  1. Hmm this whole 120 Dung on highscores is rather depressing. I mean I never really set a goal to max out. However I did always look forward to it. I didnt care if I wasnt on the front page. However now to 'properly' max out its quite absurd. Even when the xp rates are faster. So it looks like its quite doubtful I will ever actually max out.. But before it was always a possibility if I just kept playing and playing and playing. I am 2400+ so maybe another year or two. (Due to other goals with already maxed out skills. Rather than solely focusing on the non-99 skills.) I guess they will allow people who only got 99 in all skills to access the 'high level forum' rather than 120 dung though. Lol. I do think they needed to do this but instead of level 120 they should of done it to level 106 which is double 99 xp. At 120 its something like 8? 99's in one skill. Maybe if it had cooking xp rates but I highly highly doubt it will do? We can only wait to find out on that. Eight? Eight is fine if you enjoy the skill but to really add to highscores eight is a bit extreme. 8 is like a third of skills inside one skill. I dont think its right to add such extremes tbh. The only way to make it possible for me to see a achievable 'end game' is if the xp rates were massive at 100-120 dung or something. I just doubt it though. Its not as much fun to see no possible end. I wouldnt necessarily quit once I maxed out but it should be my own goals to continue. The game itself should have an achievable end game achievement. Otherwise its just seems less fun. The best I can do is to try and ignore it on a personal level and once I get 99 in everything just do a few extra dung levels then decide to grind it out or not. =/ Just have to wait on the xp rates at the moment I know..
  2. I personally lay mine out like this. Across rather than down. The pots I quickly grab are at the top. Ordered in a convenient way that I like for when I am training slayer to not waste much time. Then junk pots in the middle that I prefer to keep and then half fills lined out below. Plus rest stuff I plan to make at the bottom. (For the statue rocks lol.) Err.. That isnt ordered properly yet because I havnt I.D'd them. (Chance of a rock from I.D'ing them. Once thats done I put secondaries next to whatever herb. Oh yeh I also have a emergency anti poison at the top that I can easily see on the left. (One dose) Just in case. I mostly prefer to be able to visually separate what I need from what I need to refill or train with. I can see doing down can be visually pleasing too but I suppose I just like it in different categories. Tbh it looks kinda messy looking at mine =/ if I didnt understand the layout lol. Works for me though..

  4. Why bother preventing it being sold? Giving a 'ingame gift' is very nice of them. However if its sellable then they are effectively creating a new rare thats rwt. In an age where its impossible to trade holiday items makes it seem like they are allowing very obvious rwt and are in themselves rwt items. I dont play runescape for a game where the company themselves sells items. Only way to hold a good image is to allow gifts that can only be redeemed to your character and no one elses. Like holiday items are kinda. Someone who buys a ticket for 75 quid can later sell the code for 200 which for an ingame item shoudnt be allowed by their rules. Obviously a flag or any other cosmetic item isnt a very serious issue here but all the same if they did allow it, it puts a smudge on their image because real life money bought an ingame item. They are creating a rare item. You put the code in and you get a rare. You use real life money to buy the code/rare. They should keep it purely a gift (Like a holiday items that cant be traded.) to players who attend the event. The code might have an expire date on it.. But they still created it even in a short time span if you can sell it. I am all for gifts though! Gifts are great! I think their intentions are good enough, just trying to sell tickets, and think its otherwise an awesome idea.
  5. I dont know if im going to the event however its more likely I wont be. However I think its good to give a gift ingame to those people who do attend. My only concern is people selling the code if its possible. There many ways to prevent this so I hope they do prevent it. Just lock it to an account or something.
