don't flame you for your choices. Here's the relevant quote from the sticky:
  5. Nothing has been posted but there is no reason to think it would be.
  6. It's definitely possible to get doors you can't pot to, not for you maxscapers though. (94 is the minimum level to be able to pot to any door). And it shouldn't take 20 minutes of standing around anyway, just check peoples stats if you don't trust them, that takes like a minute. As for soloing, so long as you're aware it's slower experience and you've got qualitative reasons for choosing it, then I don't see the problem with choosing it, unfortunately I can't advise as to the size specifics though. Edit: if you wanted to combine your dungeoneering with other skills then you should fish/woodcut/burn all the resources you come across during the floor, they're pretty good experience in those skills, though slowing down your dungeoneering experience it's better if you value them all equally.
  7. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/High_alchemy I assume that it assumes medium prices. Here's tip it's interactive one: http://www.tip.it/runescape/high_alch.php#results Should probably consider different methods of training magic assuming you intend to train all of your skills at some point, look into things like superheating, plank/amulet making, bursting rock lobsters or fighting glacors (once you can boost to 95 magic). Other people who frequent help and advice would be able to give you more specific information as to why high alching is a bad idea and the alternatives though.
  8. Kind of sad that this message needs to be given to the community in response to something theoretically positive.
  9. Read the thread on general discussion, the post from Mod Mark is on the front page of it.
  10. I think the main problems are people misinterpreting what Mark said and the general complain about Jagex culture. The way I read the original statement is that they're rethinking them (and they've certainly taken different options for bonus xp) and the warning not to stock up was more in regards to the fact everyone would've been expecting a weekend near the start of September. If they hadn't posted that then there'd just be a bunch of people complaining a month and a half earlier about no bonus weekend and no notice given.
  11. You can now add logs to the same fire over and over (it eventually goes out but still), it's called bonfiring. You could do that just outside of a bank and be able to train and talk to people that way.
  12. I'll be done with 3 exams and have 1 to go by the time the event happens, so I guess thats a motivation to study beforehand. A shame I've already taken the weekend beforehand off.
  13. Don't need to click it, just having it viewed from the forum is enough.
  14. Kalphite queen, despite her low level for a boss is pretty difficult. If you want to try a different boss maybe try the mole? Not exactly profitable but it's probably the next step in difficulty between barrows and kbd.
  15. The change was happening before max capes however, so I don't think it can all be attributed to that. Also, as tip it tends to have more late teen/adult players, I think the efficiency focus or more noticeable here than elsewhere. I think tip it events team was replaced with the monster hunting team as a result of not many people attending events and so monster hunting was adopted to encourage more people to participate.
  16. Yeah, so you can never have more than 5 challenges. But if theres a longish task you want to do but not immediately, it can be worth doing a shorter task to keep the other task available until you want to do it. When you say you can have the same task twice do you mean have it reassigned or have the same task assigned twice at the same time? If the latter, can you please provide some evidence.
  17. Just don't drink the potion them go in the wildy and you'll be fine. Seems like these items will crash pretty hard as they don't sound particularly good and kbd isn't exactly difficult.
  18. Referring to me? That seems odd seeing as how we'd bolt for 2 hours, kill for around 30 minutes and repeat, yet both me and my partners would be logged out immediately after reaching the ge as with that timeframe we would never finish on 6 hours. Worth noting we didn't use the client (doubt it existed at the time).
  19. To enter the encampments of the specific factions, which are where the monsters who drop the key pieces are. Ranged for armadyl, hp for zamorak, strength for bandos and agility for saradomin.
  20. Had you and your opponent eaten/done something else to stop you from attacking eachother for a few seconds? Because I know that the game used to wait until you weren't fighting someone to do this. I'd be bolting with a partner and we'd be able to safely get to the centre of the ge (from just outside it) before being logged. Though I suppose that could have specifically been implemented for pvp worlds.
  21. All of the generations have added things to the previous which are worthwhile (though I do admit finding the jump from gen iv to v a little lacklustre). The differences between the remakes of gen i and ii and the originals is plain to see. Having played all generations I find gen ii and the remakes the best, mostly because of the extension of the game across two regions (really hoping one day they'll make a game across all regions). Back to the original point though, I'd recommend trying each of the generations, apart from the ds investment and the latest games they're not that expensive, and if you're really hard up for cash then you could always download an emulator. If you're not liking gen iii fanboys then I think its probably going to get worse for you with the remakes for ruby/sapphire.
  22. And you can only get one fragment at a time, don't waste time like I did looking for spares.
  23. Forgot to use my ring of wealth but was lucky enough to get a pernix cowl anyway. Sold it for well below medium price but considering it was unexpected I'm still happy. Its also nice to see how respectful players at nex have been (in my experience), waiting literally in lines to use their darts and wishing others good luck.
  24. For Juju potions you'll need to work on your hunter level and look into the herblore habitat minigame.