  6. ^ (edit: previous page. =p) Ditto. Im getting kinda annoyed by all this. Its way too secretive and unnecessarily expensive. I am discussing with my gf who without I just dont want to go at all. We trying to figure out details such accommodation, travel, food etc. But its ridiculous. I aint booking any accommodation without knowing WHERE it is. That means very expensive rooms as at the moment they are very high. (Some other event is happening.) The travel will be expensive. (Again.. Other event..) Plus the extra cost of the ticket when ordering it. All this and I cant book it even if I wanted to because I dont know where it will be at. London is huge. Taxi's and buses be expensive too. Due to the cost of the ticket I would want to enjoy the whole event minute to minute. It probably about 2 hour train ride so we be very tired and need a hotel. Not really an option to travel straight after. My gf doesnt want to anyway and I dont blame her. I dont think we going tbh. <_< Needed more VITAL details such as LOCATION and such. Even if they give it soon. Its too late to book any reasonable place to sleep over. Unless we find cheap options which is unlikely + that 80ish quid for ticket. Nevermind.. I dont think americans are missing out on much.. Its too expensive for most people in the U.K for what we getting.
  7. All skills 70+ (..once..AGAIN. :!: ) and 2400 Total! =p Ganna get 75 before stopping and waiting for the rest of the skill.
  8. I don t know what other events like this usually cost but I dont really want to afford that tbh. Lots of fun things I could do for a fraction of the price... I will think about it.. I reckon 50 quid is a bit high so 75 is just through the roof. I really dont think I 'want' to afford 75 for a event like this. Unless it has free food and alcohol + fireworks etc. It would have to be a epic event. I doubt it would be though..
  9. Looks awesome. I may attend this. Depends on the cost. I dont really want to go on my own so it really depends on the cost of tickets. Travel. If hotel be necessary. Be interesting to go to a convention for runescape. Might have to buy some t-shirts beforehand lol.
  10. Following on from discussion page ago or so. I think they should force the game to drop the ingredients for potions, including planting seeds for any bonus rooms. Its not fair to add doors that are literally impossible to enter. Unless the game drops items either through the ingredients or ingredients through farming. I think they should force drop the items even if you still wouldnt have the required level. The game can decide to force drop the highest or lowest ingredients for a potion (+Farming) though. So that means you may need to level herblore/farming or the skill if you dont have the level for it. I have certainly on many occasions experienced mining doors around 104. I am 99 mining but the game never dropped the stuff I needed. So even though I also have high enough herblore and farming it just made it impossible to do them. Sometimes I have like 3 keys I cant use because of it. Its not like if I ever encountered a smithing door that required 104 smithing would work for me either. Even though I got 30m which is level 108  Lol! I wouldnt be able to get through it unless it supplied me with stuff to make a potion or the seeds to plant. Which imo the game should force drop at some previous room. I have had doors that require say 104 runecrafting of which I do not have 99 runecrafting myself. They should still force the game to drop the ingrediants to make a pot even though I dont have 99 yet or otherwise impossible to make a pot with enough boost. -Incase I did and for those who do- That seems more fair to me. I know there are technicalities to it all but to be fair it is just necessary.. Its just nonsense to have doors that are "Impossible" to go through even if you maxed out the skill, herblore and farming. I dont think they can really change it so the doors dont appear.. They just should change it so its actually possible to open them in circumstances you bloody maxed out the skills and still find it impossible. <_< +Plus. I just had an idea after writing this post. The game can instead of force dropping the items. Can spawn the necessary items in the shop for people to buy. (Smuggler guy) Only other problem with that is people may not have enough gold.. but thats less likely and still seems more fair. Its probably easier for them to make it spawn in the shop than to have monsters drop it. I could come up with other ideas but the general idea is to make it possible.. Just looks shabby as it is. Great making dungeons random and all but it needs to also be possible to complete them if you got the stats for it. :P Mainly its a problem because it actively penalises you for not completing them. Maybe it shouldnt..
  11. In my experience I just gained a level. Next dungeon gave me a boss that was one level higher than my dung level. However I needed to do a further 2 dungeons to gain that level requirement. Plus I maxed out the points. The only possibly reason for this is I was doing solo and it considered multiple people experience.. Or otherwise it just sometimes bugs and assigns bosses one level higher. I never had a boss any more than one level lower than the requirement though. I was a bit confused why I was fighting something I didnt have the requirement for lol. Didnt realise at the time because I was too busy killing it but afterwards I checked the guide. (As I usually check bosses when I level up to them.) And realised I didnt know it because I shouldnt of been fighting it.
  12. ^ Pickaxe for second. Brakes armour then you can attack normally. I found it weak after that personally. Otherwise its just harder due to more people. I think the first time I did that one I died because I was trying to get the falling rocks to hit him. (It seemed to be doing him damage.) However I was failing quite bad and eventually died after alot of effort. Second time I tried to figure out a new method.. Pickaxe.. Had no food second time, just prayer, and about 200 lp before I figured it out. Killed the git swiftly once I broke that armour.
  13. Didnt lose anything but possibly a single trip.
  14. Thank god on the HS reboot. I thought I lost a days playing time. HS shows my stats since I finished yesterday. *Crosses fingers* Not lost much.
  15. Basically put from what I figured out. You got -Floor points- and -Prestige points- which add together then halved for your score. (Average) You only get prestige points if you havnt completed a floor previously. Hence its a good idea to reset so you get more points. Otherwise you get 0 prestige points and only the floor points. Example. Floor points = 100 and Prestige = 50. You would get 75 points But without prestige it would only be 50. (Half of 100 without prestiage) If you continue levelling you keep a kind of -base level- of prestige but do not gain any points for floors you have already completed. If you have prestige level 10 its because you done all 10 floors without resetting. However any you repeat you get no prestige points until you go to a different floor. (11) Then you get prestiage points again because you havnt completed that floor and gain a base level of 11 prestige. However once again if you repeat floor 11 (Because you cant access floor 12 yet) you get 0 prestige points. If you want prestige points again then you must reset and work through the floors again. (Or otherwise wait to unlock new floors.) Remember you keep a base level of prestige. So if you have a base level of prestige 10 but reset and complete floor 1-5 you still get prestige 10 for completing new floors. (Due to resetting) Once you got 10 floors and then complete a 11th you gain a base level of 11 prestige. Which then gives you more points. So you dont have to reset but you dont get any prestige points for floors you have already completed. Lowering the average score. So if you know your about to access a new floor you may want to just wait resetting until you get that floor so you get a higher prestige base level. Then reset so you get that higher average score. -- More advanced tactic that I dont know if is a good idea or not. Reset but start a few levels before your the lowest you can reach. You get a high score for both floor and prestige. You wont get a higher prestige base level. (You would need to start from floor 1 for that.) But you do get a high score. This is probably better at higher levels when prestige is maxed out anyway. Im not high enough to really test this yet. Just an idea. Personally I am trying to get a higher base level each time. The low levels are so low anyway it doesnt matter.

  18. I don't think it's irrelevant. Reading through the thread, many people seem to think that one skill will always take a long time and other skills will take a short time. I'm just saying that's not the way it is. I got both hunter rocks in 5 minutes once and both agility rocks in 10. I've also had them both take hours. These "rare" drops are not always so rare, I would wager. I think that was just lucky and lower than the average drop rate. Many people are struggling to get certain rocks compared to others on a weekly basis. I also got my first agility rocks within 1 minute and then 3 minutes. However that does not mean they are not one of the most difficult to get. The two weeks after that took hours. You were just lucky. The actually drop rates for them is rarer. Its quite obvious that different skills have different drop rates by just going fishing.. I can barely fish 5 monks before I have both rocks. For all 6 of them.. However that probably doesnt mean someone out there hasnt spent time getting them.. The majority of us get them instantly. (In this case I have never heard of anyone taking hours to get them. However fishing is very slow in itself!) As each week passes we/I'm getting a better average of how long it will take to get them. 3 of the 2nd rocks is starting to show a better picture of what the harder rocks are and which arnt. 2 hunter rocks I got 'kinda' quickly within 20 minutes. The other 4 took 30-120 mins. Each. However something like crafting sometimes takes me a while. Sometimes doesnt. It averages out so that it really isnt that time consuming overall. Everyone is picking up on the same skills as being the most difficult compared to others. How they spend 2 hours on low training methods just to be faster at it. Anyway this wouldnt be a problem if we could train what we want and had better drop rates for higher stuff. Otherwise we have to train on lower things for little xp or reward. While still spending hours to get them. Doubt thats what jagex intended for this update. Atleast with runecrafting before they changed it you could do higher stuff. Still they fixed it. Now with something like thieving its quite rare and to fail less you choose to train on men/women or master farmer etc. Compared to the dwarfs or something.. With Agility its even more absurd! People just train on low walls.. Thats not even training it in any way it was ever intended to be trained. Thats a seperate issue like runecrafting was though..
  19. I finished with this weekend now. I just wish it would end so I could continue my conventional training. I dont care about .1 extra xp in things I dont wish to train right now.. However I am very happy with the levels I have gained and will reconcile to do some fishing until its all over. OVERLOADS!! WOOT WOOT! I began... --> ---> ...I Finishess. Was still expensive.. However thats enough overloads to last my personal goals forever. Im very happy with this outcome. I wasnt expecting to get anywhere near this level!
  20. XP WEEKEND!! 91-98 Herblore!
  21. They need to preferably rebalance this a bit. Certain things are quite tedius to get. Thieving. I had to pick pocket overall each time about 1500 men/women to get both stones. If I had pickpocketed anything higher it would of taken a rediculous amount of time through failing. Which obviously means I pick the best choice for less fails. Which means practically no xp or reward for my troubles. 1500 is 3000 clicks + 500 for being bored out of your mind on something too low a level. Agility is the same. Too much time is required. Doing a course is obsurd while doing low wall takes a considerable amount of time overall. I dont know how many clicks I had to do but it was similar to thieving. Runecrafting has been balanced! That was too long a task before but now its better. Construction my experience of getting 6 rocks has been ok. About 5 mins for all of them. It never changes for me. I pretty much know when to look and expect to see the rock.. After 5 minutes. (Whatever issue about it being a weird way to gain the rock put aside.) Now the worse... So far beyond anything else.. The hunter stones.. I spend about 2 hours each week hunting mainly falcony but also switching as I start to claw my eyes out. I dont know the exact number but I think I gained nearly 100k at the falcony getting the stones this week. ....Yeh. (It wasnt 'quite' that bad the previous weeks..this week was just rediculous though.) Btw I didnt get my second stone there. I switched to grey chins and got it on my second one. I am personally wondering if falcony is just plain awfull and I am making a mistake on my side bothering with them. I just cant hunt red chins for a 'rock' due to crowds so only other real practical option is grey chins.. Fishing is waaaay too fast. That needs to be harder. I find everything else to be reasonably balance... My luck has varied. Sometimes a few hundred. Sometimes a thousand. Averages at about 600. Which is fair enough.. However the ones I mentioned are the ones I think that need attention. That includes making them more common for higher leveled pick pocketing options. Its just impractical to suggest that you gain them through normal training. The ammount of time it takes to get these rocks thorugh the easiest and best methods (The lowest that offer no xp or reward - That is.) takes a very long time! Training normally is unrealistic. I would need to play 10 hours a day every day of the week probably. Its meant to be a WEEKLY distraction so you can add a piece to your poh statue. Plus if you actually want to finish it.. Its best you do it weekly or end up waiting years to complete.
  22. I am so gob smacked at the levels I am getting. For training herblore I kinda figured out the pots I would need to make and how many. However I never bothered to really guess at the xp I would gain. ..I started at 91 herb and I am now 96 making overloads!! I will certainly get 97 herb and possibly 98. (If not - Kinda close by a few hundred k.) I was expecting to get maybe 94 herb! Not nearly max out the skill lol! :ohnoes: Taking a bit of a brake as overloads are alot more clicky than the other stuff I was making. I think I should of actually did a rough calc on the experience I was going to gain lol. This is from both making lowish and highish pots. So not just pure high pots but lots of lower ones too.
